Awesome customer service from Kevin, we came in about 25 mins till closings. Kevin was cleaning up and making sure the isles were tidy and properly wallpapered. Helps us find the right size and really made our visit here a fantastic experience. Thank you WSS! read more

The service here are good and the workers here are kind, but it's hard finding good shoes that aren't over 100$

poor customer service the only person that shows some service is the security when you walk in that greets you. I asked for help for shoe sizes for my kids, and she seemed like she was bothered and then I told her that the knee she showed me is a shoe in display can I have one from the back due to the discoloration and scratch on the back she said no so I said ok and if I buy this pair is there at-least a 10% discount since it is obvious it has some damages, she said no. and to top it off she starts talking in Spanish to the other lady about what I said kinda talking smack so I start speaking Spanish too, and I left 4 boxes of shoes that I was going to purchase and instead drove off to the mall and got the best service there worth the drive to Shiek shoe store at carson mall And haven't been to this mall before. read more

This locations manager sucks I called and got left on hold never answered back got to the store and they have everyone waiting outside. You can only pick up curbside or wait in line to order your shoe then they have people trying on the shoes, what difference does it make if you let them in the store if they're still trying on the shoes? Get a better system I understand COVID is happening but seriously I've seen over 10 parties leave the parking lot because they don't want to wait, not much business but you're loosing out money! At least have someone walk thru the line and ask what they need assistance with? What if you don't even have the shoe they need and they have waited 20+ minutes just to talk to someone! Cmon man, you guys hiring? Bc I can give you many ideas in how to manage the place a little better. read more

Went to wss the manager was rude but the security was extremely helpful and so nice I didn't get his name but he should be manager his smile and friendly attitude would be the only reason I'd go back but the manager really rude she has items on the display for buy one get one 50% off and I explained they are displayed with the items I bought she didn't seem to care at all about that issue or the fact that I was upset about it not even an apology was issued how rude is that can't deal with that kinda of Customer service the only reason I give it 2 stars is for the security who was nice about all the issues I had and tried to address them for me ... Thank you to him (he was the African American guy) read more

WSS - Don't buy bogo unless you know it's an item on the list - Shoe Stores Near Me - Wilmington, California

The Manager at this store is really rude with customers and the employees. Every question I would try to ask her and right away she would answer yes or no without letting me finish the question. She was doing the same thing to the employee that was helping me she (the manager) wouldn't even let him talk. read more

WSS - Shoes pretty good deal here - Shoe Stores Near Me - Wilmington, California

Lady who apparently was the manager was rude and even arguing back unprofessionally back to me in front of the other guests even they seen how too she dealt with my brother and I he had bought me shoes not even within 24 hours we take them back but she asked if i wore them they were way to big on me 2 by 2 sizes i guess it ran bigger than originally what i purchase I had said okay didnt want to argue with her if shes saying no to exchanging them and all she did was say sorry so i had returned them to my brother who bought them for me and since he had purchased them for me he didn't think it was fair that we had bought shoes and they were brand new no damage and i had no choice to exchange for a smaller size when the ones i had i couldn't even walk in he said theres no way to get another size since my evidently didn't fit me but she said no " she even said she wore them " but he said there was no damage which there wasn't i wasn't even able to walk in the shoes he explained they didn't fit they still were in good condition so why wouldn't we be able to return them and he said customers always right but she was like no and kept making faces when we just asked kindly so as he left he explained how we would go to another store and they would take them back he was saying its not like shes a little kid and damaged them she replied to with well shes not a kid literally literally arguing over new shoes around other guests and her workers the guests even seen and were shocked too because how she was just standing there arguing back so since the customers not right we wont return to purchase anything from that store anymore where we both previously had gotten shoes from since its local but as soon as we went to a different store in Compton we were asked to exchange our shoes and he looked at them the guy in the entrance and was like of course go ahead and look around for your size like nothing and we were even helped out the workers were really sweet there and helped us get my shoe size it was 2 sizes down and they helped us get to the right size. This isnt the first time ive been in the store in wilmington where me and my family felt that they were rude but this time a manager which is really sad with all the ugly facea she made at us and just responded back to us snapping back without caring what we saw was right she just said well i can't hear the both of you and just straight up being rude but why? it wasnt even worth arguing about there was no damage at all she just was being rude which is really sad. im not the one to leave bad reviews but it definitely needed to be posted. Whenever my brother and I always go out too whenever theres a bad experience we dont complain because we worked in retail before and we understood certain positions and we like to be humble because why give people hard times for where they get paid to make themselves eat and provide. Hes a longshoreman now but hes always humble but we won't return back to that snouty managers store... The shoes that couldn't be returned were a size 5.5 and i needed a 4.5 surprisingly i guess they ran bigger i couldn't even wear the size 5.5 though i wore them on obviously but they didnt fit nor could i walk in them so i didn't entirely wear these the manager just evidently didn't care and wanted to argue her way from not helping me at all when they were just bought they were way too big to walk in but she didn't want to hear me out it was okay to take my money for them lol sorry manager. Thankful for the compton location unfortunately we had to go there and not to the local one but whatever! the security was nice though in wilmington to see how they were managed though compared to Compton on rosecrans was sad... They helped us out so much better with no stress and arguments in front of guests. read more

Incompetent. I had a feeling they wouldnt help or have the knowledge to help but tried to go in anyways. Unable to exchange from another store. Glad this isn't my local WSS . read more

I came in here to buy 2 pairs of high top chucks, the black on black ones and the optic white ones. I tried them on, and they both fit. When I took the shoes to the cashier, I decided to check the shoes I bought one more time because I like my shoes looking fresh, unless they're the black/white Chucks, which I like looking worn in, but I digress. Anyways, I looked the Optic Whites over, and I saw that the shoes in the box had small smudges here and there, and the soles of the shoes were already kind of worn in. Someone wearing a pair of Optic White Chucks must've came into the store "tried on" some Optic Whites, and switched their shoes with the new ones, leaving the old ones in the box I got. To make matters worse, that was the only box of size 10 Optic Whites they had left! To add insult to injury, the cashier tried to pin the switcheroo on me and tried to make me pay for the shoes, even though I told them that they look like they've been used already! How does that make sense? I came into the store wearing Vans, and they accused me of switching shoes? Chucks no less? I don't know why, but I still paid them for my Black/Black Chucks, but I don't think I'll be coming back soon. Watch out for the ghetto ass Banning High School kids switching shoes if you do decide to shop here despite my warning to you all! read more

No this place is very unprofessional. Not even 24hrs and I am back returning shoes because they didn't fit well and it not like I can do a marathon in the store to be sure if they fit well. So the security takes my shoe box and tell me to go get another and bring it to the counter to exchange. While I'm looking he then come back to where I am and say sorry unfortunately we can't take them back because they've been worn. Okay like so wearing them for less than an hour created wear and tear? Anyway I speak with the manager and she's like straight out no! So my experience with this place is that they are Not about customer service. If it was any other shoe place like footlocker or anyone! They would have helped a paying customer. They have lost a customer and I will tell everyone I know to specifically not go to this location. read more

Didn't feel like they were taking steps to promote safe shopping experiences. I saw multiple people not wearing their mask and nobody enforced anything. Many people weren't 6 feet apart. Seems like employees don't care. read more

WSS always has wide variety of shoes to chose from. I love to match with my 1 year old baby and they always have my size to match his.

Store manager is so rude Elvia. I placed an online order unfortunately my order was cancel but they did take a payment I call the customer service line the person who help me was very nice told me that they double check the order and notice they did take a payment and that they had the shoes in the store ready for me to pick up I got to the store and all I get is bad customer service with the manager thinking I was lying about my order. read more

Use to come here when I was a kid for shoes because it was a super deal. I knew that if I came here I could buy me two pairs of chucks for $36 bucks in other black or navy blue. But today thats all changed the place is just as expensive as the stores. So dont bother coming here and buy your shoes online for now on it will really save you some money. read more

In my previous visit, I had asked the lady in the blue shirt for help, she was rude and said wait for the cashiers to be done because she was on break. She went to the back and never came back. There was a boy with glasses . Poor guy was running the front and the floor by himself ! read more

Favorite WSS to go to always friendly staff and customer service. Need anything talk to elvia for excellent customer service!

Decided to stop in to purchase shoes for my son's preschool graduation and came across some great deals. We were assisted by Diego and boy is he awesome! He helped out my husband and I with our intentional single pair purchase, but when he let us know we had rewards available we ended up purchasing an additional pair of shoes for our other son. We spent a decent amount of money, and we were beyond happy with our purchases. We will definitely be back sooner than usual if we keep coming across Diego at the counter, because he is a major asset to your company and his excellent sales/customer service skills are something to be noted that will draw customers back more often! read more

The only reason I'm giving one star is because the security and staff working at the registers are very pleasant . We went to buy some items on Saturday afternoon, I paid with my credit card and as soon as it read approved the system turned off. When it came back on it said that it did not go thru. And was told I needed to be charged again. I had just signed the screen and it was approved, so I called my credit card company speak to a representative about recent transactions , just to be sure. Well sure enough she said it did go thru and even gave me the approval #. Well according to their system it had not ( but it was on my card already), so they said they could not let me walk out with my things because it would be like walking out with free merchandise . And that if I wanted them I had to pay again . The manager came out and he said the same thing , about it being their policy. But the thing is it was already charged to my credit card already , why was I going to pay again . I gave the manager the phone so that he could speak to the representative from the company and she told him the exact same thing. He refused , well after being there close to one hour and being incredibly stressed by the situation. My credit card company said that if I re-purchased the items or left them there that was my choice and that I could call my credit card company again in a couple of days to have the original purchase taken off .My husband ended up re-paying with our debit card, just so that we could leave already. Either way , we weren't getting anywhere with the management at that time. I don't know what is wrong with their system but it needs to be fixed. My items were payed for , I should not have been treated like I was trying to get them for free. read more

I called the store to ask if they have stock of the shoes I'm looking for then a lady answered so i asked about it then the lady replied EXCUSE ME?! With an attitude voice so i asked again nicely then she said give me a second then i waited for her about 5mins. Then i heard that someone touched the phone then suddenly hangs up! So i tried calling again then they didn't answer it. SO MUCH FOR AN ATTITUDE! Tsk disappointing. read more

Not a big of an option in style and sizes like the store in Hawthorne but definately like the pricing at WSS . I been getting a little addicted to WSS in the last few weeks. Groupon has had a few very great deal deals with WSS. I have bought 6 groupon coupons worth $40 for just $20. Definately a great deal. I will have to buy more when they have a another promo in groupon. Service is great. The only thing that i probably have to complain about is the return policy they only give you a 10 day full return with any purchase product which sucks. They do have a 30 day exchange policy but when they dont have the same style or size that really doesnt help. I am stuck with a pair of sandals that I will probably never use. No big deal they were only $20 i might gift wrap them and give them away sneaky status. shhhh... other then their mandatory policy im a happy customer. I even got $10 dollars off for mentioning Yelp. dont forget to mention Yelp to get a little discount off your bill. read more

Came to WSS in da hood. I've come here countless X's the staff is getting better. 2 my surprize they had just the shoes i liked 4 my kids in their sizes 2 days in a row. ;D Yeeah! First of all the staff is cool ( the dudes anyway) I was greeted at the door by security as I entered.,which was nice but I felt kinda messed up at first cuz I was going 2 return a shirt ( in a plastic shopping bag & I had a receipt of course) but soon as he greeted me he practically snatched the bag out my hand & asked if I was returning or exchanging the item. I said,"Yes" so he continued bringing it in toward himself as he explained I would have to leave it with him and he'd put it at the front desk. Then when I found what I wanted or was done shopping I can continue my transaction at that time.:/ ok i get it ppl jack stuff & I guess everyone is suspect! But felt a little insulted ( had to tell myself it's nothing personal cuz I do not look like the type 2 steel!! I was there 1 1/2 hr after a short while a guy asked if i was doing ok. I said I'm ok just seeing how these look ;) So he said," Ok I hope you find what your looking for & If you need me my name is .. & I can help you out ;D After a longer while a couple female employees just walked on by not once asked If I needed help( but i knew that as they never even aknowledge me ever since I been going there for years). & So i hunted down the dude & he gladly helped me.Then later They were all busy except the security guard so he walked me over to the size & style of other shoes I gained interest in.( made up for 1st impression & slight Diss);) At check out time the cashier was super nice and helpfull with my Q's. He checked me out quickly & wished me back soon. So, I gladly returned the next day for some more shoes. ;) the missing star is cuz the restroom was broken again! & the female workers ALWAYS ignore ppl & never offer ANY HELP!! Thanks WSS dudes for the friendliness & ALL the help!! read more

Dont bother ordering anything from them online. Was charged then told later out of stock wtf! Take it off the website then!
