Great service. Great atmosphere. The food was delicious. Came here for the Sunday brunch worth every penny. Definitely coming back. Mariachi was on point.

I have not tasted a ceviche with right amount of shrimp, acidity, tenderness on scallop with the usual suspects. I could easily indulge myself to a full bowl of it. Great hospitality when they tending my friend's private party. I know who to call for catering when I have private party.

Been here 3 times. We enjoyed the food each time. However, we noticed being charged different prices each time for the same item we ordered previously. Can't find the 3 rd Receipt but uploaded two just to show proof.

The math doesn't add up, charged 4 exra per plate on my package, and told me he was feeding 75 people not the 100 I purchased.

The place has a perfect outside garden oasis, beautiful! I walked in to inquire about the events held there in June 2021 when restrictions had lifted. I was greeted by Rigo and he took me on a tour, he told me about a Rancho in Santa Clarita they owned and how Beautiful it was. I let him know I wanted my event in town, so we made a date to come back and test the food. While I walked the outside the place was a mess and unfortunately neglected but given it was shut down I guess it's to be expected... you decide. I saw the potential it had and wanted to give this place a chance so I came back to try the food the following week. At this appointment there was other families who were also interested I presume, and he did his best to attend us all. He kept saying he had no help and he was alone so we sat patiently. The food was so tasty and well made. I was impressed! So that day I decided I was going to book my event. I went through the menu and right away, he was trying to sell me the more expensive packages but said he could not serve my guest because again he had no staff. I opted for a moderate food selection and asked what drinks would be served. I was surprised No drinks were included on a $6000 bill. He said it was a 500 ticket minimum if I wanted drinks, mind you I only booked for 100 guest max. He insisted I get drink packages it would be $5. I realized he was talking about the alcohol so I asked if I can let him know at a later date as it was covid and we didn't know who would come and if we'd shut down. He agreed. We spoke about a guest list of 75-100 people because it was after all a pandemic. I went and visited with several vendors and each time he acted like i was a nuisance, always annoyed about something. At this point we are seeing that the outside is still neglected, several items missing or broken, rusted and dirty. We asked if the place would be cleaned, the fountain, the chandelier, cut the grass, trim the gazebo, replace the broken lights hanging above, and most definitely fix the columns falling over that held the lights. It's been a few weeks since they opened and we talked and nothing was done. Each time I needed him he was busy and a complained about everything. He made me want to cancel my event. I can't believe he is the representative for such a beautiful place. I can go on and on but I end with him scamming me out of 300 dollars, telling me I would have to buy pizzas to feed my guest. I went in one week prior to my event and the place looked the same! He declined me the $5 drinks, took $300 and never documented it for fountain drinks, and then STILL CHARGED my GUESTS! He's a scammer and a lier avoid doing business here. He took 700 for tip also! He has nothing but family there which usually is great for a family owned business but they sat and trashed talked us the entire night! My family and friends herd this guy and his staff being so rude and up charging us. Scamming everyone. I was so embarrassed, and disappointed.

Besides the place looking like you just walked into a bar in a third world country, the waitress actually apologized to us for not being able to bring us oysters because they had gone bad. We then ordered a burrito that was ok but spent the whole time getting into a bar brawl with the 4 flies that insisted on attacking us the whole time we were here. Don't waste your money.

From the adorable decorations to the delicious homemade-style beans, something about this place reminded me of my grandmother and instantly brought me so much joy. I ordered a mix of cheese and chicken enchiladas, and WOW the chicken was cooked perfectly and everything was delicious! My friend ordered the chilaquiles with verde sauce and asada. The meat was great, although personally I wish the verde sauce had a little more spice. She also ordered the Café de Olla and let me try it... SOOOO GOOD!!! I already know I'm ordering my own next time! I also had the chance to meet the owner, and he was incredibly attentive to both his customers and employees, which I loved seeing. Overall, XOCHIPILLI is such a cute little hidden nook with delicious food, great drinks, welcoming service, and affordable prices. I seriously can't wait to go back just writing this review has my mouth watering!

She had a nasty attitude and no smiles at all. I asked if they sold sopes I asked where on the meñu was it? So I can look at my options. The server told me it wasn't on the Meñu. In my head I'm like "how do you not have it on the meñu but yet sell it ?" I didn't make it a big deal but for some reason she seemed annoyed. I also asked one of the other servers if they can bring a lemonade for my daughter, she had said yes she can do that. But.. We got our food 35 mins later (keep in mind it was one plate) we were waiting on. & we still hadn't gotten our lemonade I had asked for. The cook brought us our plate & he was nice and asked if we needed anything else. I said " I asked one of the servers for a lemonade and it still hasn't been brought." & he mentioned he would let them know. Then the server comes back with an attitude and places it on the table, not even a word said. I even thanked her multiple times and nothing was said, no "you're welcome" or anything. She never even checked up on us or asked if we needed anything else. If you can't handle being a server why even work as one? Simple as that. This is what ruins a restaurant's reputation and makes people not want to go back. No tip was deserved.

The decor and ambiance make it a great place for celebrating a special occasion. I made reservations for my birthday dinner with a party of eight. I brought my own cake, and the staff was kind enough to store it in their refrigerator until we were ready for dessert, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the service was where the experience fell apart. Since gratuity is automatically added for larger parties, it felt like there was very little sense of urgency or attentiveness throughout the evening. It took quite a while for our drink orders to be taken and served. Our food also came out at different times, with some side dishes arriving well after the entrées had already been served. The only explanation we received came later when a supervisor personally brought out the missing sides and apologized, explaining there had been a delay because they had to prepare a fresh batch of rice. While I appreciated the communication, it would have been helpful if someone had updated us sooner. During the meal, our server was changed, and we hoped the service would improve, but unfortunately, the experience remained the same. The food and drinks were beautifully presented, but the flavors didn't quite live up to how impressive everything looked. My rating is based primarily on the food, but if I were rating the service alone, it would be one star. Considering it was a Sunday and the restaurant wasn't particularly busy, the slow service was especially disappointing. Sadly, this wasn't the birthday dinner experience I was hoping for, and I don't plan on returning.

End of the day, a $68 bill pre-tip for a less than genrous plate of ($16??) guac and 4 very small tacos with no rice or beans included and one draft Modelo is just unacceptable. The tacos were adequate, but unspectacular. 'Filet mignon' tacos were a single unchopped hunk of meat well flavored but so bare and small for 2x $22. The guac was too refrigerated, with not fully ripened avocado that resulted in an overly sweet taste and slightly firm texture that was unpleasant. Chips were also just not very good, and also not as far as I could tell complimentary. Service gets high marks for speed and efficiency, but felt super impersonal. Example, a server asked us how everything was while we were clearly just sitting there, not having tasted any of it waiting for some limes to arrive at the table. Just asked the question without surveying at all, and it was very performative and not genuine. Which is fine. I'm not at all mad at the servers, tough job but worth noting when noting the tip % options on the POS. End of the day I don't know if I'll be back or not. Everybody has an off day. But just about every aspect was less than stellar(draft beer was excellent) especially compared to three previous excellent visits. It's getting harder to justify going out for dinner, and at these prices, I would hope they could do a little better.

The venue itself has a warm, lively, & welcoming character, making it a wonderful place to relax, enjoy a meal, and spend time with friends or family. The atmosphere reflects the restaurant's genuine pride in its food and hospitality. As always I started with their chips & salsa. The chips are served warm accompanied by a decent flavorful salsa, (secret note: if you like a real hot salsa ask for the Habanero salsa) The Margaritas are delicious, not too strong but just right ! And they offer plenty of Tequilas to choose from- so I'm sure they have your favorite. On this visit I ordered my usual Casamigos Margarita- Sooo Good ! I then ordered up a few meals to go: First order was a two cheese enchilada combo with double beans (the beans are super tasty, can't get enough of that creamy velvety taste) Second order was the Carne Asada plater, also with double beans (of course) ;-) both are standouts - super authentic Mexican Food flavors. Basically every dish I have tasted at Micheladas Grill have been full of authentic flavor & super delicious. No doubt why it's such a popular neighborhood spot. Owner Alejandro and Bartender Kristina provide exceptional hospitality and make every guest feel truly welcome. Their kindness, attentiveness, and genuine warmth create a personal touch that makes each visit memorable. They go beyond simply providing "Great"service--they make you feel like part of the family. The first bite gives you that textbook contrast chefs chase: a thin, savory Maillard snap, then cool, silky flesh that still tastes of the sea rather than smoke, which tells me it was hit hard over heat to render the skin and pulled off at the precise moment before the proteins tightened. Grilled lemon halves, their edges caramelized, are doing real work here--squeezes of that charred citrus cut through the fish's natural oiliness--while the thin ribbons of pickled red onion and peppery microgreens supply the bright, acidic punctuation that keeps the palate moving. Slices of avocado act as a soft, creamy foil, lengthening the finish without smothering the fish, and the halved cherry‑tomato salad looks lightly dressed so you get clean sweetness and a crisp counterpoint rather than a soggy, overdressed side. From a technical standpoint I appreciate the fundamentals: even scoring or oiling of the skin to prevent sticking, careful timing so the flakes separate cleanly, and a sparing hand with seasoning so the brine of the fish isn't lost under salt or heavy sauces. Many places feel compelled to gild seafood with every trendy condiment; here, the restraint is refreshing and, frankly, rarer than it should be. Service matched the cooking: friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to steer us through the menu with solid recommendations, which matters when a kitchen is doing delicious things well. The restaurant itself is calm and clean, a peaceful setting with a bar that lets the food speak, and last time I was there they were in the process of securing a beer and wine license--good news, because this kind of balanced, grill‑forward cooking benefits from a thoughtful pour. In short, this meal stands out because it trusts the ingredient: confident grilling, smart acid, and honest accompaniments that clarify rather than compete, leaving you satisfied and already thinking about the next visit. As for the house-made salsa: stainless ramekins on a white plate, each with its own tiny spoon - bright yellow emulsion, lacquered dark reduction, smoky-red chile purée, and a chunky herb relish. The emulsion is silky and tangy, perfect for cutting fat; the dark sauce is sticky, umami-forward and built to cling; the red one carries smoke on oil and is medium-hot; the relish snaps with fresh acid and crunch. Important heads-up: one of these is a ghost-pepper style salsa - extremely spicy, slow-building and long-lingering, so use it as a finish, not a dunk. Execution is tidy: no broken emulsion, measured viscosities, portioned so flavors don't bleed - practical, disciplined work. In an era of one-trick "house sauce" laziness, this quartet gives you tools, not excuses, and it elevates whatever's on the grill without stealing the show. I'll definitely be back here!
