This review is long overdue. Thunder Fitness has been a godsend for me and my husband. Price is VERY affordable for a small-business family-owned gym and they're very transparent with fees, check their website for details. You won't run out of equipment or weights as a novice, intermediate, or advanced lifter. Busy hours (5-7pm on weekdays) are a fraction of what you'd find at a commercial gym and you can guarantee that you'll be able to use whatever rack, machine, or free weights you need within 15 min. Most of all, we've found a great community at Thunder to help keep us accountable. The people here are all on different walks of their health journey, but they're humble, hard-working, and determined to prioritize their fitness and longevity. Check it out :)

Just learning posture alone goes a long way and teaching self-respect.

My kids have been attending the jujitsu class for a few months now and they love it. Crazy thing is they were hesitant to join at first but after the first week they were excited to get to the next class. Mauricio is awesome . He's not just great at the teaching jujitsu techniques but also build characters out of the young students. They learn respect for others and self respect which is missing in the world today. I Totally recommend you give it a try.

Worst times to go (I assume it's like typical gym busy 5pm-730ish)? Like is it ever too crowded for getting a lift at the gym(not classes)?

To be honest, I’ve never seen it too crowded to work out. I’ve tried to observe trends and even at when one would think is a peak time, it hasn’t looked that way. Even though some equipment is kind of concentrated in one area, there’s also two long… Read more

It's more like personal training at scale than your average bootcamp class. There is a general circuit the whole class does, but everyone is assigned a different part of the circuit - so you can go at your own pace, and there's no competitiveness like CrossFit gyms. Fawad (the gym owner) tailors your workout to your abilities. I'm not sure how he manages to keep track of everyone's dumbbell weights and fitness capabilities, but he does! He also watches everyone closely to make sure your form is correct for injury prevention. Fawad is a great trainer, he is very personable and really knows his stuff. He knows when to push and when to tell you to slow down. The gym is not huge, so you do need to reserve classes in advance. However, there are plenty of class times and I've never had a problem booking any classes a week out. There's also plenty of parking. Pricing is comparable to other fitness classes in the area, and it's totally worth it.

Note that this is not like CrossFit so don't expect powerlifting. You will see changes if you are consistent here which needs to be over a month imo! Pricing ranges anywhere from $220 to 260 a month!

Instead of giving me any kind of clear pricing range, they dodged the question and implied that if I was concerned about price, I wasn't a good fit for their gym. The tone came off dismissive and unwelcoming, and it really made me feel like my time didn't matter. If you're considering this gym, just be aware they may not give straightforward answers up front. I had no background in CrossFit or weightlifting and felt completely new to it all, but they explained the basics clearly, kept things motivating, and often stepped in to correct form so we built the right foundation. That gave me confidence and made the classes something I looked forward to instead of dreaded. Over time, I enjoyed Boot Camp so much that I moved into CrossFit. I'm still a beginner in CrossFit and probably will be for a while but my weight loss has accelerated since making the switch, and I've started feeling stronger, healthier, and more positive overall. So far, I've had classes with seven different coaches plus Brad, the owner, and every one of them has been dedicated, approachable, and engaged. Each coach has their own style, which makes it fun you pick up something new in every session. Brad himself is humble and very committed to building the kind of community that makes people want to keep coming back. The best part of this gym is the great community of coaches n people. It's full of people who push themselves, encourage each other, and make the hard work enjoyable. If you're looking for a place that challenges you but also supports you, CrossFit One World is it. Joining here has been one of the best decisions for my health and well-being.

The space they have created is so welcoming for beginners, and they foster an environment where anyone--no matter where they are in their fitness journey--can get the workout they are looking for. The instructors are attentive to everyone in class and are incredibly supportive. I would also like to show my appreciation for three instructors whose classes I generally take on a weekly basis. Claudia is one of my all-time favorite fitness instructors that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I have taken her Pilates reformer class, hybrid mat class, and TRX class. I consider her coaching the primary reason I was able to break through the fitness plateau I was experiencing before coming to the studio. She is extremely knowledgeable about the workouts and can create modifications on the spot to fit you and your fitness goals. I go Tina's Barre class, and what I appreciate about it is the structure, as well as how unique each session is. Her instruction style is very supportive, and she is beyond cognizant of everyone in the room. In every class, she checks in on each client to make sure they have good form. I never thought I would enjoy taking Barre, but I now consider myself a true Barre enthusiast. Audrey is another amazing instructor. I generally take her reformer class and Exo Chair class. Audrey's classes are so welcoming and engaging. Her workouts are challenging, but due to how she engages the class, time seems to fly by because we are all just having fun. As I stated at the beginning of this review, I have never advocated this much for a fitness studio, and I will continue to be a client for the foreseeable future and then some. Thank you, Jen, and the rest of the IMX Studio team!

For someone who dislikes exercise, getting sweaty and waking up early, IMX Pilates has completely changed the way I feel and think about exercise. This form of fitness is perfect for me who has chronic aliments like a bad back/knee, weak shoulder, sensitive tailbone and hurt foot. Movements can be modified to your level or current condition. It can be challenging if you push yourself. It's a full body low impact workout that works your whole body and muscles you didn't even know existed! I can attest that my physical weaknesses before going to Pilates have either healed or strengthened. When I had rotator cuff surgery, Pilates was a great rehab exercise. The best part are the instructors esp the owner. She knows you by name and makes a point to make sure your form is correct, and nothing is too overwhelming or hard. She has hired some amazing instructors who truly love teaching and doing Pilates. They won't teach anything they wouldn't do themselves. And EVERY class is different. You never will be bored! The studio is exceptionally clean; the reformers are spaced out well (not cramped); the equipment is well cared for and lots of options for hand weights, wedges, cushions to accommodate your back, head etc.. and its not difficult to get a spot in class if you register in a timely manner. It's been one of the best commitments I have ever made.
