Since my original review, I have, as promised, gone back to try some of the other dishes. I have to say, everything about Wrapchic has improved since then.
I am a big fan of their Mutton Madrasi burrito - provided the server asks you what you'd like on it, and you don't mix in too much of the Mexican flavours. I find the meat plentiful and of good quality, and the Indian flavours excellent; but adding in (very mediocre) salsa just kills the taste and makes it no better than a collection of too-many-things in a burrito.
Of course, the point of Wrapchic is to "fuse" the flavours of Indian and Mexican, but in all honesty I find the Mexican part sorely lacking. Put your curry sauce, tasty meat, yoghurt, and rice onto a wrap however, and it's a winning combination. Truly delicious, and as mentioned previously, FILLING! I also enjoy their chicken wraposa (basically Indian food in a toastie, what's not to like?!) and I've tried their paneer version too.
The servers have on occasion been too busy or paying little attention to fulfil my actual requests, which is disappointing (how many times can you say NO salsa?) but on the whole, there have been more hits than misses, now. Oh, and a loyalty card makes everything better - I'm a regular now and for good reason - after a shaky start this is one of my favourite lunch spots in Soho. read more
