Fraudulent billing practices. Absolutely do not recommend. This was one of the most dishonest and upsetting experiences I have ever had with a veterinary clinic. I brought my cat in for surgery and was given an estimate of around $900. Based on that estimate, I signed the paperwork so they could move forward. After the surgery was done, I was suddenly presented with a bill for over $3,000. At no point before the procedure or during the surgery did anyone tell me the cost was going to increase anywhere close to that amount. There was no phone call, no update, and no attempt to get my approval for these additional charges. The only time they communicated clearly was when they wanted payment. When I explained that my budget was $2,000 and that the final bill was far beyond what I had agreed to, instead of trying to work with me or explain things in a professional way, they threatened to call the police. After the fact, they tried to hide behind a tiny line in the paperwork saying the final price could vary depending on the actual procedure. That was never properly explained before surgery, and it certainly does not justify charging more than three times the original estimate without any real communication. This felt incredibly misleading, predatory, and unprofessional. When people bring their pets in for surgery, they are already stressed and vulnerable. A clinic should be transparent about costs, communicate clearly about major changes, and get approval before adding thousands of dollars in charges. If you care about honesty, transparency, and basic respect as a customer, stay away from this place. Absolutely do not recommend. read more

Wyoming Veterinary used to be a wonderful, clean, caring, compassionate place to bring my cat. Since they sold it now smells as soon as you enter the clinic. I was always part of my cat's appointment, and taken back to the room with her. My last (and LAST means last for sure) visit to get my cat's claws trimmed the tech came out took my cat away and got snippy when I started to follow saying there was no need for me to come back. The trim was ragged, and I got scolded by a technician in her 20s. They used to be so amazing...but the new folks who have taken over are horrible and not cat friendly. read more

This is the 2nd time I've taken my dog to get his nails clipped and both times they have failed to do so. Their office visit fee and professional (routine) fee is insanely high for the 5 minutes they spent on him. They charged me for a sedative (which I was weary about in the first place) and did not cut his nails but again charged me for their service. After the first attempt, I called and made an appointment for a second try, this time using a sedative. The receptionist tried to tell me that they haven't done nail procedures since 2019. To me that raised a red flag because our first procedure was during the pandemic in 2020. However, I ignored the red flag and proceeded to make a 2nd appointment and had the same results. A 5 minute check up and no nails clipped. This is my first review I've ever spent the time to write. I think they were just negligent. Polite. But negligent. I went to pet supplies plus and without any type of sedation, they clipped his nails. It took 3 women to keep him calm but they got the job done in 20 minutes and only charged me $10. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!! We ended up taking our boy Maverick to Pet Vet Urgent Care Blue Ash around 1:30pm due to his worsening swelling in his leg. Was told there was a wait until initially 5:30pm, which then turned to 7:40pm by the time they checked us in somehow, and ended up being 8:09pm by the time we ended communication with them. We notified them around 6pm that his condition had worsened, had multiple pockets of fluid throughout his body, was very warm, and his stitches around his neuter were red. They then told us that we needed to find somewhere else to take him and we couldn't be seen at all by them tonight. Understand the need for priority of urgent animals first, but at least have the decency to tell us earlier or give us an accurate idea of when he can be seen. Very disappointed to say the least. We then called basically everywhere from Cincinnati to Dayton that was open and got responses that they all had between 5 and 12 hour wait times. Eventually, we decided to just take him to MedVet Cincinnati to be seen and have vitals taken asap and they could let us know next steps. He had a temp of 103.3 and she agreed that it's most likely an infection. They were so caring and loved him almost as much as we do and got us in and out within 30 minutes. We are now home, waiting on their call to bring him in to be seen by a vet and get a clear diagnosis, but it is most likely an infection from him licking his neuter site, and now there's fluid spreading through his leg and now a visible pocket in his stomach. They also offered to do a full blood work up to make sure there isn't anything else wrong given his length of stay at the shelter and how malnourished he still is and the fact that he was a stray. We never received a call that night and had to call them the following morning to get any kind of response. We then went to other vets in the area and also couldn't be seen due to being booked. Finally at 10am we get a text that they're ready for us so we drive over in 15 minutes. We get checked back in, vitals retaken, and then sat there for over 2 hours while everyone else who comes in is seen and taken care of except us. At that point, we got in contact with Wyoming Veterinary Clinic via phone call. They asked for his medical records, which we forwarded immediately. They called me back within 15 minutes to schedule an appointment with us! They got us in within an hour and we were in and out of their clinic in under 30 minutes AND for much less money than MedVet would've charged us (plus provided heart worm and flea and tick meds that he needed anyways from being in the shelter) Could not be more grateful for Wyoming and their whole team for being so kind and loving to our baby boy! Most of the care for my animals has been with care and kindness. Been a few times with my animals I was left fuming. My old 14plus adopted black lab went in for second year checkup. Came up heartworm positive was told by voice message then could reach Vet for days. Person who did answer our questions didn't feel it was worth the treatment because of age. Beware going to Wyoming Veterinary Clinic. Unbelievable with these staff and especially the doctor totally unprofessional and disrespectful. These staff and doctor are rude, lack people skills, training, lairs, and they took advantage of the customers, especially the disability people like myself. If you plan on doing business with them, then good luck. The best advice is never to do verbal agreement and be sure do sign nothing with them without a full written estimate, itemize. Regardless of many years, we gave the business to them and this time they decide to take advantage of us. I simply call in ask for a price to declaw two cats and they told me $210.00 for the front paw of each cat, plus medicine, which about $15 and two days stay. I asked if they able to do 4 paws and they said yes $270.00 for each cat. I ask is there anything else I needed to know and additional charge and etc, which they said nope that is it. They told me my first cat had been there and he is good, but the 2nd cat hadn't, which needed bring in for a checkup, which I did and cost $83. I did and made an appointment and friend of my drop the cat off to get the declaw done. The Vet didn't do four paws for each cat, which only two in front. Now they telling me the bill is $802.00 .. I said what and how? I was told no more than $500.00. They charge me for microchip, which the cat already had and another bunch of bogus charge of extra $300.00 Their answer was the paper was signed and it what it is. I like what you mean paper signed? The Vet response was "it what it is." These people had no answer and they kept using the reverse tactic and try turntable around on me. They couldn't justify to me the charge. They kept saying the paper sign, and I ask them to explain it to me and her answer was I was rude. How was I rude when I ask oh please help me to understand explain this to me, then they want to insult me. They spoke to me like I was dumb and uneducated. I kept my calm and I was polite, which the staff wasn't even trying to make an effort. The only thing that comes out their mouth was a paper sign and this is the total amount or we come after you. I see this wasn't going to get anywhere with this lady and I ask to speak her to her boss and then the doctor got on the phone and just attack me before I said work and without understand what going on. Basically telling me that I insult his staff and he wants his money. WOW, I said excuse me and I explain it to him and he said ( yes you guessed it) your friend sign the paper. HELLO shut up about the paper and get pass to it and what paper? geez A friend of my (she deaf) drop of my cats and the Vet told her to sign this paper to proceed the surgery. The Vet love throw in my face said it the paper signs.. I said what sign? the Vet said the agreement. I said the agreement about proceeding the surgery and your point is? They said correct. They admit it to me they didn't discuss the additional charge to me or to my friend. They insist the paper was signed and they felt like whatever they feel what cat needed and went on did it upon their-self without telling me. They whole point is that I ask upfront of the cost and they told me verbally the cost. The doctor told me too bad and I should have it in writing. My comment to them was "interesting as I am in business for myself for 22 years and I not comparing myself to you, but I never do contract with any of my customers and never use contract against to my customer.. Again this wasn't an agreement of charge." I never stoop low to my customer like that and tell them oh well. I alway make sure my customer is happy and what we agree on". Also, the way the doctor spoke to me, never my lifetime I ever met a supposed to be a professional doctor and how he spoke to me. The Vet plays the game as they try to tell me I didn't ask for the whole cost. I did ask for the total cost out of the door. Instead, the Vet to try speak with their customer to understand what happened here, they were so ignorant and unprofessional. How sad is that as I'm the only one acting reasonable and professional about this. This is how they behave? That shows me their weakness, desperate and under achiever... Something isn't right about the staff, doctor, and the place. I will look further into this.. Don't you love it even you ask them THREE times and they insist is only $210 plus medication and taxes. Then they turn around said, "ooh we only gave you surgery cost and you didn't ask for what total expense would be." HELLO, I did ask. I don't ask for a partial price. I ask for the total cost out of the door. The way the staff and the doctor spoke to me, which you can see isn't wasn't their first time. Let me make this clear about the $802 that wasn't like I couldn't afford it, which the whole issue is that the Vet knew what the agreement was, as what I was told and they took advantage of me and hit me up for another $300.00.. Dr. Shroyer was more then helpful when our Doberman swallowed a pacifier creating an obstruction last weekend! He went out of his way to squeeze our dog in for surgery first thing on a Monday when we didn't feel comfortable with the emergency center operating on him. He truly went over and above to help us in the situation and gave our pet the best care who is at home and recovering well! I would recommend this practice to anyone who only wants the best care for their animals. Extremely reasonable and accommodating and couldn't be more friendly! The staff is amazing too! read more

I recently moved to the area with a cat that has chronic renal failure. While we did not need a check up yet, we were running low on our prescription food and contacted Wyoming Veterinary Clinic to see if it would be possible to get food through them. While I never met with the veterinarian himself, since it wasn't necessary for our needs, I will not ever go to the vet because of the unprofessionalism and the lack of knowledge of the staff who work at the front desk. When one of the staff said she would follow up with me the next day, I did not hear back from her until 4 business days later, after I contacted them multiple times to inquire about the status of our food. When she did call me, she offered me prescription food for a completely different disease and hadn't even ordered what we had requested. With a cat that has a terminal illness, I need a veterinarian's office on which I can rely, and I am very confident that this place is not it. read more

They've got a great citywide reputation and it is well deserved - very thoughtful, kind, and responsive in an emergency. They understand well that not only the pet is their patient - the owner's emotional health gets a little wobbly too, right? Our poor 11 year old yellow lab had a rough night this week - vomiting for hours - and they worked their magic for her... We have had been to this vet twice so far with our two miniature schnauzer puppies. They have been great and Dr. Grossy (sp?) was wonderful. He has a soft spot for this breed which makes me have a soft spot for him too. They have been very professional and caring for our two pups. Our 9 year old cat was just diagnosed with chronic renal disease at a different clinic. My suspicion is that it is due to years of feeding dry food before i realized how awful/deadly dry food is. I strongly urge cat lovers to STOP feeding dry food and check out catinfo.org. Dr. Dalton Shroyer was knowledgeable and capably confirmed this terrible condition. He offered welcome encouragement about the treatment options and how i could even care for cat at home. We discussed important dietary needs and other ways to extend my cat's life. The front desk staff were busy on that Monday afternoon returning boarding pets to owners, but all were kind and attentive. So this review is about the new vet at this clinic . We used to go to dr grossi who was amazing and one of the most compassionate vets I've ever found. He was so incredibly kind when I put my 14 year old dog to sleep. He also let me make payments on her surgery which is unheard of now. However the new vet that brought this practice is beyond awful . I took my not yet 2 year old Havanese mix in because she had been crying a lot and just recently had a few incidents of food aggression, never to people but to other dogs. She had major bladder surgery 4 months ago at Grady vet and had a hard recovery. She hasn't been the same pup since this. So I was looking for some advice if this was behavioral and a rule out for any medical concerns. After hearing a few sentences from me, his response was .... '"You are not going to like this, but you need to put her to sleep." I was so stunned I didn't respond at first. He then said I have to tell you this legally and that you are risking being sued. I need to stress this is a 18 lb dog who has never hurt a person ever and is great with my 2 and 4 year old granddaughters. In fact this behavior is so contrary to her nature I thought it might be a physical problem . Worse he said this with zero compassion like this was an easy choice. Later when I got home and processed this with other families members who along with me were beyond irate it dawned on my how awful this was. I followed Dr. Lisa Johnson to Wyoming Veterinary Clinic, and am glad I did! Great facility and caring staff. Dr. Johnson is wonderful, and I trust her completely with the care of my kitties. She is gentle, knowledgeable and thorough. It's like talking to your best friend. I would also like to give kudos to vet tech Mary. Someone I also trust completely. Her presence made me feel safe and at home the first time I went to Wyoming. Lastly, I would like to mention Dr. Rogers, who is an internal medicine specialist at Wyoming. There is no better vet in town. Dr.Grossi is a gifted diagnostician with a huge heart. He has cared for my animals since 1990, through feline aids, diabetes, paralyzation- yep, God sends me the high maintenance ones. Dr.Grossi's fees are always reasonable but that is secondary to his exemplary care. He returns phone calls promptly, mourns with you when things go sour and rejoices when things go well. We have taken our dogs here for 10 years. I have never experienced anything but excellent veterinary care and a professional yet personable front office staff. (how many offices offer you fresh baked cookies?) Both Dr. Abyad and Dr. Grossi are incredible. They clearly love their work and are very knowledgeable and thorough. Can not say enough about them. With my paperwork from the SPCA I had a listing of vets that would do a complimentary first check after adopting a dog. Nearly all area vets were listed but Wyoming Vet. I called and asked if they would honor a complimentary check up and (after waiting 2 days for them to call back... I had to call them back) they said they checked with Dr. Garcia and he said no - they will not honor. So I will be taking my business elsewhere. I can't believe they have denied an already existing customer. It is just a quick first check... it is not like I would not have been coming back for all future business.
