If you're curious about this school, please look elsewhere, because you'll mostly be teaching…read moreyourself if you take it online. I work a full time job, and could only dedicate my nights to the class. There was never someone around to help me walk through questions I had while I was studying, and often their resource forums were quiet whenever I would post, or would return with another student saying they had absolutely no clue either. There were moments during the day that I could secure a teacher's help, but once that passed I was again off on my own, and was even told by one student teacher "we don't give you all of the information, you should be able to find what you need on google." I did my best, but working mostly alone I was overwhelmed trying to scour other sites for answers they wouldn't provide me. Ultimately tired, and my relationships in shambles since I spent most of my free time working on this course, I discussed withdrawing. They tried really hard to not only keep me going in the program, but also started trying to sell me more classes! I turned them down and said it'd be better for everyone if I just left, and the representative I spoke with was amazingly kind about it. She guaranteed me that I wouldn't have to pay the full amount since I was leaving early, and it turns out I (after my deposit) would really only owe about 7-800$. They sent me agreements to sign, which I didn't understand very well, and they weren't willing to be very clear with me, so now I'm being told that I owe close to 4K still. I reached out to Coding Dojo, and they've ghosted me. Look, there were some great moments with teachers there, but ultimately they expect you to learn mostly on your own, and don't have a system that works for people with a full time job, even though they'll tell you they do. Plus once they get the money they want from you, they'll leave you on the curb feeling dirty and figuring it out on your own. Avoid this school. Don't be like me and save your $. Please.

I completed the IV Therapy & Blood Withdrawal Certification course at Los Angeles Career College,…read moreand I have to say--this place runs smoother than most hospital floors I've worked on. The staff was organized, check-in was easy, and the hybrid format made the whole process painless (unlike some IV attempts I've witnessed in real life). What really impressed me was how efficient everything was. Once I passed my exam, they handed me my certificate the same day--no waiting, no chasing emails, no mysterious "processing time." Just boom. Certified. I wish everything in healthcare worked that fast. Now for the real highlight: Instructor Steele Erickson. Steele is the kind of nursing instructor you secretly hope for but never expect to get. He breaks down IV therapy and blood withdrawal with such clarity and patience that even tricky techniques suddenly feel manageable. He teaches with a calm, supportive energy that makes everyone relax. He's incredibly knowledgeable, genuinely invested in every student, and somehow keeps the class both educational and entertaining. As someone with 25+ years in healthcare, I can confidently say instructors like Steele do not grow on trees. If you're considering getting your IV Certification, go to Los Angeles Career College and hope you get Steele Erickson as your instructor. You'll walk away confident, competent, and wondering why every nursing class can't be this smooth. Highly recommended!

Here's the same version with favoritism added:…read more I am writing anonymously as a recent CNA student and state skills test candidate at Los Angeles Career College. My California CNA skills exam was confirmed in the official TMU/Headmaster system, but days before the test the school emailed and told me it was cancelled and that it "would not take place" if I showed up. TMU told me my exam was still scheduled and even had to call the school to remind them they were required to test me. On test day there were other students testing at the site, even though the administrator had told me there was no exam and that exams would no longer be offered there, which left me feeling singled out and misled. Throughout the program, it often felt like some students received more support and opportunities than others, which gave me the impression of favoritism rather than equal treatment. The school promotes itself as professional and student‑focused, but the way my exam was handled did not feel fair or transparent. I recommend future students closely monitor their TMU account, save all confirmations, and be ready to advocate for themselves.

She explained everything in a way that actually made sense and was always patient and kind whenever I had questions. What really stood out to me was how supportive she was throughout the whole process. She checked in regularly, followed up when needed, and made sure I stayed on track, in a way that felt encouraging, not stressful. Overall, she made the entire admissions experience feel a lot less intimidating and something I could actually handle. I'm really grateful for her help getting started at WCU.

She helped me apply to multiple hospitals, fixed up my resume, and made sure I knew exactly what to expect during interviews. What meant the most was how she always checked up on me, making sure I was doing okay, reminding me about deadlines, and helping calm my nerves before interviews. She never made me feel like I was bothering her, and she always had good advice ready. Alla truly cares about her students, and you can feel it. I'm really grateful for all the support she gave me and how much time she put into helping me get ready for my career. He responds quickly and is genuinely willing to answer any questions. I was hesitant at first because of the parking situation, the price (WOW SO AFFORDABLE?!), and the location, but the program is on the state-approved list. After the class ended on the last day, we were given the exam links right away and were able to test without delays. Albert knows phlebotomy inside and out, and he teaches in a very compressed, straightforward way. Since I'm already in the medical field, a lot of the material felt familiar, and many of my classmates also had prior medical experience. What I appreciated most is that Albert wastes no time--he's very goal-oriented and focused on getting you trained, certified, and ready to move forward. You could tell he wants you to succeed! Before enrolling, I visited the location myself so I could understand the parking situation. It's a shared space, which is normal for smaller medical training programs. Schedule an appointment with Albert if you want to see the class! What matters most is that the school is state-approved and gives you what you need for the price, the tools, and the time commitment. Overall, I'm really glad I chose this program. It was efficient, straightforward, and didn't waste months of my time the way a community college phlebotomy course would have. It was absolutely the right choice for me.
