The space they have created is so welcoming for beginners, and they foster an environment where anyone--no matter where they are in their fitness journey--can get the workout they are looking for. The instructors are attentive to everyone in class and are incredibly supportive. I would also like to show my appreciation for three instructors whose classes I generally take on a weekly basis. Claudia is one of my all-time favorite fitness instructors that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I have taken her Pilates reformer class, hybrid mat class, and TRX class. I consider her coaching the primary reason I was able to break through the fitness plateau I was experiencing before coming to the studio. She is extremely knowledgeable about the workouts and can create modifications on the spot to fit you and your fitness goals. I go Tina's Barre class, and what I appreciate about it is the structure, as well as how unique each session is. Her instruction style is very supportive, and she is beyond cognizant of everyone in the room. In every class, she checks in on each client to make sure they have good form. I never thought I would enjoy taking Barre, but I now consider myself a true Barre enthusiast. Audrey is another amazing instructor. I generally take her reformer class and Exo Chair class. Audrey's classes are so welcoming and engaging. Her workouts are challenging, but due to how she engages the class, time seems to fly by because we are all just having fun. As I stated at the beginning of this review, I have never advocated this much for a fitness studio, and I will continue to be a client for the foreseeable future and then some. Thank you, Jen, and the rest of the IMX Studio team!

I was a member for about 4-5 years, consistently going 3-5 times a week before my wedding and continuing all through my pregnancy. In fact, I was actually taking classes up until the day before I gave birth to my first child! Sadly, it's been quite a while since I've been back. Between moving and navigating life with a new baby, it became too difficult to make it to classes. I miss the studio and Jen so much. (Miss you Jen! And congrats on 10 years!) Jen is an amazing owner and I absolutely loved the instructors I trained with. While most of the instructors I've taken classes with have since moved on, Jen runs such a wonderful studio that I have no doubt the current team is just as fantastic. If you're on the fence, give them a try. It was soooo easy to get hooked!

Geraldine, who's also one of the pilates instructors at my pilates studio, was kind to explain the basics of the equipment and exercises. Never underestimate her workouts from her calming voice, because I was sweating a lot while my legs were hurting to the point I froze for a moment without a cramp. I understand why no man would ever set foot in this studio. They would cry. I kept going despite the pain, yet I feel stronger in the end. She was kind to guide and correct my form quietly. It was intense on the first try with pilates experience. This was more like a level 3 reformer. I would go back if I became stronger and leaner after six months of doing pilates consistently. The studio was nice and clean with a spacious cubby and a single-use restroom. Highly recommend wearing grip socks before you come to class. If you don't have one, you can purchase one from them at the front desk. Also, come 15 minutes early to find street parking easier.

I was most interested in their classes so I joined with the membership offering the most benefits. I thought I'd have a variety of classes to take. On their site they offer regular HIIT type classes availablein the morning and evening, a daily morning 50+ class, their famous bootie class, step, and kickboxing. Their gym is an open space with a couple treadmills, bike, elliptical, and rower. They have hand weights, free weights, and machines. They have lockers and an accessible bathroom. They are in a commercial park with ample private parking. It's all available to women only. I went in to check out the space. The coach at the front desk was super friendly and answered all of my questions. I was able to tour alone. I left, needing time to consider the $299/mo commitment, $75 annual fee, and $100 cancellation fee. I decided to go for it. I had trouble getting signed up on the app, but was able to get set up on the website. The fee was prorated. When I attempted to book my first class, I couldn't find it available. I thought it must not be available that day. It turns out the site is outdated and they don't have a morning class anymore. I kind of kicked myself in hindsight. But, really, should I have needed to think to ask if their site is current? I dropped in for my first (evening, boo) class and I had to complete a few forms. The class was great. I got my xxx handed to me and that's exactly what I wanted. The class was small, maybe 8 of us, and the coach was great at correcting posture and encouraging us to get at it. I was looking forward to day 2. Only to find that the class was canceled but no notice was given. At the front desk the response was 'you should have received an email'. I admit, I was questioning my decision because someone had reviewed about classes being canceled. I did not heed her warning. I also learned that while they say it's okay to drop in, they prefer booking because then the coach knows to show. I was told if at least one member books, a coach will show. If no one's booked, they may not show. I'm really not good a committing in advance because I never know how my day will play out. There is a no-show fee and I didn't want to get stuck. Day 3 I (still) dropped in and got in class. Day 4, I was dismayed to find that even after booking this time, the coach didn't show. Front desk directed me to get warmed up on a treadmill. I hopped on and gave it 10 minutes. I said good-bye at the front desk and she was still trying to get a hold of the coach who she said just lives around the corner. I returned the next day and canceled. Funny, the front desk wasn't so friendly that time, and reminded me of what I was being charged and snidely added that I agreed to the fee when I signed up. A TON of money wasted. It's probably the worst decision I've made all year. They do a great job promoting themselves on IG. I do appreciate their collaboration with other small businesses to promote their products and services. This is only the second time I've given a 1-star review. I always try to offer something constructive. In this case, I'm at a a loss.

My top three favorite classes were Vinyasa Flow with Katya, Hot HIIT Pilates with Carolyn, and Original Bikram with Lee. There is plenty of parking, lockers for valuables are available, public cubes are available to put stuff down in. At minimum, you will need to bring your own yoga mat, sweat towel, and water bottle. There are a variety of ways to sign up for classes - single class, memberships, and class packs that can be shared by 4+ people. While I think the staff and classes are great, the facilities could improve. The ventilation could improve, the floors are not wiped after every class, and there are no sanitizing sprays/wipes to clean the shared weights and blocks.

The online website was a bit outdated in my opinion and had to download the Mind Body app to book the class. The studio is located in the middle of Mega Mart and FedEx Shop, in the little "alleyway". Once you get to the door, there's a sign outside that says Yoga Journey Studios. The studio is located on the 2nd floor and you can take the stairs or elevator. Once you get to the 2nd floor, the studio is on the right side. I was greeted by the instructor and she checked me in a took a photo for the profile/account. Then she gave me a brief tour of the studio. There's a small couch area, some wooden cabinets to put your stuff away (no locks), and there's some smaller cabinets that can fix your wallet (with a code lock). For the women side, there are 3 shower stalls, 2 sinks, 2 benches, & wooden cabinets inside the shower area. The vinayasa flow yoga was amazing! The room was warm enough that I sweated a little bit. The instructor was clear and supportive. Please modify and listen to your body! They provided 2 blocks and a strap if you want to use it. In between the classes, the room was being cleaned which was nice. The restroom is located outside the studio, down the hallway on the left and there is a code to it. The only thing I would tell them to improve on is: 1) to provide more information in the email/app confirmation to tell people to bring towels (since you'll need to rent it there) - Ofcourse, I knew to bring a towel. And maybe let people know that if they didn't bring a mat, they can rent one. And maybe tell people to bring slippers incase they want to use it in the shower or to use walk around the lobby area. 2) provide a filter water fountain? I didn't see water anywhere. There's a free large parking lot outside of the studio connected to other stores/restaurants in the plaza. Other than that, if I lived closer, I would come back for another class.
