Cheese enchiladas with chili sauce Cheese enchiladas wills cheese sauce

NEVER AGAIN WORST EVER My spouse and I came here because our normal restaurant was super packed. We thought we would give it a try. We seen the reviews and they seemed ok. We came in and someone from the back yelled to choose a seat(a customer had to tell us because we didn't hear her). We sat down and waited about 15 minutes before a waitress came up to get our drink order. Another 5 min and she come back with drinks and chips . So about a 20 minute wait for drinks and chips. They were NOT BUSY. Then we finally got to order our food about 10 minutes later. We waited day 20 more minutes to get our food we order enchiladas. Another dissatisfaction when we got our food our drinks were empty and the waitress sets down are food then asks us if we want something to drink. SHE WAS EXTREMELY RUDE didn't need her dirty looks when asking her a question. I would think she might have automatically assumed we would need more tea to go with our food. She asked if we needed anything else I asked for a small guacamole she immediately coped an attitude and turned to go get it brought it back and with a look on her face set it at the end of our table and walked away. The Food Was nothing to rave about l. Very Bland flavor though it was hot at least. Had it not been for my wonderful spouse trying to get me some food after a long day at work I would have walked out before we ever got to order our food. Needless to say We ate the food anyways. While we were eating we seen zero staff anywhere they were in the back I am assuming. My better half asked me if I seen a restroom. I looked around to find nothing he got up to look himself and couldn't find one. There wasn't even any staff to ask. Honestly I will NEVER GO BACK. The temperature of the restaurant was warm not cool and it is the middle of the summer, I personally don't like eating hot food in warm temperatures but again I did for my better half. I would not have even given it 1 star but I guess you have too. The best part was the food looked good on the plate wish it would have tasted better than it did. *staff 1/2 star because someone was there * wait staff ZERO - unfriendly, Inattentive, attitude-problem * place seemed ran down * restaurant temperature WARM for it being summer (they had a small fan hooked up point at the booths. * food 1 STAR because it looked pretty (if that is what matters when you are hungry Salsa was good chips are good

Me and my husband went to a different restaurant last night. The staff was super friendly and very knowledgeable. The chips and salsa taste homemade, which was a big plus with my husband. We tried the appetizer of chorizo queso, and it was messy but delicious. My husband got one of his favorites which is the Chile Relleno. He said it was very good. I tried the pork guiso with tomatillo. It was different than what I was expecting but the pork was still very tender and good. We will definitely give this place another try as we truly enjoyed our experience

    caldo de res

Caldo was delicious and the rice was very good. I also got cheese enchiladas they were good too. The chips and salsa tho i didn't really like the salsa it's not spicy but very good restaurant would recommend this place over the other mexican restaurant in terrell lol

Food: Chicken fried steak/ Grilled pork chop there were no complaints. Good portions for the cost and definitely seemed fresh. Even the sides were delicious and fresh tasting. The ONLY downside is parking. I didn't subtract stars for it because there is still enough room to get around. But definitely use cation with bigger vehicles and especially trailers.

And whenever we take a drive like that, we make it our mission to find a highly rated local lunch spot. This one was on the way home and looked promising, so in we went. I will say this for Texas. Onion rings are everywhere here, far more than when I lived in California. I will happily take that as a win, because the heat for about nine months of the year is not my jam. Sadly, the onion rings were not listed as one of the many sides (so we couldn't get them as a side with our meal), but we ordered them as an appetizer ($8.99 I think) with blue cheese dressing. I am not a ranch girlie, and I stand by that choice. The blue cheese had huge chunks in it, which makes me think it might be house made (bonus point!). Now, the rings. I am firmly Team "Battered" Onion Ring over Team "Breaded", and these absolutely delivered on the team battered. They were almost chicken-fried, -- super craggly, crispy, and deeply satisfying. These were the star of the meal, so do yourself a favor and order them - but you need a friend to share them with, its a heavy portion. They also have great lunch specials, most around eleven dollars. I got the pot roast with two sides, refried beans and mashed potatoes with gravy. After indulging in the onion rings, I was not exactly starving, so I ended up with enough leftovers for another full meal. The pot roast was nicely shredded and tender, and the gravy was rich, flavorful, and worth every calorie. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak, (he's obviously on a diet!), with fried okra and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was forgettable, but everything else on his plate was solid. Service was friendly and efficient, and this place definitely fills up at lunch, so plan accordingly. A very good roadside stop, and proof that sometimes the best meals happen when you are just out running errands.

The food is priced well, made fast, and you are given a very generous portion. It is family owned and ran so the service is very personable. They care about what you want and what they're serving. I checked Google Maps for a…read morelocal small Mexican or Tex-Mex shop to try and saw "Cowboys Taqueria" was 4.2 Stars, the highest in Terrell. I am here to throw down the ONE STAR Ace of Spades! Plus another ONE STAR, for a DOUBLE ONE STAR Rating. Yep, you earned it! The Caldo de Res is not that good, and the serving size is smaller than Arboledas of Rockwall, for the same price? The potatos were green, and one chunk of cabbage was old. The beef was low quality cut with hard grissle. So, I ordered a TORTA CUBANA from the menu. I asked the young lady waitress if they put Carne Milanesa in it, she said yes they do. What came out was a bad joke. The "milanesa" was old meat just put in microwave. Was like a thin leather. I took out the 7 small pieces, to make sure it was not just one bad piece...all were the same. I showed the young waitress...she just looked like Oh Well... I asked for the owner, she said they don't live here, and hardly come. Old meat like this is illegal to serve to humans. La carne pasada hace dano a los clientes! I paid the bill, and keep the receipt. I came here after reading Google Maps Reviews 4.2 's. I eat a lot of places, in USA, outside USA. 4.2 Star rating and such bad quality? The french fries that came with the torta cubana were actually very good. So, I was driving away, next block I saw two cats in front of a thrift store. I threw the milanesa to the cats, not even the cats would eat the Cowboy milanesa!

Apparently I accidentally requested the "garden fresh surprise" edition because it showed up packed with lettuce and tomatoes. No big deal, mistakes happen. I politely let the server know, expecting the standard "Oops, we'll fix that." Instead, I got hit with the customer service equivalent of a UFC uppercut: "Yeah, that's what you said." After explaining again that I specifically said ONLY, I was then informed they'd have to charge me for an entirely new burrito if they corrected it. Over lettuce and tomato. Not because I ate the whole thing. Not because I changed my mind halfway through. Simply because their version of quality control is apparently "good luck everybody." The best part? Rather than fixing the burrito, offering literally any solution, or attempting basic conflict resolution, they just let me walk out. Imagine losing a customer over shredded lettuce. That's commitment to the principle. I didn't even get to try the actual food, although based on the chips and salsa, I'm not sure I missed a life-changing culinary experience. To be fair, I wasn't rude, I wasn't demanding, and I fully understand mistakes happen in restaurants. But if your first response to a simple correction is "pay for another one," then maybe the problem isn't the burrito. Mariachi taught me an important lesson today: apparently "only" is just a suggestion. Do Better
