    It appears that ADT is just another scamming company. I thought it was legit. I had used them…read morebefore with NorthStar in between. ADT bought them out. So I returned. My experience. My system was about 20 years old, batteries needed to be change throughout and I wanted to upgrade. A technition came to my home. Saul. He explained the new one and did a handwritten quote. $785.24. I asked for a breakdown of the the costs. One would be provided later. So the initial cost was $785.24 plus the month fee of $45.99 with a 2 year contract. Plus ADT still owns the equipment. Ok fine. It was installed. The first bill was $44.99 plus and additional $49.99. I call to find out why. (Another problem. the only humans you can talk to are overseas) Turns out that they have double billed me for another $1,103.76. $49.99 for 24 months? After 2 phone calls to Erika and Kumar, they told me the first contract was canceled and that there would be a $74.98 refund. I asked for a breakdown of the original $785 payment. Oh it will be emailed. Never got it. And so the saga goes on and on. My take. DO NOT DEAL WITH ADT. I don't know what they are smoking but it's not tobacco. Zero stars.

Its March 2021 and im still dealing with trying to resolve so many mistakes made by this company. I don't understand the level or incompetence that these employees at the office and on the phone have when it comes to billing and record keeping. We were told several times about random balances that are for leases or equipment not returned after they told us they didn't want to pick it up and after getting it all resolved they added another random amount and sent us to collections. They didn't even know why they thought they were still owed money until a year later and now claim its from a past due bill from April of 2020. (We canceled in February 2020). I couldn't be more displeased. Just stay away and look elsewhere.

    This company has been trouble for years, and now we are on the cusp of going with Comcast, despite…read moreour immense and intense dislike of that company. We feel stuck between the least trouble of two evils. Not the lesser of two evils--just the one that is the least hassle. When we moved into our house, we thought we would be happy with a local company that seemed to be pretty sophisticated for our home security. We like to support local businesses. But then our system started having trouble. And every time we had problems, it was a hassle to get somebody out for service. These people do not know how to provide service and support. It turned out that our system needed to be upgraded because apparently they did not install one with a sufficient wireless range for the size of our house. Or at least that is what the service guy said when they finally diagnosed the problem--the next time somebody came out, they denied that. So that was a few thousand dollars more, and we grumbled, but the system was working again, at least. Then a few years ago we wanted to add a video system. That was a hassle, just trying to get somebody to contact us to sell us more stuff. They had a sales guy who apparently had not figured out how to respond to email. Eventually, after several attempts, we managed to get through, and got some guys out to show us a FLIR system and get it installed. That was another few thousand dollars. Almost immediately, the video system had problems. It was not picking up motion as it was supposed to do, and we were not getting push notifications to our phones. As well, for whatever reason, the feature on the system that allows it to connect periodically to a clock server to reset its clock does not work, so we have a system with a clock that runs fast and frequently has to be manually reset. And, again, getting people out for service has been a hassle. Now, a couple weeks ago, our system just stopped sending motion notifications altogether. So my wife called to get somebody out. Nobody was available that day, so she set an appointment for 8:00 this morning. Nobody showed. Around 9:00, she called to find out what was going on. They first acted like they had nothing, but then said something about (inexplicably) having two different appointment systems (why?!), and told us that the person scheduled for our house in Fresno was on his way to Visalia and would not be available until this afternoon! That just about did it for us, because we had taken the day off to handle a variety of service matters, and did not appreciate this level of disrespect for our time. I let loose and laid into them on the phone for this nonsense. A little while later, they called back and said they would be able to "move some things around" and send a technician this morning. But then the lady on the phone wanted to know what I meant when earlier I had said they had been nothing but trouble. So I recounted the long story of irritation. She repeated that someone would be coming out. He did come, but then he was not able to do anything, and said it was a problem with the FLIR system. So now FLIR is supposed to be working on the matter from their end. I understand that kind of problem, and I would have expected FLIR to be better than that, but Sebastian is selling FLIR stuff, and we spent a lot of money on it, so I would hope that Sebastian is fighting hard with FLIR to ensure that their customers are not stuck with these downstream problems. I have not much faith that they are. The really frustrating thing is that we have spent so much money on equipment, and I worry that finding another company, like Comcast, to provide better service, will result in our needing to spend thousands of dollars more in different equipment. So we feel a little stuck, and very unhappy. Update: It has been over a week since we heard from Sebastian about the matter with the FLIR system. It still does not work. When we had the FLIR system installed, I asked what the subscription cost would be for the push notifications. The installer said there was no subscription cost. That surprised me, but okay. I thought that Sebastian would be (or want to be) reputable enough that they would not be selling a junk system with no support, and I thought FLIR was a good enough company that this would not be problem. "Maybe they make their money on the hardware," I said to myself. Apparently not. The push notifications have now been non-functional for over a month, and Sebastian has been non-responsive for over a week. I would give them zero stars, if I could. Further update: On top of all that, this company had the gall to send us a bill for this--just to try and make the system they sold us do what they represented it would do.

    After interviewing approximately seven solar companies, reading reviews, comparing pricing,…read moreevaluating customer service, and reviewing BBB ratings, I ultimately chose SunMade Solar Energy to expand my existing solar system. One thing that stood out immediately was that their pricing was highly competitive with the other companies I considered. While pricing was important, what really set SunMade apart was that they hold both solar and roofing licenses. This gave me additional confidence because I previously had a bad experience with another solar company that damaged my roof, failed to fix the problem, and later went out of business, leaving me to pay for the repairs myself. Our sales representative, Jon Bernal, was professional, patient, and knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions and never made me feel rushed. There was one item that the system designer later clarified, and although it wasn't a major issue, Jon personally reached out to notify me of the changes. That level of integrity and accountability meant a lot to me and demonstrated that he genuinely cares about his customers. The installation crew was professional, arrived on time, kept the work area clean, and communicated well throughout the process. After installation, I noticed a section of concrete that had become uneven due to settling. I contacted SunMade, and they returned within days to correct the issue and followed up to ensure everything was satisfactory. That kind of customer service is becoming increasingly rare. The entire process moved efficiently. Our first meeting with Jon was on March 28, we signed on March 30, the system was installed on April 27, the meter collar was installed on May 13, and we received Permission to Operate about a week later. Jon also helped us identify and secure available rebates. I would also like to thank Tara in the office. When I needed copies of my contract documents, she provided them promptly and without hesitation. Another positive observation is that the owner, Oz, appears to be actively involved with the company and personally responds to customer reviews. I noticed this during my initial research and felt it reflected a company that values customer feedback and satisfaction. At the time of this review, SunMade Solar Energy held an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. Based on my experience, they delivered competitive pricing, excellent communication, professional workmanship, and outstanding customer service. I would not hesitate to recommend SunMade Solar Energy to anyone considering solar for their home.

    I recently had my roof removed and reinstalled by SunMade. They did en excellent job. They are very…read moreeasy to communicate with and are prompt in answering questions. I was kept informed of the installation schedule and notified promptly if there were any changes in that schedule. My new roof is lovely and the job was completed on time.
