Finally one coldly said "there is a card right there," and pointed, then turned back around as if it was too much of a bother to hand me a card, or even talk to me. A couple of weeks later I tried calling several times to see if I could make an appointment and left a couple of voicemails, sadly I never received a call back. She messes with my hair and looks at her watch and then says I don't know if I have enough time for all that. What? Ok, I said maybe I'll just go somewhere else? No she says I'll do my best. YES I should've left but I didn't. So she proceeds to bounce me back and forth from the sink to the chair adding bleach then toner then shampoo & rinsed, repeat toner and then oh no she's messed up the top, let's try again! I went in telling this woman I want cool, white no ash, no oranges, no yellows, no browns, no gray. So she lets me sit while her other two clients come in and she proceeds with them! All the while their salon dog hops up on my lap. Not a fan of small dogs, but I had a lab so it wasn't a big deal I just found that odd. So if you're allergic or afraid of dogs you might want to pass on this salon(?). Anyways long story short and 6 hours later I walked out with the same hair color as when I came in only shorter and completely fried! To be honest when I was looking at it before I left, it was bad but the color didn't seem horrendous in their lighting. But when I got outside to my car, OMG When i arrived home my husband asked if I changed my mind on the color? I cried.... y'all be the judge I am posting pics! I've covered my face as I'm extremely embarrassed! AVOID THIS PLACE!!!! I will be turning them into the DPOR! Now I have to wait at least 3 months to have someone try and fix my multi colored hair that has split ends, and is uneven. I called and talked with the owner Becky, all she kept saying was come back in for her to look at it. This is after I sent her several pics of my hair outside in the daylight. She was no help whatsoever. What are you going to do to fix my hair lady? Nothing. You can't put more product in it at this point! So Kim fried my hair and Urban Escapes basically stole $200 of my money! PATHETIC!!!

One thing that is consistently excellent is the cleanliness of the salon. It is always spotless. There is a very kind gentleman who goes around with a homemade cleaning cart and resets each station almost immediately after a client gets up. He sanitizes everything thoroughly, which really gives peace of mind. Services come with a complimentary beverage, which is a nice touch. Options include water, soda, wine, and beer. The gentlemen who work at the front desk are also extremely friendly, flexible, and always in good spirits. They're easy to talk to and willing to work with you if you have questions or need accommodations. Pedicures are one of my favorite services here. I usually get the Volcano pedicure, which includes a warm, scented neck wrap such a relaxing detail. The massage chairs are great, and I appreciate that they use a timer for the massages, so you're never shorted on time. I do usually ask them to turn the water a bit warmer during pedicures; I think they keep it cooler by default to avoid burning, which I understand and appreciate. Manicures are also very well done. I like that most technicians have their own individual stations, which helps keep things organized and personal. Many technicians also have Venmo or Cash App QR codes at their stations for tipping. If not, you'll need to tip in cash so keep that in mind. There is a card fee if you pay with a card, but there is an ATM located to the left of the front desk if you'd rather pull out cash and save a little. They offer a wide range of colors, styles, and techniques, so whether you're going for something simple or something more detailed, there are plenty of options to choose from. Overall, this salon has become my go-to, and I plan to keep coming back. Technicians Bim - Absolutely wonderful and hands-down the best at nail designs that I've seen.
