I pay extra money to get Xfinity's top tier of internet service. Speed is generally good. However the problem is RELIABILITY: Today we had our 3rd outage in the last ~35 days. Two of those days I was trying to do business out of my home office, and the service was down almost all day the first time, and today it's down half the day and all the way until midnight (eta to be back up)! This severely impacts my business operations. I can't have all the web meetings I have scheduled each day when internet service goes down. And not only do they have frequent outages, but they're not short outages! In CA where we last lived, you'd have an outage of maybe 2-3 hours when we (rarely) had an outage. Incompetent and rude service technicians. I cancelled my cable (TV) and wanted to keep my internet. When they disconnected my cable service my internet was interrupted. After hours on the phone with their tech's one came out in person. He left saying that he really didnt understand what the problem was and it wasnt fixed. He did say that my (personal) modem and router were fine and that the underground cable to my house was fine. Second guy came out. His name was Rafik. He was rude, did not remove his dirty shoes, tried telling me my modem and router were faulty and he then swapped those out for the xfinity one (at a rental fee of $14 per month) which didnt work any better. Then said it was the cable to the house and he drilled another hole in my wall to run a new cable line to a place in my home where I specifically said I did not want it. He began rushing out the door and said it was fixed. It wasnt even close. And then he left. And he left my house dirty and trash inside and out. My business uses xfinity and we have to call them multiple times a year with problems. Internet outages when we are in a major city, their solution was to pay extra so that doesn't happen. They were charging me for add on services I didn't ask for. They were charging me for 2 lines when I only had one and they did that twice. They have had to send me 3 sim cards because each one would only last a few months before having an issue. I am losing clients currently because I can't make outgoing phone calls and they are just telling me to turn my phone off and on again which I have tried. Worst company ever. read more

Let me say I only give Xfinity a 2 because it if were possible to give a zero I'd give that to century link and give xfinity the 1 start. The ratings should be century link zero stars xfinity one star. I cannot wait for Ting Fiber in Centennial. Firing xfinity will be such a job. Where I'm at in 80122 century link's speed was slower, their ping was higher, and I had more outages. I can say that with Xfinity my connection is usually on. Their modem/router is not impressive which is why I bridge it to a good router for the electronics in my 2800FT² house. The 2.5/5ghz wifi couldn't keep TV's or laptops going no matter where I tried to move my router from xfinity. I pay $85 a month for internet only (I have Hulu, Netflix, and amazon prime accounts for customer entertainment at our business) and a good old HDTV antenna for local channels. My best speed test is 80-85mbps down and 6mbps up with a rather good ping of 9 (to a Denver server) on speedtest.net We recently had our 20 year old TV streaming, music streaming, video game playing some move to school at Washington State and someone each month we're still "maxing out our monthly data limits". Now there's only 3 of us and the 16 year old doesn't even have wifi access a lot of the time due to not earning them academically. Bandwidth limits are garbage. We're not those people downloading and uploading stolen music or movies or hosting anything. Just watching some tv and playing some Pandora in the garage. With Ting Centennial I'll have a $200 install fee and pay $89 a month for 1GBPS up/down with no limits. If you don't need that fast of speed they'll do Fiber 5GBPS up/down for $20 a month which I'm sure when real world tested will still outrun century link and Comcast/xfinity. read more

Xfinity's TV voice command is wonderful but they do not carry Altitude Sports broadcasts for the Avalanche and Nuggets in CO. because of a contract dispute, so unfortunately I had to switch to Direct TV. Xfinity"s mobile service is the worst compared to other internet providers. My iPad constantly crashed and I made 5 trips to the Xfinity store to try and resolve the problem. 5 different salespersons had 5 different reasons for the problem and I was even given a new iPad. Ultimately I paid $75 for a technician to come out and diagnose the problem as inadequate bandwidth. Xfinity can not adequately support its customers in my Apartment complex and so I finally had to switch to ATT which provides 5G service, and the problem disappeared. Now to add insult to injury Xfinity wants the iPad back which was an incentive to upgrade my AppleX iPhone and they could not adequately support it at my residence. read more

This company is a scam. They make it nearly impossible to cancel your service. I've called 3 times to try to cancel and each time they inform me that the service is cancelled. I then get an email saying that I have an outstanding bill to pay for the next month. It is not possible to find the cancellation link by navigating the website. It is also not available in the application. (Here it is by the way: https://www.xfinity.com/support/cancel-service). You have to schedule a call and wait for a rep to call you back. They inform you verbally that your service has been cancelled, but they just keep charging you bills. There is no way to get a written confirmation that the service is cancelled. Besides this, the service is terrible. It was down for half a month and the modem that they tried to make me rent didn't work. Stay away from this company. They are cheaper than century link at 200MB/s but it is not worth the hassle. You'll end up getting charged for an extra month or two that you don't use anyway and spend hours on the phone trying to get them to simply cancel the service. read more

They don't pick up the line or give you the run around and say we have no documentation of your calls so we still charged your credit card (without authorization) and btw you have late fees. I had to stop payment on my CC in order for Xfinity to stop charging me $68/mo +$30 late fees so 98/mo which was much higher than $39.99/mo. Then, they started caring me. Shocking how they want their money and have no problem charging late fees for their charges that were not notified. Switched to WebPass, Hulu and Firestick for our viewing needs. My husband and I are elderly, so Comcast/Infinity seemed so much easier. But... if you count the stress of outages, lack of response, outright lies, ie: "we know of a power outage in your area, we're working on it!" Except that my bedroom TV is working fine, liars. Ugh. They would exchange equipment without even resetting the equipment. Or even look at it. They just put in a bin and send it back out. With settings that the previous customer had set. People would call and say my wifi is not there. I would look at the settings and see the settings from the previous customer. If you can avoid them I would. They are a rip off. I repeatedly asked for clarification of bill details, and options to reduce total monthly spend, taking 30 minutes to get answers (sort of) on what should have been a 5 minute call. The operator can't give me the info because of the way your system is setup. Likely not her fault. In summary, you've got me in a corner the way your pricing packages work. If I want high speed internet, it comes with a more expensive package of channels 99% of which I don't use. Plus, somehow for 3-4 years I ended up with AMC+ at $6.50 to $8.50 (today) when I never ordered it. I finally asked to remove the AMC+ and phone, and saved only $10/month. You've got a racket! You've pushed me to the point where I will now look for "cutting the chord" options (YouTube, etc.). Add this to the whole Altitude sports debacle and it's a shame. read more

As the installer was hooking it up I was told that my service would be bad. He installed a transformer to help increase my service, but I still don't get the service I m paying for. And xfinty tells me they can't help me. But the could by lowering my rate to accommodate my service. If there was any service I could get I would dump them. Also just so u know when u have an issue and they tell u to reset ur box ect. Make u do the job for them even know u pay them for the service and they don't pay u to fix it. Understand if resetting ur box doesn't fix it then they expect u to give more of ur time to wait for someone to come fix it. Hear is what they don't want u to know. I have had Xfinity since 2014 and every time my contract is up they have no problem double charging for what my "promotion" was before it expired. Make sure you sign up for a new promotion before your year is over, or they will get you. Also check your internet speed. I pay for 100 Mbps and only get 32 - 35 Mbps with only 2 devices connected...at midnight. Rip off, I have to wait for Netflix to load and pay for a bunch of channels I hardly watch. read more

For the past month our Comcast/Xfinity Internet Service drops several times throughout the day. The only way to reinstate service it is to reboot the modem/router. This is getting very frustrating. I attempted to call an Xfinity representative to have them troubleshoot the problem. I'm prompted to request a call back from a representative. I do get a call back, however, it is another automated system that prompts me to dial one when the Xfinity customer, myself, is on the line. When I dial one as instructed, the automated voice states "invalid entry". After several attempts at dialing one in order to speak to a representative, the automated voice finally states, "time has expired goodbye" and the call disconnects! If you are new to the Denver area, or just shopping for Internet service, stay away from Comcast/Xfinity. Their customer service is horrible and they provide shoddy service. Xfinity & Comcast have to be the worst internet providers in service & Customer Service. I have contacted them SEVERAL TIMES about my poor internet connection & the fact that it keeps dropping me. Since I work from home & pay for the biggest connection that they have available, I felt like this was unacceptable & called to complain. They basically told me that this must be something I was doing because they showed connectivity on their side. Ummm...yeah a "connectivity" download speed of 48.6 when I am paying for 1250. IF you ever get anyone on the phone, their agents NEVER speak English as their first language so you have to explain you issue to about 40 people to find someone who vaguely understands you. Then no matter what you tell them THEY DO NOT DEVIATE from the script. So I DEFINITELY DO NOT Recommend Comcast or XFinity & wish that I didn't need their intermittent connection to work from home. Wow...we just moved to Denver and all I wanted was reliable internet and TV. Our system went down today and I spoke to a pleasant women who committed to getting someone out that day. I was impressed...UNFORTUNATELY that was a lie. I then got an automated text that they could not come that day. I called and waited on hold for over an hour to talk to a supervisor (the customer service person was remote and could not get ahold of anyone). This comically went on for 45 mins until a supervisor finally came on to tell me that there was nothing they could do. I pay over $250 a month for a non working internet and TV. Even with the system is working it struggles to get to 50 MBPS when I am paying for a gigabit!!! Never had these problems with DirectTV or Verizon. Fios please come to Denver!!!!! This company needs Jesus. Here are the issues that I have had in the past year alone starting with the most recent: 12/28/12 Changed address and transferred my service to a new address. Internet worked fine but phone couldn't make calls or receive them(keep in mind this is a business line.) Too much to deal with right now since I just moved. 1/3/12 Wake up to both phone and internet being completely out of service. Reset modem 5 times to see if that will work. Nada. Call Comcast and wait on hold for 48 minutes. Comcast lady: "it looks like your equipment wasn't transferred over on our end...hold please" 26 minutes later...."could you read me your serial number off of the modem?"...."yep, thats the right one" ":hold please"....17 minutes later...."looks like your modem is not working..." Me: "My internet is working now." Comcast lady: "really?" "Cool, I guess we are all set" Me: "My phone still isnt working." Comcast Lady: "Ya, you are going to have to call this activation number to get your phone activated: 1-855-652-3446." Me: Can you transfer me, or will I have to wait on hold again? Comcast Lady: "you will have to wait on hold again, I can't transfer to that department" Me: "I guess I will just go fuck myself then?" Comcast Lady: ................. I hang up and call the activation number..... 31 minutes later....I get an activation lady that basically cannot help me in any way because it is a technical issue on Comcast's end. I get transferred to the phone technical support.... 46 minutes later.....mind you, this all started at 11am. It is now after 2pm. Comcast guy: "Looks like you are having some trouble with your phone?" Me: "From the hold times, it looks like everyone is." Typically, since I use my phone for work, I forward it to my cell when I leave the house. I do this later on in the day and receive calls as usual. I un-forward the phone when I get home. 1/4/12 I wake up to my cell phone ringing....its a work call. I continue to get work calls on my cell phone all day long. I repeatedly un-forward the work phone to no avail. I have XFINITY (Comcast) and it is terrible. There aren't many options for us here and our building was already wired for XFINITY and it's not DSL like CenturyLink so we thought we were getting a deal. NOT. If you need internet/phone right away, make sure you call way in advance. It took them about a week or 2 before anything was installed because they had to come and make sure they could wire the building for us. We were told it already was by the landlord and the guy that came out said it wasn't and that it was going to be really hard for them to wire it... The guy that came to install it said it was already wired and did it super quick. And he was super respectful so props to him. Their prices are ridiculous. We got the most basic of everything and still pay a crap ton. Now for the real kicker. Their customer service is just flat out whack. I've called them for multiple issues and no one ever seems to know what I'm talking about. If you have no idea what that is or if you even offer it, DO NOT OFFER IT! I've been transferred back and forth so many times when I call and I tell them what is going on and they just keep transferring me back and forth. Not to mention that half the people they transfer me to are "outside" companies who do not manage or have access to anything. Half the time when I'm being transferred, an error occurs and then I get kicked out. What a waste of time. Lastly, nothing on their website works. You can pay bills and that's about it. How convenient. Anything else you try to do will show that there's an error and then you can't do anything. read more

We have had multiple outages in our home with the services Comcast provides. I called Tech support (on Saturday morning) and the Rep "Macy" explained that they were "sorry" again, and would set up an apt for a tech to arrive the following morning between 7a-8a. She said that I had been scheduled and to have a great day. At 8:25am (Sunday) I called the center questioning where my technician was, the lady on the line stated that I didn't have an appointment, and was confused why I thought I did. (I had the previous days callon speaker with 3 witnesses to the "scheduled"appointment). She was able to locate that I had called and that I was in fact right, but there would be NO technicians availible for today. They have once again re-scheduled my service call for tomorrow... we pay around $3,000 a year for crap services and i am about over it. read more

I do not want to present a salacious continuation of these complaints, but rather add to the mounting case against this company. My goal is to be objective about this negative review. For the last 3 weeks, my Xfinity home has not been working. They call me daily to state that it is not working. Each time, they advise me to follow the same process (resetting modem, router, etc), none of which have worked. So, I finally decided to call today against my better judgment. The countless hours of my precious life I have wasted on these guys is nauseating. I had to verify my information no less than 3 times before I finally got to an Xfinity home specialist, who admitted he could do nothing for me. I stated, "of course not! Why would you be able to actually help me?" I apologized for the sarcasm and informed him the frustration was directed at the company. Even the employee, during a recorded conversation, agreed with me. He admitted that the company is disjointed and makes simple tasks daunting and enfuriating. I now have to call back at home at some point to get this sorted out. I have been a Comcast customer for over 10 years now and the simple answer as to "why I still use them" is because I have no choice. Just like the millions of other Americans. This is a monopoly through and through which is illegal in the United States, yet no one does anything about it. It is sickening. Rep never even bothers to ask me for my new address before putting me on hold. The rep then returns to say that I owe $66.58. He asks me if I am able to pay it now. I ask him to e-mail or mail the final bill to me so I can review it and have a paper trail. Representative tells me he can't generate a bill and send it, but if I pay it now he will mail the final bill that says I owe nothing. HUH? Sooo, lemme get this straight: I can only get a copy of my bill if I pay it sight unforseen right now, but a bill can't be sent to me otherwise. THAT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE! Classic Comcast! I declined to pay the bill at this time. It would be SUPER DUPER STUPID to just take a Comcast reps word for it. Knowing Comcast they'll try to bill me another $300 IN ADDITION to the $66.58. I have been a customer since ATT was the Cable provider 25 years and it has been a continuing battle over service issues price raises even when I have a Supposed Contract for 2 years and speaking to Customer Servce reps & Managers that refuse to give you there names I constantly get someone when I call in A 3rd World Country that does speak a form of Pigeon English from around the Globe . I received yet another price increase and called for 10 hours after the price agreed upon was different in writing yhan the Columbian promised and agreed to I eventually spoke to Mr No Name the Purported Manager he stated that the printed prices are the same for the entire State of Colorado and after the 30 day period to cancel I happened to go to an old friends house warming 6 miles South of me in Parker , CO the Comcast bill was out so I asked if I could see it after viewing his bill he had a much lower bundle price that included Alarm Systems and Cell Phones 4 for 199.00 a month including Cables best package 2 home phone lines and Internet . I asked the customer service rep to explain that scenario at first he denied it saying all published rates are the same in Colorado I gave him my friends name and at that point he admitted that Google is very competitive in 2 Cities Parker being 1 of 2 then refusing to say where the 2nd City was so they are Liars Fraudsters and Violate the Robinson Pattman act call Google I am going to get a quote from them and pay the 1 month service bill to break my contract and Sue them afterwards what a bunch of lieing thieves . read more

Have to talk to 5 computers to reach a human in a foreign country. Pay $75 a month that was $35 two years ago for service that isn't worth $15. System goes down every other month and it's a chore or long wait to get it back up. They never give a discount for time lost. Lags like crazy. The employees are amazing people, but comcast is rotten eggs. Every single time I go to pay my bill; something is completely wrong. I have what I THOUGHT was a very simple service: High Speed Internet. For this- I pay 40$ a month, which is frankly ridiculous, but what have you. Centurylink does not provide service to my building and if we're going to be completely honest- they suck too. Somehow, every time I go to pay my bill which I was promised would consistently be 40$ for the rental of a modem and the 30$ internet service- the bill has jumped to 70 or 60 bucks. Every month I have to call a comcast employee and ask- "What the hell is this? This is NOT what I signed up for." Now there's another thing, the employees who work for this company are REALLY REALLY nice, but holy mother of god nobody knows what they are doing. Every month I get a different story on what they can and can't do, I get a different baffled employee trying to tell me that I'm being charged for modems that I don't have a TV services that I've never heard of. It's infuriating, and I'm tired of wasting my time. Last month I went ahead and paid the 76 dollars because I was promised that my next bill would be credited the excess and I would only be paying 16. Sure enough I go to pay my bill and it's over 40 dollars again. The very nice girl on the phone fixed it for me, but I don't want to spend time that I am supposed to be doing my college homework with on hold with Comcast. The SECOND my lease is up I'm cancelling this service because this company is downright crooked. The real kicker? my internet does not even work in my bedroom which is less than 100 feet away from the modem. screw you Comcast. read more

I am dumping these guys... After several years the internet speed, (I'm on blast) is pathetic. (cap hill area.) Impossible to stream much of anything... They just plain suck... I can not get sat service because of my direction or I would have dumped them last year.. I have just decided to dump them anyway, Their internet service is that bad. I will just do without cable TV and watch over the air. Their cable TV is grossly over priced btw.. Their internet service is really pathetic. Comcast / Xfinity is just about the absolute worst company I've dealt with in a long time. I was simply moving and trying to get service from Chicago to Denver but that transition has been a NIGHTMARE! I have talked to over 15 agents and called them more times than I can count because, apparently there are separate regions that they manage between the two cities. That would be all well and good except the IVR ALWAYS takes you to the non-Denver / Western region. The end result is that I am transferred a minimum of two times per call for these idiots to get me to the right place... and that is after I'm asked to verify my information in full at least twice per call. Today, I am happy to say that I am cancelling with them to go to Dish. I already signed up and am getting three times as many channels and, guess what? I spoke to someone that could handle ALL their regions. As a final joke, when I went to cancel my Comcast video I was yet again transferred from a very rude rep to the "Western Comcast" region, only to find that I got a closed message and to call back tomorrow LOL. I truly hate Comcast and you should too. They treat their customers like crap and after six years I am DONE with them. Absolute worst customer service in the business.
