I made an appt with WRTeknica yesterday to check the alignment on one of my cars - I had new suspension pieces installed, but apparently some of the hardware was set incorrectly, and the car felt sketchy at high speeds on the freeway. I thought my rear toe settings might be the problem, but I was more concerned that maybe my lower ball joints or inner tie rods might be worn out. The guys at WRT put my car on their state of the art alignment rack, and checked all the nuts and bolts in my lower suspension, and fixed my rear alignment settings. Also, they set up the car to handle based on my weight in the driver seat. Awesome!!! When I drove my car back to its storage facility, it felt like a night and day difference. I called this place to get some bushings pressed out and spherical bushings pressed back in and was told it would take two hour which is ridiculous at $250 an hour rate lol to do both control arms which would of cost me $500 !!??. I have over 23 years experience in the racing industry and have never heard someone charging $500 to replace two bushings. I removed the control arms myself I just did not have the press tool to complete the job. I called another place that charged me $50 per arm and got it done in 20 mins. I'm not trying to knock this place down but the pricing is excessive and the time it would take to do such a simple job is way over exaggerated. Their prices are extremely high and I buy race support all over the united states while racing in SCCA sanctioned events. The feel justified in charging nearly 50% more per day for race support than I have ever paid anywhere in US, and believe me their services are not better. The don't have to bring a truck full of tools as I am fully equipped with most spares and all tools for my car at the track including jack and extensive pit cart. No consideration for that.
