The line out the door when we arrived--and the equally long wait when we left--makes it clear how much the community already supports Wu's Dynasty. Weekend yum cha was such a cherished family ritual growing up that my grandpa actually built me my very own dim sum cart to push around our living room. (If you are new to this culinary tradition and want a quick primer before you visit, check out my read-aloud of the book Yum Yum Dim Sum here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnLTxr61yVU). Sitting at our table today, watching the traditional steam carts weave through the bustling dining room, that childhood magic came rushing back. The food here is fiercely authentic and absolutely excellent. We feasted on perfectly delicate har gow (crystal shrimp dumplings), savory siu mai, and silky shrimp cheung fun. Both the steamed and fried chive dumplings took me back to my childhood, and the adorable "piggy baos" filled with custard were an absolute hit. It isn't absolutely perfect just yet--they are still working out a few kinks, like needing more food carts actively circulating the floor but we left completely satisfied with very full bellies. Walking out past the beautiful wooden abacus displays, I felt deeply grateful. Having a local restaurant of this caliber means the tradition my grandparents nurtured in me gets to live on with my daughters without needing to leave the neighborhood. It is worth every minute of the wait, and as an added bonus at the time of writing, they are offering a discount if you pay in cash!

Lovely space. The food was fresh enough and tasty but nothing excited me to eat here again. The food was not that hot temperature wise. I was hoping but not quite enough for me.

Beautiful place, huge, and nothing like it in the neighborhood. Big dim sum menu with the carts coming around. Everything looks tempting, especially the dessert cart. And I highly recommend the Sesame balls with purple potato and custard filling. So good! We had a big selection of Dim Sum: rice rolls, fried spring rolls, pork soup dumplings, chive and shrimp dumplings, rice in lotus leaf. The sesame balls were my favorite. My companion enjoyed the soup dumplings. I liked the surprises in the lotus leaf package. They just opened TODAY. So they're understandably getting their footing. The service will need a lot of refining. Everyone was very nice. But since I don't speak Chinese, communication was very challenging. Everything I asked about, they assumed I wanted, but I just wanted to know what something was that I was looking at (on the cart, or on the menu), or what was IN something, considering I have food restrictions. But I didn't try to talk to them about that. Even though it does say to tell your server if you have food allergies. I honestly don't know what they'd do if I said I couldn't eat gluten. Nothing on the menu is marked at all. But it's not my first dim sum rodeo, so I probably did OK with educated guesses. But if you're gluten free, I'd be careful. When you enter, and at the bar, there are HUGE water tanks with some MASSIVE King crabs, some Dungeness crabs, some small lobsters, and some of the biggest lobsters I've ever seen, and a few other fish. None seem to be offered on the dim sum menu. They have a lunch special, but your dish just comes with white rice. Nothing extra. Even a glass of tea (which they poured us without asking) is $1.5. This is NOT an inexpensive place. This is a $20 soup place, and lunch dishes range from $25 to $35 mostly. I look forward to seeing if Wu's can overcome the bad luck of this location and stick around for a while. Cheers!

Taking trash out while eating?!

Overall solid Chinese food & great location! I went for dinner, portions on the smaller side and of course pricey. My complaints are that the soup Dumplings didn't come with the soy sauce & ginger like DTF and seeing the gross dirty plates in the corner felt odd (see photo). This place will do well, clean bathrooms are a huge plus!

Noisy zoo. Food not worth the premium. Management couldn't care less about noise levels. We won't be back.

Complimentary tea is served for the table. I ordered the L2. Crispy Garlic Chicken, 102. Yin Yang Chow Mei Fun, 2. Har Gow and white rice on the side. The chicken was my absolute favorite! It was perfectly crispy and so tasty. The mei fun and har gow were wonderful. Service was spectacular and food arrived quickly. Overall, the chicken stole the show for me and I definitely will be returning to get another order of this.

There was a wait list, tons of reservations, and the whole place was hustling and bustling. The food smelled amazing, and the ambiance was lively and fun overall. We were excited to eat! We were walk-ins, so I appreciated that they were able to get us in. The hostess was running a very tight ship - very "no BS"/no nonsense ... and hey, I get it, it was crazy, but at times it erred a bit unnecessarily rude? It just left me feeling a bit off, but not the end of the world. Food-wise, we tried a lot of different things. The highlight was honestly the scallion pancakes. They were DELISH! Not too doughy, not too dry, and the vinegar dipping sauce was amazing (I know it's just the standard vinegar but dang it's so good). It was a classic really well executed. The steamed pork dumplings were also quite yummy. For our mains, we got the garlic baby bok choy, beef chow fun, and kung pao chicken. The beef chow fun looked amazing and we had heard really good things about it, but unfortunately it was a little dry and lacked flavor... just sort of bland? We ended up pouring some of the vinegar sauce over it, which helped, but I was a little disappointed because it looked so good. The baby bok choy was really loaded it up with garlic chunks and was also yummy and a good portion. It was juicy and had a great texture, but my only note was that it felt like it needed just a little more seasoning or salt? Overall, though, it was good. The kung pao chicken was INTENSE. I knew it'd be spicy, but truthfully it was my first time ever trying it and it was a tad difficult to eat without rice. The chicken thighs had a texture that felt a little gummy to me? I wished the chicken had been a bit more browned too. The peanuts and veggies rocked, but the sauce and chicken were huge misses for us. I typically would never send anything back, but my friend insisted as it was tough to enjoy. They did take our dish from the table... but then a manager brought it back and was a bit condescending towards us saying they didn't do that and everyone knows it's a spicy dish... which, I'm trying to be fair about because he didn't know it was my first time, but it just again felt unnecessarily rude. I hate wasting food, so we kept it and took it home rather than let it go to waste. I just thought the whole interaction was a little strange. Truly - I wasn't really looking to get something for free. We just didn't enjoy the dish and were trying to figure out what our options were and it basically felt like he just came over to make us feel small instead of problem solving together. Weird. I'm always one for second chances so I'm hoping to try it again, but I would highly recommend making a reservation to ensure a calmer experience.

Tasted good, but to me it wasn't so mind-blowing where I felt like it something I could only find at this specific restaurant. We also tried the berkshire pork and chive potstickers but they were too burnt on some sides for my liking. The oyster mushroom rice roll noodles were hit or miss depending on the bite, some bites were too salty and some were just right. The tiger shrimp with candied walnuts were good, but it just felt like such a small portion for the amount we got. I could argue that for most of the dishes honestly, however I am torn about this being a fair critique because you could argue that it's kinda racist to be like Chinese food should be cheap, so in some ways it's almost a form of protest to charge these prices for each dish, in which case I say hell yeah stick it to the man! Luckily my friend had treated me to my meal here so I wasn't upset by the bill, but I probably would have felt maybe a little like it wasn't worth it if I had to use my own money to pay for it. Overall though, great location with lots of dessert options in the area, and great service. My friend had just come from the airport and the staff checked her luggage somewhere else so it wouldn't take up so much room in the restaurant.

The service, however, sucked. They gave us another table's congee which we informed them we didn't order. And after our food arrived, we never saw the waitstaff again, until our check. I couldn't even get a refill on my water. And when the manager gave me my check she pressured me to give them the tips in cash and not charge it. I said fine but truthfully I tipped them more than they deserved.
