I wish I liked this place more than I did. It was good but not my favorite place. They did give huge potions for a good price which is why I wish I loved it more.

Cute little spot. Service was good. Food was hot and fresh. Rangoon was great! Crispy and full of filling. The General Tsos was good and the plain fried rice with it was good. Sesame chicken was good as well. The egg foo young needed flavor. The gravy was alright but lacking some flavor. Almost tasted watery. The wing were crispy and the fries were great.

I've searched all over San Antonio for the perfect red boneless spare ribs, and I finally found them here! If you're craving amazing red boneless spare ribs, this is the place to go!

The ribs didn't taste fresh or the meat not falling off the bone! The rice didn't taste like fried rice!

She knew portion sizes, flavor profiles, and made sure we were happy with food selections. Ambiance: place is trendy. Decor was really nice and the place felt welcoming. My spouse and I could converse in a regular level and never felt as if we needed to shout to be heard. Food: Delicious! We opted for the 7 course prefix meal and it didn't disappoint. We added the shrimp and Brussels sprouts appetizer (which we took home). As this was our first time, we don't realize they had different menus. Everything we had was phenomenal. We will be back. But once we sat down, it made sense. Everything is made to order, and you can taste the difference. There was only one server handling the entire floor, and when a rush hit all at once, it definitely got busy fast. But here's the thing... she handled it with grace. Even when you could tell she was juggling a lot, she stayed attentive, kind, and kept checking in on us. That kind of effort deserves recognition. Now let's talk about the real star of the show... The Texas French Toast. Oh. My. Goodness. Thick, golden, perfectly cooked slices topped with homemade whipped cream and fresh berries that tasted like they were picked that morning. It wasn't just good, it was indulgent in the best way. Sweet without being overwhelming. Rich but balanced. I couldn't even finish it (which says a lot), and happily boxed the rest up. The only regret? I ate all the berries first. Rookie mistake. My husband ordered one of the hash plates and said it was solid comfort food... hearty, flavorful, and filling. He couldn't finish his either, so I'm definitely sneaking a few bites later. Overall, we left impressed. The food feels intentional. The flavors feel thoughtful. It's the kind of local spot you want to root for. And the fact that they serve pork lumpia for lunch? Say less. We'll be back for that. If you're looking for a cozy, made-from-scratch brunch spot in Universal City, this one is worth the wait. Good food takes time, and this place proves it. ***This review is based on my taste buds. Oh my gosh, it was absolutely superb! *Chef's Kiss* We were the first people to arrive, which could have been a bummer, but it turned out to be a great experience. Our server was super patient with us since it was our first time there. She gave us some helpful tips and explained the menu items. She even answered all our questions! We started with the Famous Green Beans, the Garlicky Cold "Noods," and some chicken crispy dumplings. I'm not usually a green bean guy, but these were surprisingly good. The chicken crispy dumplings were a really cool twist on gyozas. And the cold garlicky "noods"! I could've had those all by myself and been happy. They were such a great way to start the meal. Most of the entrees are shareable family-style, so the portions are easy for two or more people. As we waited for our entree, I decided to try the Dashi Cooler for a cocktail. It was mellow, refreshing, and a bit tart, but it was a well-crafted drink. I also ordered another cocktail, but I'll tell you more about it later. Our entree of the Love Me or Hate Me Spicy Lamb Cumin arrived with a side of steamed rice. This is definitely a shareable dish. The lamb was so tender and flavorful. The veggies that came with it were seasoned and cooked just right to give them a nice crunch. As we were working this table full of food, I decided to try another cocktail from their specialty menu. I chose the Purple Moon, which is their version of a French 75 with Ube to give it a purple color. It was done really well. I'd definitely order it again on my next visit. According to their menu, happy hour is every day from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Overall, we were so impressed with our visit to Dashi that we were talking about having a birthday dinner there that's not for another few months. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu and cocktails. They're definitely a place I'll be visiting again!

You have the option to do rice or rice noodles in their soy sauce. I went noodles and I am addicted now. I will definitely come back for more of those as well as to try their Mongolian burger next time around. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. Because I am on a work trip, I did not have to worry about pricing, but I did think that, although it is the standard, this meal was pretty expensive. It was over $33 but I did add a fried egg and extra chicken. I ordered the Krapo with medium spice and it was perfectly spicy. There was a perfect amount of Thai basil in the dish and it was wet enough for the rice to be a perfect addition. The bell peppers and the onions were absolutely spectacular. Now for the Boba. I ordered a combination of coconut, kiwi and watermelon. I also made sure that I subbed out the milk for coconut water as I cannot tolerate dairy. This Boba smoothie might be the best Boba I have ever had. I will say that the lid is kind of confusing because I do not know if the Thai restaurant makes it or if it is a neighboring restaurant. Regardless, I would be back just for this eight dollar Boba. Upon arriving to the restaurant, there was limited parking and inside it was super crowded. Obviously this is a popular spot and a lot of people ordered delivery through apps. It was kind of chaotic when picking up, but it was absolutely worth it. The restaurant was dark, but it did seem clean. My only grip here is that they must've been so rushed that they did not give me silverware or napkins. I had to beg my hotel to accommodate me.
