Great pies and awesome service! The boneless wings were also delicious! Give the homemade chips a shot as well!

We just devoured the famous tomato pie! It was superb!

Searching for a decent hotel and meal in Charleston, desiring to avoid the homogenous choices available at every major exit across the country, we came upon this little gem! The slightly stale smell upon entrance is quickly forgotten! The folks are genuine. the food is delicious! The decor seaworthy.

Update: The owner sent me a vaguely threatening message after I posted my previous review. Very professional.

The Bobby Dock Sauce is exquisite. It enhances the flavor of any entree. It is such a wonderful blend of tastes. The secret is in the sauce!

Here in North Carolina we have to go to Biscuitville or Hardees and they aren't a fraction as good as any Tudors. As a former West Virginian this is one of my favorite WV restaurants and I always get breakfast here if I'm passing through. I also have sent dozens of friends to these restaurants over the years advising them to get the biscuit and sausage gravy which is on another level. My other favorite is a bacon egg and cheese biscuit. My most recent trip was when the National Harley Owner Group was in town for a rally. I talked a dozen people into skipping the low quality hotel breakfast and coming down to Tudors....and you know what they did??? They got breakfast here everyday for the remainder of the rally. Yeah, it's that good when you don't have good options like this back home. Service here was great. Food was made quickly and brought out to me. A lady walked around offering coffee refills and she gladly filled my tumbler to go. The vibe at Tudors is pretty much the same, just a basic small restaurant with easy to clean seats and tables.

I'm a sucker for biscuits, and the first time I saw a sign for Tudor's, I realized it was a chain, but I also knew I wanted to go there. I didn't realize that it was fast food, but I decided to try it anyhow. I was pleasantly surprised. I got the Ron -- a HUGE biscuit with egg, cheese and I think sausage. It was so big that it was hard for me to hold (not ideal while driving) but it was so good! I'm really glad I stopped -- and I wish we had it here!

Of all the food in the meal, my family enjoyed the potato salad and the bbq ribs. The chicken seemed like it was canned. The brisket was mostly fat. The pulled pork was dry. The Mac and cheese was bland and the cheesy potato bake tasted off. However, the ribs, which we liked, were very tender and very flavorful. Service: Couldn't have been nicer or more friendly. Ambiance: My family and I don't listen to country, so we aren't good judges of that. But the room was clean and inviting. We also got our food to go, so we aren't good judges for a full review of the ambiance there. Would we go there again? Possibly; if we wanted only ribs. But we'd probably always get it "to-go".

And I like to eat where the locals eat, no chain restaurants for me if at all possible. So with those thoughts in mind I decided to give this restaurant a try. I'm so happy to have found this restaurant! A really nice place, serving huge portions of fresh food. The french fries were freshly made and delicious, salads looked extremely fresh, and the service was quick with a great attitude. The restaurant and bathroom was clean and without any bad odors, wonderful value for lunch. I had the pulled pork sandwich with fries as you can see in my photos. Come hungry! Small little unassuming place that truly delivers!

The bar staff was outstanding from start to finish. We had a few different bartenders taking care of us, and each one was attentive, friendly, and great at helping with recommendations. We ordered the New York steak and the Brussels sprouts special. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium, and the Brussels sprouts hit that ideal balance--crispy, flavorful, and just right. Everything we had was packed with flavor. The drinks didn't miss either--ice-cold beer and expertly crafted cocktails all around. If you find yourself in Charleston, this spot is absolutely worth a visit. Highly recommend.

My margarita was not good at all. So bad that I didn't even drink more than half which is just a sin when it comes to expensive cocktails. My husband's chicken sandwich had about as much chicken as a tiny tender strip. He left hungry. I had the steak special. Which had good flavors (as anything covered in cheese would) but if I'm paying $60 for a medium rare steak, it's a shame that it came out medium well. Roasted cauliflower was mid, I make better at home in my air fryer. Service was good but the waitress was pretty pushy with the extras like we were insane for not ordering appetizers and not letting her bring us a glass of 4 roses. Ambiance was fine. But the experience was not worth my money, not even if it was half the cost honestly.
