I attended CES College from Sept. 2018 to Dec 2019 for the LVN program. I'll start out by saying it was not easy. During my time at CES, they were making changes to policies and trying to see what would work best to make the school run smoother. It definitely made it a bit harder for some of us. We were used to a certain routine. But in life, we are going to run into those obstacles everyday. Especially in nursing! So I just went along with whatever was happening, vented and moved on. All I can say is you can't expect the instructors to teach you EVERYTHING! You have to go home and study. You have to put effort in. At clinicals, it's what you make it. Put yourself out there. They don't expect you to know everything. But you won't learn unless you put the effort! Nursing school is what you make it. It wasn't easy.. but I did it. Single mom. Obstacles. Working full time. Couldn't have done it without the support of my instructors pushing me! Telling me I'd be an amazing nurse. Also...With the support of my amazing classmates who I can call my friends today... I passed my NCLEX on the first try!! After it being postponed multiple times because of Covid. At the end of the day, I have to thank CES COLLEGE!!

CES is a wonderful educational institution that delivers a quality at a very reasonable price. There is no illusion, you have to put a lot of effort to make it through the program. Experience for yourself coherent academic programs that prioritize learning goals.

CES college was one of the best choices I've made . I looked into 5 different colleges before choosing this one to complete my vocational nursing. I choose this college because it was convenient for me as far as tuition and schedule. Mr. K is one of the best instructors I've had in all my years of schooling. He teaches with great passion and literally draws a mental picture of exactly what happens in the human body. He is amazing. Ms. Holden is great with teaching test taking strategies she also covers great content and explains everything you need to know for your upcoming tests. The clinical instructors are all very caring and help out with course content as well as applying what we learn in class to our clinical. Administration is also good, I graduated in May of 2020 and to this day they send us job opportunities and nclex review tips for those who have not taken their test. I have referred any students to CES. I hope they have the experience I had!! Thank you CES for making a difference in my life and helping me reach my goals!!

The entire process made me feel confident that I made the right decision in choosing WCU for my nursing education. I especially want to recognize David, my advisor, who has been absolutely exceptional. He is knowledgeable, patient, professional, and always willing to take the time to answer my questions and guide me through each step of the enrollment process. He made everything feel much less overwhelming and helped me feel comfortable and excited about starting this new chapter. It is very clear that David truly cares about his students and wants to see them succeed. My orientation experience made me even more excited to begin. Meeting staff members from different departments gave me such a positive feeling because I could see that there is an entire team ready to support, guide, and encourage students throughout their journey. I left orientation feeling like I would not be going through nursing school alone, but instead would have a strong support system behind me. I am incredibly excited to begin my nursing journey at West Coast University, and I cannot wait to see what the next two and a half years bring. I hope that when I complete my education and graduate, I will be back here writing another 5-star review about how wonderful my experience was from the very first day all the way through graduation. I completed the IV Therapy & Blood Withdrawal Certification course at Los Angeles Career College,…read moreand I have to say--this place runs smoother than most hospital floors I've worked on. The staff was organized, check-in was easy, and the hybrid format made the whole process painless (unlike some IV attempts I've witnessed in real life). What really impressed me was how efficient everything was. Once I passed my exam, they handed me my certificate the same day--no waiting, no chasing emails, no mysterious "processing time." Just boom. Certified. I wish everything in healthcare worked that fast. Now for the real highlight: Instructor Steele Erickson. Steele is the kind of nursing instructor you secretly hope for but never expect to get. He breaks down IV therapy and blood withdrawal with such clarity and patience that even tricky techniques suddenly feel manageable. He teaches with a calm, supportive energy that makes everyone relax. He's incredibly knowledgeable, genuinely invested in every student, and somehow keeps the class both educational and entertaining. As someone with 25+ years in healthcare, I can confidently say instructors like Steele do not grow on trees. If you're considering getting your IV Certification, go to Los Angeles Career College and hope you get Steele Erickson as your instructor. You'll walk away confident, competent, and wondering why every nursing class can't be this smooth. Highly recommended!

Life got in the way a couple of times during this portion of the class and I was able to talk to Mika and figure out a plan so that I wouldn't have to miss class. I also loved listening to her real life stories of working in nursing. The course I took was 5 weeks, 8 hours a day. The first two weeks were online. There is a lot of reading, a lot of quizzes, and several tests, but you get the hang of it quickly. The second week was practical where you learned the skills. I got pretty frustrated when I didn't get the skill right the first time, but the fact is that there are a lot of steps to the skills and these are brand new things that I'm learning. It all falls into place when you go into the clinical. You get to apply what you learned in class and in your practical learning. I especially loved my clinical rotations at the hospital. It gave me such a bigger perspective on the healthcare industry and patient care. I learned so much and discovered that I really liked working in ER. I look forward to applying everything I learned in my future career.
