My plan was to get at least (3) estimates and then make a decision based not on the cheapest but on who I thought could be trusted. The week before I started to call for estimates I received a flyer on my front door from New View Roofing. Once I'd looked at some of their reviews I decided to make them one of my estimates. I called two other of the recommended companies first and received less than satisfactory responses. I then spoke with Eddie from New View Roofing and immediately began to sense this was the company I could trust. The day after our phone call Eddie showed up early for our appointment and then proceeded to spend the next 2.5 hrs assessing my roof's condition, making recommendations and answering all of my questions. I felt completely confident that I could trust him with such an important project. His crew showed up exactly on time the day we agreed they would start and had the old roof removed in just a few hours. They replaced a small amount of plywood, one facia board, rain gutters and additional ventilation. The whole project took about four days and the crew arrived on time every day. They were extremely responsible and provided quality work. All necessary inspections and paperwork were handled efficiently. There were no surprises and the communication from Eddie was excellent. I had asked for a brand new roof. I talked to multiple contractors in town and out of town. And it came down to a mix of quality and pricing. Compared to the other quotes I got. They were not the cheapest but they were also not the most expensive. The cheaper companies were offering less services and not using as durable supplies. Since this was my roof I wanted something that would last. I went with quality. New View Roofing uses quality material and is a platinum preferred contractor by the roof Owen Corning which testifies to their workmanship. The process was about 3 days long.
