I've been going to this studio for a few years now. Before that I was dabbling with online workouts but never found anything that clicked. Bar Method has been one of the few forms of exercise I've genuinely enjoyed and stuck with long-term! The class options (both the types of classes and the times available) are great. The instructors are fantastic. They are fun, friendly, and encouraging without being over the top. They give great cues and help you focus on form. Since starting, I've noticed a difference in my strength and balance and have been pleasantly surprised to see that my posture has improved. I've also received compliments that I look toned and fit; I'd never been told that before! The vibe is welcoming and chill. If you're looking for an effective workout in a supportive space, I cannot recommend this studio enough! read more

It's been awhile and I'm still coming back. The community has grown and is still amazing. Some instructors have changed, but a lot have been here for a few years now. I'm at about 9 years now and just reached my 1,000 class this month. I feel like it says a lot to be able to stay at a fitness place for this long and still love it. One thing I will say is that since my last review I did have major surgery and had to pause my workouts, but during recovery, I noticed how much going to barre had helped me. Having no upper body movement would've been tougher if it wasn't for my strength I gained from The Bar Method. read more

The Bar Method was a fantastic experience and great workout! The instructor was great, it was a packed class filled with very friendly and helpful folks who created an atmosphere of support and encouragement. The ambiance is great here, my only complaint is the grip socks cost $26 and the rubberized part started flaking off after only a couple washes and air drying! I believe they do require socks but they don't necessarily need to be grippy. read more

My mom has been a regular client for years, and convinced me to join BMF! I've been going to Bar Method for a little over a year, wanting to try something new to add to my fitness journey. I started with weekly Bar Flow Express with Ainsley, loving the sequences and flows between barre and yoga! I looked out for class packs and sales, they often release deals throughout the year. Eventually, I tried out regular Bar Method, Bar Strength, and Restore classes adding more variety to my repertoire! Towards the beginning of 2026, I decided to commit to unlimited, seeing how much I fell in love with barre. BMF is a beautiful studio with a wonderful, supportive community. Every instructor is committed to providing an amazing workout, are incredibly motivating, and will occasionally help fix your form to make the most of your workout. I love how intentional the classes are, incorporating stretching periods for your body. I also enjoy how challenging each movement becomes, to the point where you can push towards experiencing the shakes! I love coming out feeling more aligned and stronger after each class. read more

I am at over 200 classes and I have never felt or looked better. I feel so strong and lean and have definitely seen positive changes in both my physical body and mind. I come every day, sometimes multiple times a day as it has become my happy place. I have the unlimited membership which is definitely worth it. The community is really wonderful from the front desk staff to the instructors to the fellow barre babes (and boys lol.) There's even a book club along with other fun popups and events at the studio. They always have lots of fun merch including socks, stickers and other apparel and it feels like Christmas morning when the new drops arrive! Can I give 6 stars? :) read more

Love The Bar Method!! Before I started my workout journey, I did not know anything about barre. My friend told me to sign up with her as they were offering a new client special for $78 of unlimited classes for 2025. I was very interested in the classes because they offered 6am classes which was very convenient for my schedule. I started taking classes with Cassie! And she was very easy to follow. She provided corrections when needed and was very soft spoken which made it more welcoming to come back and work out every day. Barre is a low-impact workout which combines a bit of ballet, yoga, Pilates, and strength training. At the bar method they offer different style of classes that is good for a total body transformation. I like that they modify workouts for you if needed and it's perfect for working out if you are pregnant. Another instructor that I've taken that I've really enjoyed was Monette! I would take her classes in between my patients, usually around 9am, 10am, or 12pm. I love when she switches up the work out and when she uses sliders. She really gets us going using our 6-pack abs. She keeps the class fun and vibrant! Honestly, I feel like they really try and get to know you here and it's a great community of people working out. Barre is really a workout like no other, really transformative, without really breaking too much of a sweat. read more

I did a Class Pass trial and The Bar Method was one of the studios I decided to try. The location is convenient with a ton of parking out front. When I entered, I was welcomed, shown around, and the instructor gave me a heads up of what to expect. I did the cardio express and like how stretch and rest was incorporated in the workout. The atmosphere was also very upbeat and friendly so I felt comfortable trying out a new class. They also gave a note and chocolate at the end of my first class. I hope to return in a few months to try another class or even a membership. read more

I absolutely loved my experience at The Bar Method in Fremont. I went for a month -- every single day -- and it was easily my best fitness month. The workouts are challenging in the right way, the instructors bring great energy, and the overall environment feels positive and motivating. What really stands out is the availability of classes. There's a good range of time slots, so it's easy to build a routine and stay consistent -- which makes a huge difference in results. I only wish this location was closer to me, because I'd still be going regularly if it were. I also love that they have a book club -- such a fun and unexpected way to build community beyond the workouts. Hopefully I'll be back in the future. read more

Nearly 450 classes and four years in, and I'm still loving this workout. The instructors and the results are what keep me coming back. Beyond the physical and mental benefits, I've also built meaningful friendships in this amazing community. If you're on the fence about joining barre or trying a class, do yourself a favor and go for it, you won't regret it! read more

I've been taking barre classes here at the Bar Method Fremont since September 2024! Almost 2 years & 100+ classes later, I can definitely say I'm a fan! I love the schedule that BMF has (for the early birds 6am, midday break workout or the late evening 6:45pm sessions). There's a wide variety of classes available: traditional barre, strength, cardio, yoga flow, and restore. They also have weekend morning classes too! The instructors here are all so friendly and welcoming - regardless if it's your first class or 100th, they take the time to walk through to correct form and improve postures. I also love the fun different activities that they have throughout the year, from summer challenges to group competitions - all a friendly and creative way to boost the spirit in the studio. The owner Abbey is really nice and keeps the studio up to date through newsletters and IG posts. The studio itself is clean and tidy, with overall a welcoming environment to get a great workout in. Bonus: BMF is located in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking spots! read more

BMF has been a non-negotiable in my schedule! Even after 7 years with BMF, there are days when I still feel the workouts were challenging. The workouts keep me mindful of my posture, my body mechanics, and emphasizes the importance of stretching and doing strength training. A big thank you to the instructors who make BMF an amazing community! read more

This place is amazing and so is Tammy!! I had my first class here and let me tell you that it was a great experience from day one. All new students are given a warm welcome and tour of the facility. It is very adorable and cozy inside. There are lockers, hair supplies, lotions, etc to make sure you leave looking, smelling and feeling great. I've taken classes with several of the instructors and they are all different in personality but have the same objective. Very encouraging and motive you throughout the workout. The first session was tough but well worth it. They have very flexible schedules with 30 min, 45 or 60 minute classes that vary in cardio, strength, stretching or combo but all include The Bar. My favorite is cardio because it's intensity. You have to wear grip socks for each class but everything else is provided. This place is better than the gym! Recommend 1000% read more

where do i start?? i started taking classes august 2023 when i was about 6 months postpartum. after giving birth, my body went through a lot. had to go on blood pressure medication, limbs felt like jello, struggled walking up the stairs... all while also taking care of a new baby my main fitness goal was to just be healthier and strong enough to grow with my daughter. after 3 years of taking classes at least 3-4x a week, i'm not just off the medication (woohoo ) but my body is the most TONED and FLEXIBLE it's ever been! lol and the community here is EVERYTHING this is such a safe, welcoming place with people of all ages and bodies of all sizes. so many modification options! and the instructors are so well educated and trained, even in the way they learn everyone's names! lol barre is such a great full body workout & bar method fremont is the best place to do it! ‍ read more

Having moved to Fremont since 2022, I've been wanting to find a good place that has classes to encourage myself to build a routine for being active/toning my body/working out. After searching on Yelp and seeing the good reviews, I decided to try The Bar Method after purchasing their Buy 1 Class Get 1 Week Unlimited Free for $35. The first class I decided to try was Bar Flow Express, as I wanted to start slow and was intrigued by the flexing/stretching elements in this class. On Sunday, I arrived at Bar Method, and was greeted at the front desk immediately. She knew it was my first time and gave me a quick tour of the place, some tips, and then I was ready for the class. Right on time, the instructor Ainsley started class. I didn't get to talk to her before it started but she was made aware by the front desk that I was new, and was very welcoming. Right from the start the warmups are a little fast, but Ainsley did not rush everyone and instead continued to encourage everyone to do the sets at their own pace, and gave adjustment recommendations as well. Later we transitioned to using the bar, then other equipment such as sliders & balls, then lastly stretching - and then 45 minutes went by like that! I'm prone to overheating easily during workouts where I have to excuse myself and leave the room to cool down - but that didn't happen to me during this class. At one point my heart rate was pretty high and I felt pretty warm, but again the instructors give space for you to slow down at your own pace, with nothing but encouraging words to say about people in the class. Overall, I really enjoyed the class. As soon as I can get over my couch potato again, haha, I plan on purchasing more classes and trying other ones they offer. read more

Joining The Bar Method three months ago was one of the best decisions I've made. My niece Jasmyn encouraged me to give it a try, and after just one class, I was hooked. The energy in the room -- especially with Abbey, the owner -- is so welcoming. The variety of classes truly supports all fitness levels, but what stands out most is the encouragement and sense of community. Karen, the office manager, is incredible -- she keeps everything running smoothly and always greets you with a smile. Every time you walk into the studio, you immediately know it's going to be a good day. I also love the themed events they host -- they make working out even more fun and bring everyone together. I'm so glad I took the leap to join. read more

Cute, clean studio that offers a variety of barre classes. Sometimes I had a bit of difficulty in following along because the instructor didn't always demonstrate the movement, but was able to catch on by watching others. Overall would recommend checking this place out - I always leave feeling accomplished! read more

I found this studio through Classpass. My usual workouts are Orangetheory or Corepower. This was my first time taking a barre class and I have to say it is one of the most difficult classes I have ever taken lol. I really didn't know what to expect other than there would be work with a ballet bar. I would say that the class is doable for a beginner, but brutal. It consists of high rep and very small movements that burn your whole body. It was difficult to follow along because the instructor doesn't demonstrate the movements. Although, I was able to follow along by watching my peers. I think my personal preference for a workout is more high impact vs low impact. However, I enjoyed my experience and would recommend to someone looking to switch up their workout routine. Facilities were very clean and staff was very pleasant. read more

-Visited back in November- I signed up for the new client special--3 classes for $50. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by Abbey and the team. Now during COVID times, you verbally answer the questionnaire and get your temperature taken. Grab weights + a sweat towel on your way in and find your own personal workout space where you have a strap, towel, and risers. They have reduced in-person class sizes down to 9 people. Nice lounge area in the back. Check out their pop-up plant shop called Soil + Water. Who can say no to endorphins and plants? After class, they gave me a handwritten card w/ a chocolate and extended my class pack. This is the most friendly Bar Method studio I've been to! Wish I lived closer. Tip: don't forget grippy socks or they have some for sale. They're currently offering virtual classes so you can shake from home. Support your local fitness studio! read more
