To make matters worse, my back/brake lights and blinkers weren't working. I have a go-to mechanic whom I trust with my life and my car's life. I have. never gone to anyone else to service my car. I would fly my car to him, wherever he may be...however, this time around, I decided to try this place, because this place had sooner availability, and I had to work. I came here SOLELY on previous yelp reviews and a prayer. Service: The man who owns this business, is Lloyd. He was the one who worked on my vehicle. I told him I prefer to pay out of pocket, if the price was fair. The price was fair. I thanked him and God for practically saving my hide. He communicated every step. He also allowed me to pay half, upfront, so that he could order my parts, so instead of having my car sit at his shop, unnecessarily, while we wait for my car parts, I was able to have my vehicle for an additional week, (while parts was being ordered). Total days in shop: 4 1/2. Quality: Lloyd purchased the new bumper, and placed it on my vehicle. It was like my vehicle never had a scratch. Perfect replacement! Then he figured out why my lights were no longer working. He immediately ordered the part and replaced it. I was expecting additional hundreds of dollars, added to my bill, but he kept the price for the parts and labor very fair. He even showed the damaged on my previous wire harness. Explained everything to me. Very knowledgable and does excellent body work. Value: I shared my quote with four other people. All were expecting that my damages would cost me thousands of dollars to fix. I am grateful for Lloyd's fair prices. Conclusion: God forbid I make a silly mistake like this again with my car, but in the event that I did hit something again, I will be coming back here. No need to look elsewhere. Because most consumers are not able to repair body damage to their own vehicles themselves, they place their trust in the individuals repairing their vehicle-- and hope that they have the skill, knowledge, and attention to detail to do it right. Ultimately, however, consumers are often left unaware of the true quality of a repair. Luckily, I have had the opportunity to learn that the work done by Steve Jr and his team at Buckingham Collision is top notch. So much so, actually, that when I had my recently repaired Jeep Grand Cherokee assessed at the Jeep dealership after being repaired at Buckingham collision, the used car sales manager commented repeatedly that whoever had done the repairs had done an absolutely outstanding job. And, as a result of the diligence and care put into every facet of the repair, the car value was higher than it would've been in any other circumstance. We've been fortunate in two unfortunate circumstances to have worked with Steve and his team. Both times, we were incredibly impressed by the level of detail and proactive communication that Steve provided every step of the way, the care that he put in to explaining the technical nature of the repairs to non-technical customers, the explanation he put in of the process involving insurance adjusters, car rentals, and other estimates-- and ultimately, the quality of the repairs done on our vehicle. Everything was completed with OEM parts, and the car was returned to us detailed inside and out. It is obvious on so many levels that Steve and his team take great pride in their work. Having a car repaired at a collision center is usually not a good circumstance, but we will recommend Buckingham Collision to everyone we can.
