I been a loyal customer of Xevichez for a long time since the opening in Sylmar Xevichez has been one of my favorite sushi restaurants and it was literally down the street from my house when I lived in Sylmar so I would go there every Friday, my family would always come down from Palmdale to go eat some sushi, but yesterday 9/17/2023 that changed since my family lives up in Palmdale we decided to go get some sushi to Xevichez on 422 W Rancho Vista, really nice place & the receptionist were nice and everything but our waiter LEONEL was BAD he was nice and all but he pretty much kept FORGETTING our items that we had ordered, we kept reminding him like 2-3 times for things that we needed for our table like utensils & other things, my uncle ordered a michelada with modelo and they brought him a michelada with Michelob ultra, we orders a crunch roll that he forgot to put in the order for and took about 45 min they brought it after we were done and ready to leave, they also charged me for garlic edamame when we had ordered plain edamame the charge was about $15 dollars my uncle was really disappointed and he said he might not be returning to Xexichez, it's really sad that for some mistakes my fam won't recommend this place or be coming back to eat here again, I think this should be addressed as a general notice to all servers so that future issues can be prevented & you guys won't get complaints and angry customers. As for me I think I'm goin to reconsider on going back. -Food is great but I think it's overpriced -Server not that good -Ambient is amazing read more

This place is not kid friendly at all. We arrived at 7:30pm on a Friday and it was 9:00pm we were still waiting to be seated. Hosted kept telling me I was next in the list but other parties that didn't have kids were being prioritized. Food is really good. I'm giving 3 stars because we went to get takeout on Valentine's Day and I hadn't noticed they charged me for rolls we didn't get. We luckily still had the receipt far down in my bag. It was our first time there. So we thought that was the typical price. We recently went again for takeout and we notice we ordered very similar items and we paid a lot less so I went searching for my old receipt that's when I noticed I was charged for 6 rolls we had only received 4 and a bowel. read more

I wouldn't mind the overpriced food, if it was actually good. I ordered out since they just opened and the food lacks a lot flavor. I ordered the Ramen and it just taste like boiled noodles. The steak roll was huge chuncks of steaks wrapped into rice. That's it. The place is new so the ambience is nice and lively. First time trying this Sushi restaurant and it did not disappoint! Our appetizer was the Dynamite Shrimp which was very delicious and flavorful, I almost had to snatch my friends away to eat more! I ordered the Shrimp Tempura Roll and the Baked Salmon Roll. Both were seasoned extremely well and presentation was beautiful. What I also enjoyed was the Reggaeton music and the many big screen TVs surrounding the restaurant. WARNING- you may dance alittle in your seat while eating! The place gave modern Vegas vibes lol. This restaurant would be a great place for a date night or if you want to go out and hang with the girls! The manager Mena was very attentive and made sure that we were very satisfied with the food. She had a great up beat spirit which is almost hard to find in most establishments now and days. Overall with HER service, the vibes, and food, I give this place a 10 but there's only 5 stars! Oh hell no. There is literally a hostess to seat you and that's it. You wait and wait and wait and wait. You continue to look at the menu with no prices. You have questions. You are thirsty and hungry. No one comes over. At least 20 minutes there with not even water, We look at the people next to us. And they said they have been there 2 hours and had 2 rolls. Who knew Latino and Japanese fusion could make such a great combination. Seating was readily available this thanksgiving eve and waiter/waitress service were average or what one would expect from a 3-5 star restaurant. I was disappointed as soon as I looked at the menu because I wanted Ceviche as the name of the restaurant hinted at, but only two Ceviche options were listed. I decided not to get the ceviche as my waitress warned me that the seafood would be more on the raw side, in the style that it was typically prepared. Unsure if I should take a chance, I opted for the steak aguachiles, the closest substitute to the ceviche. My companion ordered one plate of 3 tacos from their selection. The tacos arrived for my companion about 10-15 minutes before my aguachiles arrived. Needless to say, it made for an awkward waiting period as she wanted to eat but not be disrespectful toward me sitting there with nothing in front of me. My companion slow finished, eating 1 of her 3 tacos before my plate arrived. This error on the part of the restaurant contributed to the lower rating. Both food items were very delicious, until I received the bill. The 3 tacos will set you back about $19. They do not come with anything else. The steak aguachiles was $30. It also does not come with anything else. The food was good but not at that price point. I didn't know how much it was going to cost because the menu conveniently omitted the prices, a common theme among 4 star and 5 star restaurants. While this restaurant has appeal, looks immaculate inside and has great ambiance, the location, service and quality of the food screamed high 3 star, maybe low 4 star on its best day. The food is good but one could easily find food just as good, if not better, from some of the local food trucks and lesser priced restaurants in the area. I will give this one more try on another day as I would like to try the sushi before I decide if this is going to be a restaurant to avoid. My companion was still hungry after finishing her 2 tacos (I ate the 3rd taco and shared my plate with her), so I ordered another 3 tacos to go (before I knew what the prices were). My total bill, 2 food plates (steak aguachiles plate and 3 tacos plate), 3 tacos plate to-go, 2 waters, and a soda, was $78 after tax and before tip. TLDR: Nicely furnished, unorganized staff, bland food, overpriced, no prices on menu. A friend suggested we try this place so I was looking forward to my experience. We went on Sunday afternoon around 2-3 pm. It wasn't busy at all when we showed up. I was greeted by host asking for the number in my party. There were only 3 in my party and no one else waiting so I thought it was weird the host asked for my name and number, especially considering we were sat right away. Right off the bat, I was very apprehensive about the business because there are no prices on the menu at all. I thought that was kind of shady because it would be very easy to rack up a hefty bill and or to overcharge us. Nevertheless, we asked for a menu with prices to avoid any misunderstanding. It took a while before a server arrive and that may be because she was the only server, considering it wasn't busy at all at the time. Her disposition and attitude weren't bad but it wasn't great either. We never got her name or a welcome, or a how are we doing. I mentioned it was our first time there to which she didn't really have anything to say or bother making any recommendations. We asked for the price menu and some drinks. A few minutes later, she comes back asking if we were ready to place our order but we respond with asking for the price menu again. It's starting to get busier and more staff begin to show up. The server comes back with the price menu and we order another round of beers and some edamame and crispy rice with spicy tuna while we continue looking at the menu. A few minutes go by and a random new server comes to ask if we need to order anything and we respond with we're still waiting for our drinks and appetizers, which had already taken a while. He said he'd check on it and seemed to have a sense of urgency. We finally get our second round of beer and edamame, but still no crispy rice. The same guy comes back later and asks if we got our crispy rice to which I say no. Our original server comes back and we order our rolls and entre and I ask about the crispy rice which she said she will check on. The entre (which was fried ramen) arrived before the crispy rice and the suishi rolls. Our friend politely waited for the rest of the food to arrive. I don't understand why single plates our brought out to parties with more than 2 people. Isn't it in our culture to be polite and wait for everyone else to get their food. So I don't get why restaurants wouldn't be conscious of that. Anyway, the other random guy server finally brings the crispy rice and says that usually takes longer but he didn't say why. And if that were the case, why didn't our original server mention that to us. I don't waiting longer, especially for fresh food but I was so disappointed. Crispy rice and spicy tuna is my favorite thing to get wherever it's served so I think I can compare it to good ones and bad ones. The rice was not freshly fried. It had a chewy and gummy texture. When I've had great crispy rice, well if it's fresh it is warm or hot, which is my favorite thing to pair with the cold and spicy tuna. The rice is crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. But this was pretty stale. The tuna had no flavor. Most of the flavor came from the sauce they doused over it. Our original server comes back to ask how everything was tasting and our impression about it being our first time. I wasn't sure whether to be polite or honest. I decided to be honest because I believe successful businesses want/ need honest feedback. I mentioned how long it took for the crispy rice and how I wouldn't mind waiting for a fresh product but how it tasted stale. She pretty much interrupted me to defend the product by giving her testimony over how she has witnessed the cooks preparing it fresh which would not really explain why it took so long based on what she said. She then began to criticize other restaurants in the area to glorify her employer, which shows how loyal she is to her employer but not really ethical. A product should speak for itself and you shouldn't need to put others down to make your product seem better. Our sushi rolls finally came out and they were underwhelming, too. No flavor, too much imitation crab. My friend described her fried ramen as it tasting like sopa de vaso (maruchan, instant ramen) and not in a good way. I really wanted to like this place because it was recommended to us and it's a new business in the AV, but I was actually very disappointed by the food, the unorganized staff and the lack of ownership towards honest feedback. So, hopefully this feedback is constructive and effective. But, I probably will not be dining there again unless these issues are addressed and changes are made. read more

Xevichez is not your traditional sushi Family restaurant, it is more of a bar and not suited for children. It's extremely loud and has very inappropriate music videos on all the tv screens, food was good, service was good, just not a family type of place. I wouldn't recommend this place if you're looking to take your family. Didn't expect that type of environment for an early dinner at 4:30pm, maybe after 9pm. read more

First timer yesterday. First of all, they did wonders with this place, it's modern, clean, spacious and has an attractive bar. However, the fancy menus don't have prices, which is annoying, they do have an incomplete second laminated menu with prices, but you have to ask. I had 2 happy hour appetizers to start things off. The shrimp tempura was good, but the calamari was store bought stuff, not good. For our entrée my wife had a lobster roll, I has a teriyaki bowl. They were both good, however, as mentioned in other reviews, the dishes are overpriced for the portions. I don't mind paying $17-20 per dish, but give me my money's worth. So, all n all, we paid $60 for our meal, but we didn't get $60 worth of food, so we won't be returning. The food for the most part was fine, but the portions do not measure up to the pricing. read more

This place needs more time to get ready. Nice restaurant very very loud. The food that I did get was good. We got our dinner before our appetizers. Thing was the appetizer was my dinner. We ordered two and got my husband's but not mine so after 40 minutes I canceled mine and just left. I never got my dinner. I'll first say that the food was good. i personally really enjoyed it and would've loved to come back. However, I went in during happy hour and was expecting happy hour prices, and was served the full menu plates and wasn't charged for the happy hour prices. At the moment i wasn't aware that the plates weren't meant for happy hour since it was my first time. When i brought up the issue, the workers said "sorry we thought you wanted the full menu plates since everyone here comes with a large party" my party was only 2 people, makes no sense. They didn't bother to lower the bill a bit or anything for the confusion. I would just watch out for the waiters, I felt like I was scammed and I wouldn't go back. They need to add their prices to their menus too, so be cautious on the bill if you decide to give them a try. read more

We have been waiting for this place to open its doors since they announced it was coming to Palmdale. Their food is not the same as the Xeviches in the valley. We have gone twice and both times we were disappointed. I hate spending lots of money on bad sushi. It's not worth it. The atmosphere is not for families, they play music videos on their TV's and are very explicit videos. Definitely not a family restaurant. The food was okay but my group didn't have a great experience due to a long wait and poor service. We were seated quickly, but they only had QR menus and their WiFi was so weak only one person's phone was able to connect. The website loaded so slowly it took my party of 5 more than 30 minutes to go through not even the whole menu and order. The music was so loud it was hard to talk to my group and the waitress. After we finally got our food we had already waited more than an hour.. but they forgot one person's order. The sushi tasted alright but the rolls were small for the price, especially compared to other restaurants. I understand you guys open three days ago, but come on...for having your fourth restaurant you should've had your cooks from the valley come up or Santa Carita to help open up the restaurant do you really have all new sushi chefs I have no experience in a sushi restaurant.
