I ordered sesame chicken with rice with chicken fried rice. Along with General Tso's chicken with fried rice and egg rolls. For appetizer two orders of fried dumplings. Both orders of chicken were dry and the chicken was very, very well done. It was almost like eating jerky. The rice did not look like it was fried and was mostly white. The dumplings were very well done and hard to bite through or cut with a fork. The egg rolls were very well done and hard to bit through. To end my Memorial Day, I ventured off my regular Foodie Path and visited Wu's, an obviously favorite Yelper Chinese spot as referenced by its 4 star Yelp rating. After my gym workout I preordered my meal of General Tso's chicken which was served with two egg rolls and steamed rice and also added a cup of egg drop soup. The food was ready when I arrived and was a decent portion for $10. The soup was ok, decent flavor but very gelatinous and served with stale wonton chips. My egg rolls while slightly over cooked were delicious. They were piping hot, stuffed with cabbage and shrimp and the first thing in my belly. The General Tsos was also ok and I concur with another Yelper that stated it reminded her of a meal from the Mall food court. It was not as meaty as a similar entree from Pei Wei and was covered with a lot of breading .. Was it worth $10.00... I guess so but halfway through the meal I felt guilty as my fingers were covered in grease and I felt the two hours of cardio in the gym melting away.. Yes We're all entitled to cheat days but I didn't feel satisfied with this meal and felt a bit guilty as the taste (reward) wasn't worth the effort I put into the gym. We were blown away by the delicious Chinese food . We moved to Selma a few months ago and had been disappointed with all restaurants around here and I am happy to have found this place . The lemon chicken, chicken lo mien, and pepper steak were all outstanding, and the potstickers were out of this world! The service was quick and friendly, and the food tasted incredibly fresh. So. Everyone has that neighborhood Chinese takeaway. This Is mine. It's a small busy storefront sandwiched between a Mexican and Italian eatery. All three stay very very busy. Wu's is fast and consistent. The prices are about average but I have my issues with places that are on the upper end of the pricing. Now it does offer lunch and dinner specials. But Wu's has some added selections that set it apart. It offers Mei Fun and chop suey. I've been happy with the times of ordered from here. They do have a small eating area for those who want to eat it there. read more

This is my local Chinese takeout spot and incredibly convenient to visit when I'm hankering for some 中華料理. And I've gotten my family hooked onto them, thanks to their quick service, and better quality food than other spots in the area. The customer service here is always great, and I commend them on keeping a healthy restaurant environment during this pandemic. They even have a huge bottle of sanitizer to use right there at the counter, so you can guarantee your own cleanliness. OK, so there's some mixed reviews about Wu's Kitchen and I'm confused. I've eaten there a few times and have never had a bad experience. Being a NYer transplanted to San Antonio I feel quite abused by the lack of true Chinese takeout spots. Wu's fills that gap nicely. I believe some people might be confused by what the actual place is. This is a Chinese takeout restaurant, not a sit down restaurant. This is a combo plate special type place (beef and broccoli with fried rice) in a disposable tupperware takeout tray. Love the food, the kid at the counter is super friendly, very polite and extremely helpful. The food is true NY style takeout, not Panda Express, but true Chinese takeout. It's meant to be eaten hot, as soon as you get home and not reheated and eaten tomorrow. I took one star because I had the boneless spare ribs and they were quite overcooked....but, it was one time of many and overall I've never had a problem. read more

Ordered takeout via a 3rd party delivery service. Food was hot and portions were appropriate. However, it really left me underwhelmed. All of the food fell completely flat. Very little flavor if any at all. I ordered the Mongolian beef (very watery/thin tasting) and crab Rangoon's. The crab Rangoon's has a very "powder" like texture. A place I'd overlooked among all the other businesses in this little plaza changed my perspective on regular Chinese food. You can go up to the counter and ask for your food or sit down and they'll wait on your table. Food comes out fresh and warm and they've got a large selection of traditional plates. Love it. Dishes are very flavorful and place looked clean. Staff could be friendlier is why I knocked a star off. It's hard to get ahold of anyone once the place is busy....this is a half fast food/ half dine-in place with only one waiter so you can't expect much but the flavors are on point, can't complain about that. Egg rolls are soft and delicious, the sauce to go with it so good. Crab Rangoon's are sooo awesome but the sesame chicken wasn't as tender as it could of been...if I could give an extra half star I would...Prices are decent, not bad! If you are around the Stahl/Judson area be sure to try this little Asian restaurant tucked between a liquor store and a bar that will for sure fulfill your Asian cravings! read more

Ever since moving to TX, I've been missing New York's Chinese take out. Wu's is the best take out Chinese I've had by far, in TX. They even have boneless spare ribs, which most chinese places don't have. I've only seen boneless spare ribs in NY take-out. I'm glad they incorporated it into their menu. The food and overall service is wonderful. I only waited 6 minutes until my food was done. I will be back for sure to try other options! read more

I have been eating Wu's as my ONLY Chinese food place ever since I moved in up the street, about 8 years ago. When some friends of mine were still living they had high expectations of NY style Chinese and Wu's never did disappoint, but actually modified a dish or two here and there for them!! I usually get orange chicken but have had rices soups chowmein and other dinner dishes, and never once have I had a complaint on either the size, temperature or flavor of the food. I live so close I never dine in but the place is small yet elegant with wall art and green marble tables; service counter is fast and has all the extras you may need for grab and go. At this point I legitimately couldn't even tell you who else would even be an option to order Chinese to go from, and my nearest Chinese buffet wasn't that great when I had them either so...‍ I may be partial because I'm within two miles and so don't mind picking up, but if you want Chinese food that's good every single time? Make the effort to pick your dinner up from Wu's over getting crappy delivery, and be sure to leave BIG TIP$!!! read more

This place is really close to my house , read the reviews and thought to give it a shot. Don't believe the hipe, fried rice is onion rice. Ordered general tso extra crispy and delivered soggy. Ordered the ribs and was charged $6.75 For 4 small ribs that where almost inedible. Place is small and service doesn't exist. Won't be back. Gave two stars because my daughters liked there pepper steak, didn't eat the fried rice. Try wah kee on blanco and 1604 for some real Chinese food. What a waste of money.. I had Wu's last year, or maybe the year before sometime and it was great.. idk what has changed but food was terrible.. guess I've never ordered dinner from here. I really wanted to be happy with my take out but damm.. I should've just opted for Panda Express.. My rice was so oily, thank goodness I picked up lots of soy sauce or it wouldn't have had taste. My friend Shimp was dry and just terrible. It was an empty Saturday night in the place... no excuse for terrible food. I'll give a star for nice service. Stopped in for an early dinner about 6pm, found this place was located near my house. We were quickly greeted upon entering. The style of restaurant is sort of fast food meets sit down. I felt like I was sitting in an old Wendys but the food was amazing! They made our food literally on the spot! We could see them in the kitchen. Our waitress was very helpful in giving extra explanation on any questions concerning dishes. We started the meal with a wonton soup for me and a hot and sour soup for my boyfriend. There were more than 2 wontons in my soup!!! OMG get out! Had the cliche Sesame chicken dish which didn't disappoint! I could probably serve 4 people; the plate was huge! Boyfriend ordered the Singapore noodle. This is a delicious dish that we've found at several other Chinese places that consists of smaller rice/vermicelli style noodles with a yellow color and super spicy/flavorful. This place nailed it. Pretty much had the 2nd best Chinese food at this small establishment. Service was quick and pleasant. Tables and floors were spotless. This place was really great over.
