Location: He normally is a traveling repair service, but as we are 30-40 minutes away from Fresno, we brought our computer to him, which was no problem since we were in the area. I was looking for an affordable place that wasn't Best Buy to replace my laptop battery with a new battery I had bought. In hindsight, I probably could had done it myself (taking off the back) but I rather let an expert do it than accidentally break something. Also, I wasn't too sure how to clean up all the accumlated dirt and dust of three years. My laptop has been draining battery quickly over the past year as well as having fan problems (blowing loudly and hot). Yemi offered quick responses. He responded to my request for a quote and provided an affordable and reasonable rate. Compared to getting a whole new laptop and what I saw from Best Buy Geek Squad, I was willing to pay his rate. On the day of the appointment, I met Yemi who was professional and polite, asking briefly about my situation, and then after 45 minutes or so, I got my laptop back. He had me log in to my laptop to check if everything was functioning like if I could connect to the wifi. It did work, I could play a video on youtube just fine. He even explained the potential issue I could face since I didn't get a specific HP replaceable battery but used a third-party battery instead. By the end, he told me I could keep in touch for future questions and repairs, which I really appreciate. Overall, it's been a day since Yemi helped me out. My laptop definitely lasts longer now without the charger and the fan blows normally. Occasionally, it does still blow intensely, especially when I use heavier programs, but that's to be expected. The only problem that I've noticed is that my fan blows heavily when I'm both charging my laptop and using it. Not sure why that's happening but will chalk it up to my laptop being old. I appreciate Yemi's fast service, care, and affordability, especially since this was the first time I've gone to a more local place rather than a big tech/IT store like Best Buy. Wow, one phone call and this business saved me my printer! I was calling around different printer repair services and I was getting quotes for more than my actual printer was worth. They USB port cable that connects to my printer broke off, so I was unable to print. He suggested I try printing via WIFI, however I am a school teacher and my district does not allow my personal laser printer to be connected to the school network. He suggested I use WIFI DIRECT option, which I had never heard about. He gave me a review on how to do this over the phone and said it was pretty straightforward. I am not super tech savvy but I can figure things out. Thankfully, I did figure it out and am now able to print using WIFI DIRECT. Wow thank you so much Central Valley TechCare! I would give more stars if I could. While traveling, my machine would power on but would not give me a screen. I contacted Yemi when I was at LAX and he graciously agreed to coordinate with my schedule that day. Fast forward about 6 hours later and he came to my house and within 10 minutes was able to diagnose that my issue had to do with my memory cards. He took my machine with him and within an hour or so advised me as to what was wrong and my options. I had my computer back and working again within the next hour. We have hired this business ( Yemi ) on several occasions. In fact, he has helped us on several levels...fixing a laptop, swapped out a digital drive in a new computer. As many as others have said, I would totally agree. 5 stars is not enough, maybe 10 or more. I went to Yemi, with a disabled fan that wouldn't even let me start the laptop for more than about 45 seconds just enough to get so frustrated and ready to toss the computer into the pool. So I went on yelp, see who was close and could help? One company told me it would be 3-4 weeks depending on the part availability, mandatory payment in full before they would order the part. Not with Yemi, told me where to look and the approx. price "nailed it". Said it was very possible to have the work done within 24 hours, again "nailed it". I don't think he had my laptop for more than an hour. With out a doubt the BEST service, I will for sure recommend Yemi, to anyone that needs tech service on their computers from now on! Yemi, also gave advice on what to do to increase speed and efficiency on my laptop. I will be reaching out to him again soon to complete these tasks. NEEDS more that 5 stars in my book.
