Recently got my solar panels installed at my home. David, a sales representative was super helpful and assisted me through the beginning stages of the solar install process. Once it was time to put the solar on the house, the guys who came out did a great job installing my solar and were able to finish the install by the time I got home. There was an issue with the electrical box (unknown exactly the issue). I called the solar team and they sent someone to my house within an hour of speaking with me. I received an alert on May 20, 2025 from mySolarEdge that my panels were not producing any solar. Upon inspection, I discovered that my panels had not been producing solar since March. When I called mySolarEdge to ask why I did not get consistent notifications, they said it was because the installer, Solar Negotiators, had put themselves as the "owner admin" and receive the notifications. They also informed me that these notifications are free as they are part of the app. I called Solar negotiators back and I was informed that they do get notifications from mySolarEdge. They initially stated that it was my responsibility to inform them of when my solar panels are not working so that they can repair it. However, when I reminded them that I do not even get notifications from my app because they are the owner admin, they admitted that they do receive notifications for my system and that they would normally catch it and reach out to me to repair it. They also stated that they have been busy over the Spring and therefore had not been able to address the issue in a timely manner. They advised me to send them a tru-up bill in order to receive reimbursement. I reached out to a representative on June 4th and provided them with my tru-up bill. However, they would not provide me with any updates or status changes unless I prompted them with emails. Finally, after my fifth prompt, I received an email from a customer representative informing me that I was responsible for notifying them of any loss of power and they would not be able to reimburse me at this time. This is completely different than what I was told on the phone previously. I believe this company was using misinformation and delayed responses in order to not address my issue. In addition, I was never informed that they had control over my account, which I believe is a tactic to force me to either consider paying an additional cost for their monitoring app, "Know Tru-up", or risk not get reimbursed when my system loses power without my knowledge. Edit: Cindy, the Chief Administrative Officer, did reach out to me and was very pleasant in trying to help me. She reached out to Solaredge and was also informed by them that Solar Negotiators did have full administrative access and that they could grant it to me. She attempted to work with making that change but nothing has occurred in the past two weeks. My review still stands but I do appreciate leadership taking accountability and trying to remedy the situation. read more

Once again, they have left us behind. We were with a company who have discontinued our panels. So we called this company. They came & gave us an estimate, then they ghosted us. We are both first responders, so we gave them another chance. Then their estimate was ignored, so we're our calls. Then finally, all further calls and plans were ghosted. We actually had an appointment they ghosted us from & never returned any calls. Don't believe they won't need you behind. They SO WILL! This company will leave you with nothing. All BS advertising and zero follow through. They will totally hang you out to dry. Numerous messages left. Zero responses. This company sucks! read more

Its been over a year and they still have finished the administrative paperwork on this. They point the finger at southern Edison but from what I saw is Southern Edison made changes to the rule and Solar Negotiators did nothing to prepare or even gain any knowledge of how to do this paperwork. Installation took 1 month if that since then its just been watching email traffic of nothing but incompetence. NOT VETERAN FRIENDLY. They are Veteran owned but they do not go out of their way to help other veterans at all. They like to advertise it but its a snake in sheep's clothing if you asked me. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with Solar Negotiators and the lack of communication throughout my project. My project manager, Idalia Cruz, repeatedly brushed me off and seemed to have no idea what was going on with my installation. On our first call, she said she was waiting for clearance from my contractor about a structure on my property. I stayed on top of everything because my solar loan was already approved and sitting in my account .I didn't want to start paying for something that wasn't even installed yet. At one point, I was paying my full PG&E bill and the first payment on my solar loan, yet I still wasn't even on the schedule ...which is why I kept calling and following up so much. After checking with my contractor, I learned he had already emailed Solar Negotiators a week earlier and never received a response. Only after I made another call did someone else from the company finally reach out and get me scheduled. The installation itself went fine, but once it was done, my system still wasn't turned on. When I called Idalia again, she dismissed my concerns and told me it takes "about 30 business days" for PG&E approval something I was never told before. A week later, PG&E approved it, yet my system was still off. When I called again, Idalia sounded annoyed and told me they needed two weeks to "monitor the system" before closing out the project. How can you monitor a system that isn't even on? Two more weeks went by, and only on the FINAL day of my contract did someone finally come out to turn my system on. It's now been two weeks since then, and I still haven't had a closeout meeting. I'm a returning customer and have referred several people to Solar Negotiators in the past, but I won't be doing that anymore. The customer service has gone downhill since my first experience in 2020. It feels like the company has grown too fast and can't handle the number of customers they take on, which shows in the lack of communication and care. Save yourself the headache and go with a different solar company. read more

Do not use this company. We did a lot of research on solar companies and felt this one was good. Right at the get go after we paid unfortunately there was a backlog on the battery which is understandable but once it got started it was extremely slow and sporadic. Months upon months of enduring not knowing what was going and sometimes getting a message they were coming on the same day. Off and on appointments with Edison, and it wasn't Edison. I would have to be home to open the gates. A larger electrical box was promised and they used our old box. We had to fight and fight to get a larger box which we are now having problems with the breakers. Then half way through they started demanding the second half of the payment and put a couple of their technicians in an uncomfortable position to ask me for the money, which I said no. It was horrible how it dragged on and on and we regret using them but wanted to see if the follow up was good before we wrote this. It took 8 months to install. And our box isn't working properly and they made an appointment to clean the panels and never showed up and we have an solar panel cleaning this friday and don't know if they are going to come. Cleaning the panels helps the solar work better so if they don't come it will affect our usage. One of the representatives we spoke to agreed that they should have not been demanding the final payment until the job was completed. We were so nervous that once we paid we'd never see them again and it seems like they aren't coming back to clean because it's been two weeks since they missed the last appointment. Please please do not use this company we spent months upon months not knowing when they were coming. Sometimes they would tell us that morning. We were hostages in our own home. The technicians that came were all great! It's the management of Solar Negotiators that are just horrible! I don't want to write reviews like this but if it stops one just one person from the misery we endured and all the money we spent and not having the follow up it's worth it! Every time we had something scheduled it always got pushed back or re scheduled, literally EVERYTHING. Started in July still haven't had my appt to go over all our stuff and finalize but they are demanding payment and already took it before my solar is active. So had I had to pay Edison and my loan company for the solar. Honestly Once you pay or are approved on the loan they couldn't care less about you because at this point they have your money and they will be quick to remind you of that. I even had my roof redone by them and still looks the same but They told me it was good. Look at the pictures. At this point I don't even believe the whole 25 year warranty BS but we'll see what other toxic business practices are in store. P.S : I forgot they caused damages to my house and didn't even tell me, only caught it due to my cameras. They ended up fixing it but only since I brought it up. read more

This company has been nothing but problems. I've had them had to replace cell cards, then replace the inverter with a new one because it was outdated which wasn't even that old. Now the replacement i was given is no longer working. I've been waiting on a new replacement for a month and no updates,only if I call which I get the run around on. They tell me they're waiting on the company to send a new one. It's just very unprofessional to tell your customers that they might want to call the manufacturer of the inverter and ask them about the delivery date yourself,"it might make them speed up the delivery". I definitely will not be recommend this company if they can't take care of their customers. read more

Contacted them to check out my solar system. They discovered what the problem was. Cost $300.00. After a couple of weeks i contacted them and they gave me and estimate on the cost to repair. $1000.00. I gave a deposit and they sent a tech (Mr Fox ) out for the repair. He was there for approx 2 hours. The system parts that failed was RMA by manufacturer. No cost to them. I requested a break down of the work that was completed. After 3 weeks of phone calls i was told they don't do that. Now they i am going to pay the balance. I dont think there is a company in the valley that charges $500.00 per hour labor read more

On May 20, 2025, my husband received an alert from mySolarEdge that our solar panels were not producing power. We later discovered the system had been down since March. When my husband contacted mySolarEdge, they explained that the installer, Solar Negotiators, had set themselves as the "owner admin" on our account--meaning they received all outage notifications, not us. These alerts are free with the app. When he called Solar Negotiators, they first claimed it was his responsibility to notify them of outages. After being reminded that we could not receive alerts due to their "owner admin" status, they admitted they do receive the alerts and typically contact customers--but had been "too busy" to do so this spring. They instructed him to send our tru-up bill for reimbursement. My husband sent the bill on June 4, 2025. Despite multiple follow-ups, the company delayed responding and ultimately refused reimbursement, contradicting what they had told him previously. This conduct shows: 1. Failure to notify despite having exclusive control over outage alerts. 2. Contradictory statements about customer responsibility. 3. Deliberate delays in communication. 4. Lack of transparency about controlling our monitoring account--potentially to push customers toward their paid "Know Tru-up" service. read more

Used this company for solar and new roof. When the company they used to deliver roofing came to my house it was awful. They didn't use my driveway. They came across my sidewalk and lawn. They tore deep grooves into my lawn and gouge. They cracked the sidewalk and broke my concrete slab. When I informed them they got in contact with me quickly. They said they would correct it. They were to full in the lawn and were going to cut the concrete slab and re pour it. I told them all they need to do is cutbthe concrete flush and remove the broken piece. No need to re pour it. They insisted they want to do it right. So I said that's fine. They came in and fixed the lawn. Instead of cutting the broken piece flush and removing it and re pouring they just cut a chunk out and left it. Looks worse then when it was broken. Have spoken to at least 5 different people about it and nothing has been done about it read more

They installed solar years ago for me. Did 24 panels. They have had to replace panels and cell cards but it is always a fight and hassle. Now I have 3 bad panels (they installed Canadian not USA made) they will only replace with different size and different color. They will not recommend any other companies to do what they can not do. So now I have 1 non working panel (for about 8-12 months) and 2 under-producing that should be covered under warranty (but cant match the size or color) that I'll have to have replaced my another contractor. When this company first started it was a great company and all about customer service, i recommended to everyone. Now it's "this is what we will do take it or leave it, we really don't care". Or they also said "We are not able to give you a company that might have one, they only thing we can advise is that you try to source the module online somehow." My install took a significant amount of time to not only get started but also complete. They failed to call before trenching and severed the main PG&E line that was underground to my house. In the process it destroyed the new electrical panel they had just installed as it ripped the lugs and wires out of the panel down the wall of my house. They did fix all the damage and I went half a day with no power as PG&E crews had to had dig to find the wires to rerun a new line to the house. They did compensate me for some PG&E charges for the delays. I've updated my review based on trying to do additional business with them. I wanted to purchase a Tesla battery and no one would return my calls. In 8/2024 I tried to hire them to redo some wiring so my solar would charge my Tesla battery. Adriana promised someone would reach out to me and I waited a month and several follow up emails before reaching out to Cindy Michael with the email chain and still no reply. My system was paid for in cash anytime payment was requested. They will spam your email looking for referrals for new systems. I've never found a company where it was so difficult to spend my money on upgrades. They have some amazing people who work there. It's sad the sales team always wishing for more as once they got the money it's difficult to get anyone to talk to you. We went with solar negotiators in July 2025. The sales rep Jeffrey told us that we would have our solar within 30 days. We are now in December, but throughout all these months I still have no no service. I'm still paying PG&E. Every time my husband and I call they all have a different story. They're never on the same page. They say call the main manager John next thing you know we call in a few days now he no longer works there this company is a bunch of BS and gives you the runaround. I am seriously frustrated with lack of communication. They don't call you. We have to call them like maybe every 2 to 3 weeks because they don't return any phone calls they really suck! Already have solar but have panels 17 years old that stopped producing. Had another company add additional panels but had horrible experience with them getting things to work. Went to Solar Negotiators and had a technician come out and assess our situation which was done professionally and we were given results quickly. Outcome was that we needed to remove old 17 year old panels and add some new panels. Requested a quote from salesman and never heard back. Reached out 2 more times and nothing. Made one last call and was told "give me an hour" and I'll get back to you. That was weeks ago. Have never heard from them since. One of my panels became defective at the beginning of January 2025. We were able to call and had a technician come out at the end of January 2025 and he informed us that he will go ahead and proceed with a request to replace the panel. We have not yet been contacted or updated with regards to the current status of the replacement. It is now March 27, 2025 and when I reached out to Solar Negotiators to inquire about the status, I was informed that they were still waiting on the panel to come in. 2 months without any updates seems very unprofessional. The excuse that Jasmine gave me was that this is not something that they usually do and that they do have other customers, too. However, this does not dismiss the fact that you have a customer who is left in the dark after 2 months of no contact. This is my first time contacting Solar Negotiators after we install the system and the difference between when they're trying to earn your business and the after they sold you the system is night and day in customer service. The first visit was great after that it was down. The service for cleaning was every 6 month. After the one cleaning, they never showed up, I called and the hade me set for a few month later, 8 Month past the due date, no reason give and after I ask for a called back, nothing. Lest get back to this schedule cleaning no showed up, excuse raining, no rain in site, told for schedule Saturday three day later no Showed, their excuse when i called they don't work on Saturday so they don't have an answer. They started the process on our home since last August 2025 and have yet to officially sign off on the work. We had the absolute work experience with their staff and contractors that came out to do the work. Their lack of communication and professionalism is a negative 10/10. All we kept hearing it was a PG&E issue which wasn't the case. It was their lack in motivation to submit proper documents for inspections and what not. I have literally been paying a solar bill for months now to our credit union, and had zero solar hooked up.They damaged stucco on our home and sent a guy out to repair it that did a half a$$ job in the evening using only his cell phone light to complete the work. As of right now, I am giving 1 singular star. My husband and I started the solar process back in May 2024 with this company. The initial steps to begin the process was wonderful. We were informed of all necessary steps and was told it would be approximately 6 weeks to get the system up and going. We were getting email updates on progress and what they were pending etc...which was all well and good. However, it was not until September 9th that our panels were FINALLY installed. 3 months later. They initially scheduled our install for Sept 6, my husband and I rearranged our work schedules and personal appointments to accommodate the Sept 6th install appt. They were scheduled to arrive between 8am and 10am. THEY NEVER SHOWED UP!!!! No call, no text no nothing! I called the company 5 separate times that same day to get an answer as to what happened. I received the same response from the rep every single time that they have no way to get in touch with the installers and they would send an urgent message for the installer to call me about the failed showing to appointment. We did not get any response from anyone until the next day (Saturday) and so again I had to rearrange my work schedule so they can come out the following Monday 9/9. So, they came out that Monday and it got installed. I was then told at that time that the next and final step would be for the company to reach out to schedule the final inspection and then the solar would be turned on. Okay, no problem right? WRONG AGAIN! It is now 9/28 and I have yet to get a call, email, anything about the final inspection. Over a week ago my husband called them to find out what the status is, was again told they would have someone get back to him. Again, no follow up by the company. I called them myself on Friday 9/27 and told them this is ridiculous and how can a company run a business like this when this is how they treat their brand new customers. So again, I got told them same thing. Someone will get back to you. WTF....to date 9/28 still no follow up by them. I WILL CALL THEM AGAIN ON MONDAY AND TELL THEM TO COME GET THEIR PANELS OFF OF MY ROOF AND THEY JUST LOST A CUSTOMER. How am I supposed to feel confident with giving this company my business when this is how it has been handled. What if I have issues with the panels moving forward, am I going to get the same type of service. read more

Update: after recent rain storms, turns out there are still leaks, the ceiling repair from last time is tearing, and now I am gonna spend another month to get them to come out and "fix" it again. They are charging $198 to come check to see if it is their fault, was a brand new house that was inspected, no inspector ever checked their shoddy work. Wish I never got solar, especially from this company. Also they claimed they would have people monitoring the panels and production, just discovered a panel hasn't been working for 3 months, some monitoring. The people to fix the panel are apparently not the same that fix leaks and not same to repair ceiling. read more

So...I have reviewed Solar Negotiators several times now. I am redoing my star rating to a FIVE because they give 5-star customer service. This company, and their owner, cared so much about doing the right thing that they tracked me down to find out what issues I was unhappy about. But they did not leave it at just that...they went way beyond the extra mile to ENSURE that I was a happy customer. I don't think I have ever experienced a company that cared more about having happy customers. I can now, without hesitation, recommend Solar Negotiators to you. The care they gave to ensuring we were happy goes way beyond the customer service that is out there nowadays. Updated review: Although we were instructed to keep an eye on the lights of our inverters, I failed. I believed the system would also monitor the inverters. One of our inverters malfunctioned back in April, and once I realized both lights were off I contacted Dawn, who prompted ensured a service call was completed. Steven showed up on time and switched out our broken Solar Edge inverter for a new Solar Edge inverter. He was pleasant and completed the work quickly. Unfortunately I am unable to view our production on the application because of the Independence Day weekend. However, I have been assured that problem will be corrected eminently. read more

Here we go again, let me start from the beginning five years ago they put solar at my house they promised to have it installed before the end of year for the tax credit I ordered in October, they missed their installation and didn't get it installed to the end of March. In the meantime they dug up my electric gates ruined them, ( which the electrical was marked) they tried to fix them themselves but my gates still don't work properly 5 year later. They told me a sub contractor did the install. When I tried to call the sub contractor , they disappeared. Then they told me they were going to come out for my monitoring and had to replace a Wi-Fi chip back in February, then they said March then they said April, then they said don't worry it'll happen before your wifi stops and you cannot monitor. then shipping delays, then shortages, then May then June and July and I can't monitor my system, they came out three or four weeks ago to put the new chip in and it doesn't work. Oh it's due to the times, or because of shortages, no it's the same way they did business five years ago. The one thing I asked was don't mess up my solar production reporting, and I just got my PG&E bill and it appears my solar is not reporting to PG&E yet I've called a variety of numbers , when I googled them, many numbers didn't work, numbers that don't dial and then when I got a hold of somebody, finally , I don't know what this person does but they could hardly speak and certainly could not fix any issues or even know what to do with a problem. I hate writing bad reviews for a company but this is just a joke, my whole $37000 purchase with them has just been a joke and now l believe my solar is not reporting to PG&E so now it's worthless. Seems they did something to my system when they were working on it tying to fix Wi-Fi monitoring. I paid for solar and now I get to pay for PG&E too , I suppose, I don't know since nobody there can help me. They only way I have been able to get a response is to write a review. I tried to get a quote from this company. I scheduled an appointment online, and at the time of the appointment no one showed up and no one called. When I tried to reach them I was told they canceled the appointment because I wrote "Stop" on what I thought was a spam text. They never tried to call me. The kid I was talking to couldn't care less that they missed the appointment, no apologies. I asked to talk to a manager, none were available. I asked for a call from one, got a voicemail a few hours later, still no apology. I tried calling that person back, not available. Someone did call me the next morning and I just returned the call. No apologies and apparently they don't need my business. Zero professionalism. I can only assume this will carry over to the quality of work they provide. Why should anyone have to work this hard just for a quote? Im going with a different company that is professional and actually cares about its customers. read more

We decided not to go through with solar negotiators (SN) as we did not agree with an agency they contract with (HDM). All I can say to help a family who is considering solar with SN is to read your contract very carefully. If it sounds too good to be true, it just might be. read more
