I really wanted to like this place. We stopped in for dinner and the bad first experience began. The place was busy and nearly full, usually the sign of a good restaurant. We were sat in a booth almost immediately, another good sign. Initially the server was attentive, but surprisingly as the place got less and less busy the server became less and less available. I had a juicy Lucy burger and my wife had the fish and chips. We waited an unusually long time for our meal. During our long wait for food, another server actually asked us if we were ready to order our food. A little sad. This just shows the level of disorganization at the restaurant. When the food finally arrived everything was room temperature and the fries and chips were stale tasting, cold and unseasoned. Disappointing to say the least because we waited so long for the food. It appears that as we waited, our hot fresh food, sat in the back, cooling and waiting for our server to deliver it. The fish was tasty, crispy and a good size portion. The burger at room temperature, was on the small side, but tasty and good. I felt cheated by the small size and it is no where near the quality of burger of a Matt's Bar or the Nook. In fact a Smash Burger or Culver's Burger is much a better product at a better price. The French Fries were terrible: cold, stale and lacked seasoning. The place has potential. The slowest service ever! We arrived on a Tuesday night at 8:50pm. There were only two other tables that were already seated eating/about to leave. The bar was half full. We were informed that happy started at 9. Since we had never been here before, we took a few minutes to look over the menu, then we decided to order the Jack Daniels wings. We ordered those at 9:05. The server didn't come back to take our meal order until 9:25. The wings FINALLY arrived at 9:40 (do the math). We then got our meals at 9:50. In a way, it's unfortunate that the food was good, because I want to try more on their menu, but, I don't want to endure the painfully slow service. read more

Terrible service, no idea how the food is. Stopped in for a beer and burger tonight. While looking at beer list bartender asked what i wanted. I said nothing looks good tonight. She responded with a snotty "We have 80 beers". Maybe, but the craft menu only lists the breweries and says "rotating" and/or ask server so i didn't know what all they had. Told her i would need a few minutes i set down my menus. She proceeded to chat with the guy at the end of the bar, took phone orders while a manager sat at a desk in the office surfing the net with the door open in plain site. (Summary - service slower than a glacier and about as cold. Would not recommend) I have been here three times to try this place out, and all 3 were disappointing. The first time I came later for drinks and snacks. The bartender clearly did not want to be there or help us. Past that, half the things we wanted were not in stock or no longer available but the menu was out of date. Ok, not the biggest thing in the world but disappointing. We went back in a few weeks to have dinner. There were some things we wanted to order but, surprise, again out of stock or no longer available. The other item we wanted to get we were told was not a good idea because it was a lot of work and we don't want to upset the kitchen. The order in question? Cheeseburger sliders. We were told by my friends to try them for breakfast as they had good donut holes and we should give them one more chance. We went and it was not terribly busy, but we got served promptly and our order taken. After this is where it fell all apart. Our donut holes which we got as an appetizer took 45 min to get to us, just as we were about to give up. So we had a little hope. This hope was unfounded as our food never came in the next half hour. We decided we would just pay for our one drink and donuts and move on, but our waitress never came back to us. Not even to check on refills or new drinks. We tried to flag her down but she literally went to the table next to us and turned her back on us. I did not feel like making a scene or grabbing her so we left our money for the donuts and left after waiting another 15 min. Ironically, as we were leaving, there was a large group seated near us. They also had issues because one of their number never got his food. They spent about a half hour trying to get it off their bill and when the manager came back out to confirm the refund... the missing food came out to be served to him. They also were waiting at least a half hour for resolution as I noted that their group was leaving around the time we had our donuts. I really want to like this place and I think they have a very interesting menu, but I have yet to try any of the food I am interested in. And not for lack of trying on my part. read more

I loved this place!!! The food was great, the Minnesconsin tots were amazing... The only thing I could think of that would be better would be licking Nutella off of Megan Fox as Thai massage therapist have be a rub down. I also ordered the Cajun Gator Burger which was great. Huge beer selection made better by the great happy hour deals. The only reason this place didn't get 5 stars is because the service was slow. It was busy when we walked in and we were told to seat ourselves...The problem with seating ourselves is nobody knew we were new customers. I started coming here about 7 months ago, love the happy hour not so much the food, staff has always been great. They hired a new GM who was a regular here at the bar, not the most personable, nor the friendliest person you could know. She has no experience AT ALL in the restaurant business, but again she was hired. After starting she still doesn't smile, greet customers, she is rude and I have had to sit at the bar waiting for her to serve me, along with others she knows and she refuses to serves myself and people she doesn't like from what I was told by a regular. I had to get up from the bar and ask a server to get a beverage for me, if this is the kind of service Wyatt's owners thinks is ok, well we will see how many of your regulars will come back if this continues. Live nearby and have been here frequently. Previous reviews are very accurate. The service is always a risk. I've also waited and waited for food forever. On one previous visit I waited so long that I ended up taking it to go. (A breakfast order, there by myself, two other tables of people in the restaurant and it took 50 minutes). Typically though the food is worth it. This last visit was not good. My favorite item is no longer on the menu so I tried the Breakfast Bomb. It is supposed to come with hollandaise sauce. It appeared as though the sauce had been spread on with a butter knife not poured over, it was not hot and it was extremely dry. I also noticed the prices had increased and is now in line with everyone else. I can't say that I won't be back but it won't be my first option and moves down the list considerably after this visit. The restroom has always had cleanliness issues and often the menus are sticky, tables aren't cleaned off and spice shakers are dirty. I give a place a pass when they are new but it has been long enough now. Also of note, I rarely see anyone working there that I have ever seen before. Fantastic burgerst!!!! Very good beer selection. Friendly wait staff. Have been here four times and only had burgers, but mushrooms and onions nicely sautéed, buns moist. They don't overcook the burgers. Kind of like a neighborhood hangout, kids friendly, diverse age groups. More "Cheers" bar than typical"sports" bar. However I don't think places that want to establish themselves as great places to drink (large beer menus) should cater to families as well. Walking in, the place was absolutely dead. Maybe two other small groups/couples were in there. Sitting at the bar and moving this story forward, the bartender was very knowledgeable on his beers and decent enough. His recommendation on a couple different beers was excellent. His recommendation on the turkey burger? Not so great. Of course I don't blame him for my being underwhelmed by the food. Sometimes things just suck. Right? In this case it was the bacon ranch turkey burger with the extremely generic ranch dressing, which was also way over cooked. No, I didn't complain about it until now. I will also add, my friends cheeseburger was rather undercooked. The tab was mine on this occasion and I was mildly surprised at how high it was. Yes, critical audience, I knew what I was ordering. It just goes back to that sign out front again with the $2.99 kids meal. My wife and I have not been out to eat since COVID started and decided to go out tonight. We were seated and our waitress delivered us waters and said she was going to drop off two checks and be right back to take our drink orders. After watching her drop off the two checks to tables right by ours she ran into another couple in front of our table and began a conversation with them. I gave this place a 1 just because the burger tasted good. Other than that, this place is seems to have really gone downhill. The bartender was obviously inebriated . I watched him pour at least 2 shots for himself and he was already lost when I walked in. It took him 10 minutes to acknowledge me and take my drink order. 10 minutes after I got my food order in he asked what I got, 20 minutes later he asked if I would be ordering food. The place was maybe 1/4 full so there could be no excuse for not cooking the food and delivering it to the table in a more timely manner. Even when the food arrived some of our orders had been sitting there, while not too cool, they were also not hot like they should be. Wait staff error? Chef not getting all the orders done at the same time? I can't guess as to why this seems to be a problem for the restaurant but it is enough for me to not go back. Great selection of beers. Staff is friendly and attentive. However, after 3 visits specifically for food, I've been served an unusual amount of apologies for the menu absences and wait times, as well as overcooked or underwhelming sandwiches. Twice I've ordered burgers where the kitchen is out of listed ingredients, later requiring either my approval for a kitchen substitution or selection of an alternative burger... extending the wait time. Same two visits, burgers were over-done and dry after the long wait. I reluctantly decided upon a third and last chance visit, where my order never made it to the kitchen initially and later arrived missing listed ingredients over what was an amusing lack of pulled BBQ chicken on a mostly dry hoagie. The place wasn't busy at all that afternoon, but I had waited long enough for food and just ate it as it was. I should have taken a picture to share. Rather, I should have left after waiting 30 minutes before being told my order was not received by the kitchen due to technical difficulties. While waiting patiently for all 3 of my orders, it's difficult not to notice others in my group and more often customers in the general area routinely receiving apologies as well. Same situations, consistently all food related. Despite the excellent beer selection, I won't be going back. Sorry, Wyatt's Eagan. You're 0-3 on food and there are much better options for similarly priced menu items locally. read more

I was excited to try Wyatt's as I am a fan of burgers. I knew the reviews were not stellar. However, Matt G spoke highly of Wyatt's and I was intrigued to not only try a new restaurant but to experience my first Yelp event (unofficial). Brian R and I arrived about 20 minutes before the event was set to happen. We sat at the bar. The bartender asked us if we wanted anything to drink. Brian ordered a root beer while I pondered the drink menu. I do not drink often so I wasn't sure if I wanted anything. The Twisted Mule sounded intriguing, though. I flagged the bartender down and ordered the drink. Brian and I also decided to get the Sausage Stuffed 'Shrooms as we were both hungry and they were part of the happy hour special. My drink came in a cute little copper colored tin cup. It was delicious! The bartender asked if we wanted food menus. We said yes as we knew there was a lot to look over. We had just started looking them over when Noelle R and Matt G walked in. We asked the bartender if we would be able to push some tables together as we would be having a large party. He glanced around and asked if we could give him a minute. Three tables were combined to make room for our group. Noelle, Matt, Brian and myself sat down. Our waiter came by and was immediately friendly and made us all feel welcome. We informed him we were waiting for more people. He got Matt and Noelle's drink order and said he'd be back. Brian and I were still waiting for the 'shrooms. It hadn't been a tremendously long wait but was getting close to the point where I was ready to ask about them. The next time the waiter stopped by he had the 'shrooms! Huzzah! He admitted he hadn't been ready for us to have food yet but that he'd be right back with plates and utensils. He came back with these adorable small tin plates. The napkins and cutlery were in small glass mason jars. Brian and I dug in. The 'shrooms were superb! They were piping hot but they hit the spot! The sausage had a delicious maple flavor with just a tish of heat. The mushrooms themselves were perfect. The cheese added just the right glue to hold it all together! By this time I was finished with my twisted mule and decided to try the Party On drink. More people had joined the group by now. The waiter did a great job keeping up with appetizer and drink orders. He checked in regularly, joked around, and made sure we had what we needed. The drink appeared within a couple of minutes. It was even better than the Twisted Mule! It had a bit of sweetness at first from the amaretto but then a tinge of sour from the cranberry and lemon. Divine! At this point apps were being passed back and forth between us all- Ellsworth Cheese Curds (wonderfully cheesy and crispy with just the right amount of grease!), Gator Bites (I passed on these but everyone else seemed to like them), Smoked Frog Legs (again, I passed but they were also liked by those that ate them), and Pepper Jack Stuffed Pretzels (these were amazing! Just the right amount of pop when bitten into and the sweet and spicy mustard sauce was heavenly). We all ordered. The server did ask that we order using the letter and number next to the name if possible. I ordered The Mayhem (V-4)- a juicy lucy stuffed with american cheese and topped with pepper jack, pickled jalapenos, and served with a side of jerk style holy hot habanero sauce. I got the fries with mine as I wanted to try the "dustings." The dustings were spices that could be sprinkled on top of your fries. The food took an appropriate amount of time to come out to us. I cut my burger in half so I could share with Brian. He had gotten the Maple Beer Brat burger. I tried the jerk style habanero sauce first. It was spectacular- the sweetness of the jerk came first and then you got the heat of the habanero on the back of your throat. It was perfect! Brian gave me some of his burger. I tried it without the sauerkraut. It was so good! The pretzel bun combined with the cheddar and maple brat and sweet and spicy mustard was excellent. I decided to try all the dustings. The cajun was my favorite by far. The others didn't have much flavor in my opinion. Finally it was time to try my burger. I drizzled the jerk habanero sauce on it and dug in. Delish! The combo of the jalapeno's, pepper jack, american cheese, and sauce was perfection. I did give half of my jalapeno's to Noelle as there were a lot! I did end up having a bit more of Brian's brat burger (so good!). He was able to order more fries as they are bottomless. The fries did take a bit longer than one would expect to come. However, by this time the place was pretty busy. Overall, I truly enjoyed my visit to Wyatt's. I definitely plan on going back. There are so many more burgers and apps to try! The atmosphere was extremely friendly and welcoming. Our server was fabulous and made us all feel right at home. Oh, and the music was awesome :) read more

We were in town visiting some friends and they took us here. We actually stopped in 3 different times so we got the chance to see dining and bar aspects of the place. First night we had burgers, I went with the hot one that has cheese melted inside with hot sauce. I am a hot food person and this thing nailed it. I had to take a break here and there to wipe my forehead. The flavor was spectacular and portion was generous. My wife had the grilled cheese burger which was a burger sandwiched between 2 grilled cheese sandwiches! She, like usual didn't finish so I got a few bites of that and it was equally as good. The staff was friendly but we had a new guy so it was a little slow (to be expected, I can't rip on someone who is new). The beer selection is plentiful so if you like beer there should be something for you. I tried a variety of pale ales and was not disappointed. The bar tender, Jake is seriously knowledgeable, tell him what you like and you will be taken care of. We also tried the wings which were unlike anything I've had and if you've seen my other posts I love my wings! This place actually smokes their wings first which I've never had. As soon as I bit into them I could taste the delicious smokey flavor, makes my mouth water just thinking about them. We had 3 different flavors, traditional, Cajun rub, and a battered wing, yes battered another new one. They actually have have an in house batter they dip in then fry...genius! Finally we stopped in for breakfast and had typical breakfast foods eggs, bacon, hashbrowns. Everything was good and the hash browns nice and crunchy. I would definitely return and think food, drinks, and staff (Jake in particular) were all great. Sloooooooow service. I've been here three times now and each time the service is painful to experience. The employees seem to hate their jobs and it shows. I have gone for breakfast twice and dinner once and was even offered a coupon for my next visit because the wait for our food was over 45 minutes (2 of us, not a group). Just a warning if you like to eat even semi-healthy .. the breakfast menu food items are served in glass pie pans and are floating in a grease, melted butter, lard substance making your meal kind of a 'breakfast soup'. I asked for the eggs Benedict with very little hollandaise sauce and I received them floating in it literally. I also only got one egg. Typically there is an egg on the top of each english muffin. I asked about this and the server never came back to our table. My son and I tried our best to eat anything from our meals but we could not find the edible portions hidden in the 'fat/grease/butter sludge' that was served to us. This place should not be serving food at all and just stick to serving booze. I gave a 1 star because they did seem to have a nice Bloody Mary bar, the place was clean, the outside seating was nice, and there are plenty of televisions.
