Naturally, I'd give this school more so a 4.5, but I'm giving that extra half to get a 5 star ranking, and here's why! To put it simply, I feel like this school cares about its students till the very and even beyond when school is done and one has already obtained a job in nursing. They never stop asking you every once a while, "Hey, how are you doing? Is everything okay?", or," Hi, we have some job opportunities that may interest you, do you need help in finding a job?". Personally, I have been able to find a job and have other opportunities rather quickly. The demand for nurses is very real! But, that doesn't take away the fact that I appreciate everything that CES college has done or is currently doing, mind you, to ensure that I have a stable job and one that benefits me. I whole heartedly thank you! Now, of course there were some things that I did not fancy while being at CES, but mainly it was due to just the organization part. There were things thrown in at last minute, as well as some miscommunication betwix the students and teachers(but not much). I can see that CES learned from these mistakes and literally, right before I graduated in October/ December, I got wind that this school was trying to best on how they managed everything. Unfortunately, it wasn't that way for my class 100% of the time but there was still potential to survive in this program. About 85% success rate following this idea. I can see that CES now is taking action and letting students know what they need and how they should go about the obstacles that every nursing student requires to go through, to pass the program! The teachers in the program are a different story. They were all pleasant, and if one didn't get along with a staff member, it's okay. Some of these teachers need time to open up to the students in order to get the full relationship a student and teacher are able to achieve. It's vice versa for the student as well. These teachers were fantastic. Ms. Holden, Mr. K, Ms. Mariya, Ms. Adele and Ms. Amanda. I had no problems and I could ask each and every one of them questions and not feel embarrassed. They each had their methods of teaching, but over all it was successfully done on their parts and it couldn't have been done better. A big thank to Mr. K for teaching us and preparing us to adapt on our own when we switched over to the second half of the program with Ms. Holden. She is amazing I tell you! This teacher along with Mr. K are very, very knowledgeable. It blows my mind to see how much information they have. Truly, any student is lucky to come across these two and without a doubt, will pass NCLEX on the first go. Yes, they're that good! The clinical instructors have a huge part in this too. Indeed they have different methods to carry out the hands on stuff, but it's great to know an alternative way of accomplishing any nursing tasks on the job. Without the clinical instructors, I'd be lost on how to do a simple G-tube, or suctioning a trach- tube, etc. This is all vital to one's success, so thank you Ms. Adele, Ms. Mariya and Ms. Amanda! read more

I graduated from CES College in Sept 2014 and passed the NCLEX exam in December on my first try. I quite enjoyed the school and had visited numerous schools prior to admitting to CES. Ultimately, I signed up with CES because of the family approach regarding their staff and clinical rotations. The instructors and the DON care very much about your progression and do strive for each individual student. This is even more the case if the student puts forth 100% into their own education. I was blessed to work with Mr. K, Mr. E, Mrs. Cheryl, Mrs. Sondra and Ms. Howell throughout my program in theory as well as clinical. Each one brought their own unique experience to the program and all are committed to excellence. The clinical rotations were excellent. After speaking with other LVN's about their programs I became aware that not all LVN schools have rotations in Hospitals let alone the ER/ICU. In our program we had 6-8 months in those types of rotations along with skilled nursing facilities. After graduating I feel much more prepared for most clinical situations than I thought I would because of these excellent training opportunities. The most important thing is to listen to what the instructors are telling you to do in regards to studying and prepping for exams. If you start from the first module and keep at it you develop a strong foundation that will continue your success. The curriculum is difficult and requires a lot of outside study time but is worth it in the end. If you truly do what they ask you to do then the additional HESI exams (including the exit exam) will not be intimidating. You will pass and be ready for the NCLEX. In addition the school offers an ATI type of NCLEX preparation course after you graduate to help you get ready for the licensing exam. Please do this! It is free and part of your tuition and an excellent support to the work that CES has already done for you. After you tour other schools make sure to look into CES. I toured CES first and ultimately came back to sign up. The friends I've made there and the guidance from the instructors were easily the best part. This is an investment into our futures and the commitment to our education is backed up by CES and their quality education and great staff. read more

This is by far the worst school in California! Don't believe me call any other LVN SCHOOL and ask them what clinical sites they offer. CES DID NOT offer the best they barely make mediocre! When asked by many of there students why they are the ONLY school to not allow a second opportunity to pass EXIT EXAM there response is we have the right by law to make up our own rules. And make them up they sure did! The director of nurses leaves everything to be desired in a leader teacher and counselor. In fact as all of my fellow class mates and I became fully a wear of, this school has no clue on how to turn out bright will trained professionals! If you do not meet the libido requirements of said male director you are screwed! With next to no help in passing your weekly tests students drop like flys! And why should they care they still get paid! They change your supposed set schedule on you with little to no notice! Think you can attend here and keep a job? No way! The instructors are personal friends of our dear director with the same benefits. Aggressive, rude, un helpful! Save one... If you do have the unfortunate luck of being conned into attending this low bar institution she will be a breath of fresh air! The students are not reprimanded for disgusting behaviors it was like being in high school only with out any benefits at all! Again I strongly recommend ANY OTHER SCHOOL !!!! Especially if you feel as many of the other superior schools feel that you should be given the right to retest, have a set schedule and attend school in a safe caring environment where when they say it's like family there not just BS you to literally take your money and leave you with anger and disappointment! I hope I was able to save some of you from making a huge mistake ! Oh and one more very important thing pharmacology is a freaking joke! Nothing is gone over at all you get a book that's it! It was really not in tests or really on the finals you didn't need to know it with CES But you better believe state boards think you had full on pharmacology training!!! GOOD LUCK read more

Guys,before complaining about this school talk to students who are going any another schools. And then you will be very appreciate to CES! I am saying this as a former student of this college. This is very good school with very knowledgeable instructors. I don't know why some people are not happy with this school! I don't remember anyone who ever complain about nursing program. Famous Mr. K. is genius just how he does explain the chapters. And if someone has a question he stops right there on the question and explains everything regarding. If student doesn't understand he tries an another way. I went to Glendale Carrier College two months and then left that and moved to here CES. I was happy, i am happy.Why ? Because in Carrier College they are treating students as nothing.You are nothing there! Even not no one! Just a nothing! You can't enter the room if instructor grabbed the door handle and if even your step is in the door. You have to wait until the next brake. If you go restroom in the middle of the lecture you can't come back !!! You can't eat in the room ( Thats ok! Not big deal. i can understand that.) But you can't bring any drink if that not just see trough water IN THE PLASTIC DISPOSABLE BOTTLE, NO GLASS!!! You can't rise your hand if you don't understand lecture! You have to take appointment strict between 4 pm and 5 pm with your questions. So there is a 29 students with questions.Just thing about that. So what is that? Concentration camp? Or Army? We are adult people and we taking the loans being there.We are not in the high school just to spend the time. Ok.guys, read all of this here and compare with CES college and you will see difference. I attended CES from Sept 2018-December 2019. When I first started thinking about going to school for nursing I was hesitant, scared and indecisive. I couldn't find a school that fit with my full time job schedule. Then I came across CES, that was it. It fit perfectly with my schedule. Best decision I ever made. It wasn't easy at all and it was definitely a roller coaster with the multiple changes made during the program. But I had to do what I had to do. Not only did they provide great support but this school provided me with the tools for Nclex which I passed on the first try. Every instructor and staff pushes you and won't let you give up. Of course, I had to put that extra work/time on my part to pass, hours of studying before and after class, goodbye social life but all worth it. For example, on the first module I didn't pass the final exam by 2 points and I broke down and was questioning if nursing was for me. I will never forget how Mr. K came up to me and told me keep your head up, no crying and to keep studying and reviewing. That was the last final I ever failed. I passed every module final from there and Nclex. I also met wonderful people that I still keep in touch with today. I gained another family. Thank you CES! CES College was nothing short of an incredible experience that changed my life. I had no medical field experience when I came here and now I have a budding career. Mr. K puts it simple and plain for everyone: "Do as I tell you, and you will succeed". Mr. K is simply a brilliant mentor and teacher who gives his heart and soul to the school. CES also had some great clinical locations that I am proud to have worked with. I got plenty of time in the hospital setting in the med/surg floor, the ER, ICU, peds, SNF, and a memory care facility. I didn't realize until I talked to some other LVN schools how spoiled I was. I was also involved in their work/study program and met some amazing people and made great friendships. They always provided a place to study anytime and hooked us up with several online resources that prepared me for the NCLEX. Honestly, by the time I took NCLEX, the question format and knowledge base was so ingrained in me that I became worried because it felt like the test was too easy. It wasn't easy. It was a lot of studying. It took my weekend mornings for a year and a half. And I am grateful for every moment of it. 10/10 would recommend for anyone interested in becoming a Licensed Vocational Nurse. read more

I attended CES College and graduated in December 2019. My favorite part of attending CES College are the teachers, Mr K, Ms Holden, Ms Adele and all the clinical instructors. At first, it was hard having to adjust, especially having not gone to school for a while. However, I truly believe that the instructors, staff and teachers at CES College pushed me to become the best student I can possibly be as well as obtaining knowledge on Nursing. I am thankful to have been in such a motivating environment and having met the most hardworking people throughout my journey.Their teaching can be hard at times, but you are provided with reviews, study guides and they really prepare you for the NCLEX Exam. However, that being said, you have to also do your part in learning in order to succeed. Again, a special mention to Mr K because if it wasn't for him motivating me to keep studying hard and showing that he believes in my capabilities I wouldn't be where I am right now. CES college was one of the best choices I've made . I looked into 5 different colleges before choosing this one to complete my vocational nursing. I choose this college because it was convenient for me as far as tuition and schedule. Mr. K is one of the best instructors I've had in all my years of schooling. He teaches with great passion and literally draws a mental picture of exactly what happens in the human body. He is amazing. Ms. Holden is great with teaching test taking strategies she also covers great content and explains everything you need to know for your upcoming tests. The clinical instructors are all very caring and help out with course content as well as applying what we learn in class to our clinical. Administration is also good, I graduated in May of 2020 and to this day they send us job opportunities and nclex review tips for those who have not taken their test. i want to do another review of this school...being that my last was pretty short...first off school is what you make of it...times are hard and things get rough...sometimes schools can be such a pain...but overall school can change your life and outlook on things...i went to this school as a last resort...the medical field wasnt my dream...but schools sometimes open your eyes and realize some talents that you never knew you had...i came here a somewhat lost and depressed person to become a happy working and job fulfilling career as a nurse...i will say just like my other review... all schools have ups and downs...but the bigger picture has more in store if you allow it... my class and our instructors were the support and the inspiration i personally needed to change my outlook on life...there is the legendary mr k who not only has a passion to inspire but also has the passion to create awsome nurses...i started out doing this as a way to make money now im going to move foward and advance my career...and this is where it all started... read more

I passed my NCLEX VN on the first try, CES program was one of the best decisions in my professional career. I jump started from being CNA to LVN and now I'm pursuing my RN degree. What I loved about CES was their clinical site Mission Community Hospital and their teachers (especially mr K and Mrs Manny NP my clinical instructor). I have learned so much on the floor, medication administration, wound care, health assessments, patient care etc. Also, schedule was very 'doable', they had a weekend program and week/ day time program. After the program I felt prepared and confident to start my journey as a professional nurse. I strongly recommend CES for anyone who is motivated, perseverant and planning on life long career. There's plenty of jobs for nurses and actually you can work in very different settings like: clinics, hospitals, assistant livings or long term cares'. This place changed my life around 360 degrees:) The best decision I have ever made. When I was searching for an accredited college to get my Vocational nursing certificate, I came across CES ( community enhancement services) on the Fafsa site where students apply to get the financial aid . Prior to that I had numerous attempts at different colleges to figure out which one works best with my schedule and budget. For a single mom that had a full time job this was the best option for me. Not only did they have evening hours but also they had the best administrators, knowledgable instructors and very caring and dedicated to what they offer. They teach and explain all the necessary material to prepare the students to pass their NCLEX-PN and plan a bright future in the field of nursing. As a former student and a newly postgraduate, I have reached my goal and became a nurse all thanks to my instructors and school administrators. I graduated from the Medical Assistant program in October of 2013. When I walked into the school, I was greeted by a sweet lady named Lauren. She informed me about the medical assistant program and gave me a tour of the school. She told me I could sit in on the class for a bit, but I was too shy (they were giving injections - Yikes!) After taking my english and math placement test, I was enrolled in the program. The next week, it began. Not only did I learn to become very comfortable with receiving and giving injections, I looked forward to it! The program is SO much fun & is such a good learning experience. I wouldn't exchange it for anything. Upon graduating, I was presented with several externship opportunities and finished mine in three weeks. After, I received a job teaching electronic medical records (which is what I love). If you want to be treated like family by all the staff and students, want a good education with a high probability of getting a job afterwards, CES is for you. read more

Passed the NCLEX on my first try! Intense program, but so worth it! I am so thankful that I chose this school because it led me to meet Mr. K and Mrs. Mariya - two very exceptional people in this world. You will learn more than just nursing by being around them. They are authentic people that have hearts of gold. I went to Mr. K and tried to quit the program due to stress outside of school, I thought it was just unmanageable at the time, but he had faith I could see it through and I'm so glad he pushed me to complete!!! I cannot say enough good things about these two instructors - though everyone was great - they are literally some of my favorite people in the world! Mr. K mentioned several times about needing to eat or drink milk before taking NSAIDs to prevent ulcers and I had this specific question worded in different ways about 3 or 4 times on the NCLEX! The worst experience of my life. If you are a student with disabilities you are in looking in the wrong place for a school that will adhere to the ADA laws. Not only was Mr.K having an affair with one of his students but he allowed his relationship with this student to interfere with his responsibilities as a teacher and director. A gross abuse of power. Currently suing this "college" for damages and violations of California state section 504 as well as Government code section 11135 which prohibits discrimination against students with learning disabilities. To add insult to injury this prodominatly Armenian ran school is also discriminstive to Hispanic and latino students .... Go anywhere else! Contact me if you feel you were discriminated against for being any other race other than Armenian, A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT is being formed and set in motion! I graduated from Ces and I think it is a good school. The staff are very professional, and the teachers are great . I have to shout out to Ms Manny and Mr. Kay ( now the director).Mr Kay the director of the school who was my former teacher and in my opinion he was the best. They are serious about helping you graduate and obtaining your license. Its been two years since I've graduated, I passed the NCLEX and I am employed as a LVN. I felt it was a family like environment, that made it easy to come to school each day. I have and would recommended any of my friends and family to go to this school. If you have a negative experience at this school, its because you brought it on yourself. No one ever said Nursing school would be easy. while attending we are taught you must be flexible because that's what nursing us all about. I went through tough time while in school with almost loosing my mom but the instructors and other staff were always there to be supportive and push me to not give up. The clinical instructors always tried to get you to see the most educational yet awesome procedures that were being done. I personally got to watch two surgery's and many of my other classmates got the same and more. Because of Ces I was able to get my first job right after graduating because my class and Instructors had a great reputation in the Hospitals. I graduated as a LVN from CES. I greatly enjoyed meeting some amazing people along the way, there are some great instructors, Ms. Holden is amazing with theory teaching, and Ms Adele and Ms Mariya are so helpful and full of information during clinicals. There were a couple teachers who came with some struggles, but nobody said nursing school is easy! I passed my NCLEX on my first try and felt the school did a great job preparing me, even during the struggles that came with finishing up in the middle of a global pandemic, the school did great to make sure we graduated in time. After one and a half years, I am graduating the LVN program and could not be more content with the accomplishments this college has allowed me to achieve. Through in class lectures and hands on experience, our educators provided the knowledge we need to succeed in our careers.
