Doing a half roof for me, the job was okay, but they had to come back to install the ridge row of sheets. THey also had to return to reinstall a water shield over the front door, and the one they installed was shorter than the one that was there originally. I need to have shingles torn off a low slope roof and have rolled roofing installed. AAA Roofing looked like they had a good record and good reviews but I was very disappointed with them! I called to make an appointment for a roofing bid. No one available so I left a message. No call back so I called back and again had to leave a message. I finally got a call back from Ray on the 3rd day after my first message. He offered to come the next day, and I was glad he was willing to come on a Saturday morning. He didn't text or call before coming to confirm anything. When Ray didn't show up on time I texted and asked when he was coming. He said he was leaving. I asked how long till he would get there. He said he already came and left. He was going to his next appointment. I told him that he was not at my house already. He said he came and no one was home, no cars at the house, so he went on the roof and looked. I told him he must have been at the wrong house, but he was sure he was at the right house. I told him he needed to come back. I was waiting in the front yard when Ray came down the street. I could see he was looking around at the houses. He pulled up right in front of my house and didn't even see me. He started to drive further down the road and I yelled at him to get his attention. Then he saw me and stopped. He said he went to the vacant house next door. His excuses just tell me he's not very organized and not good about details. When he did look at the roof he gave me a verbal quote which I think is way under bid for tearing off and installing rolled roofing. He suggested just doing a repair but that's not what I want done. He never sent me an actual bid on paper and I haven't heard from him since the day we met. I would not recommend using them. read more

We had to replace our roof and needed a roofer who could also remove and reinstall our solar panel system. Quote was competitive plus offered a veteran discount. The crew worked fast and cleaned up debris fairly well. The finished roof looked good, but not happy it was installed with the solar racks still attached. Cons: Misunderstandings and lack of communication. I asked if he could remove our solar panels and racking. He said yes, he could do it. I took that to mean that Rey would do it. He used a subcontractor and when I returned home in the afternoon, the panels were removed and stacked on each other on our back patio, but the racks were not removed. After project was completed and passed inspection, I noticed that a couple of solar panels weren't lining up as they were originally and appeared scratched and/or dented. Thinking the service was completed in good faith, a couple of months later, we received a Notice of Mechanics Lien from the roofing supply company against our property wherein the contractor and/or the homeowner are responsible to pay for materials used in X amount of days or the property would go into foreclosure. To make a long story short, there were a few phone calls, but mainly text messages with Rey. Essentially, Rey said the lien balance was paid for on September 13, 2024. Not true according to the credit department of Pacific Supply. On October 4, 2024, I got a text message from Rey with a picture of a cashier's check for the lien balance dated October 3, 2024. I would hate to see another homeowner, family, or veteran go through the stress we experienced by having a mechanics lien placed on their property because a business owner lacks integrity, is dishonest, and doesn't operate in good faith. read more

Pro's then the Cons 1) roofing was quick and clean 2) Quality looks good 3) Ray was quick to answer all texts 4) I found an issue and Ray came out to look at it. I wasn't home to verify the issue was fixed but his company does have a real good rating on the BBB. Cons 1) Must be busy but original contact was by texts. Had to ask for sample to look at. If you know what you want then I guess this way is quick and easy 2) I did not know the schedule and was surprised tear-out started on a Saturday when I wasn't home. 3) Communication should have been better on his end but he did always return my texted questions promptly. It would have been nice if he initiated the calls and give me a heads up. Overall, real nice guy and his BBB reputation is good which is most important. He is bonded and insured. I also wanted to see their workmanship, so owner, Ray Mendoza, allowed me to view other roofs they had done nearby. I like to help small local businesses when I can, and Ray is the epitome of small, mostly family run businesses. They live in the community they serve!! His crew was polite and professional and cleaned up all removed debris and errant shingles. We had a few hiccups with the payment, as we had requested to pay with a CC, but he also fixed that problem by obtaining a new CC servicer. From start to finish it was about 4.5/5 days! The absolute BEST part was seeing the new roof when it was done!! I had chosen sage color shingles and he (or his guys) offset it with a black drip line that outlined the whole house!! Good company. Great affordable prices. They did a good job installing the roof, any concerns that came out after roof was installed (not many) they fixed within a couple of days. This job is messy considering they had to strip 3 layers of shingles, but they cleaned as much as possible. All staff was friendly. They answered any question I had in a timely manner. It took a week for all to be done but it was because of the City inspector delay. Our roof looks great. Too early to tell of any leaks, but I'm confident it will be okay. Our neighbors are using this company currently. Whoever drives the black F350 for the company is a very inconsiderate driver. We have had to deal with our driveway being blocked because this person parks in front of our driveway, completely blocking it, on at least 4 different occasions. 1 star for that dude. On a positive note though, the workers we have encountered have all been very polite and seem to be doing a great job on the roof. 5 stars for them! (I'm averaging the 1 star for bad driveway blocker and 5 stars for the great workers to give a 3 star rating.
