I stumbled upon this the first Sunday I was in London. I went out for a nice walk after recovering from a massive jet-lag related headache, and I was ready for some food. This was actually one of the only places I came upon within the mile or so I had walked that was actually open.
When you walk into Nani's you see a deli case full of delicious-looking sandwiches. The first time I came here I ordered a tuna sandwich that came with kernels of sweet corn, salad and chili sauce. I was a little skeptical about how this would turn out, especially considering the sandwich served pressed and warm. I was pleasantly surprised with my purchase. The addition of chili sauce was brilliant, and may be something I'll try when I get back to making sandwiches at home.
I stopped into Nani's again last Sunday. My boyfriend was in town visiting, and we both had a hankering for a delicious sandwich. It seemed like they had a bigger selection of sandwiches on my most recent visit, but I think it was just that I was feeling a little more awake. This time I went for the Italian chicken sandwich--a lightly breaded, thin piece of chicken with a light amount of tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. It seriously was as delicious as it sounds, and for £4.40, it's was a good deal.
The coffee here is also pretty good. I ordered a coffee, it came white, which I usually don't go for, but it was quite good.
I'll definitely be a repeat customer of this place while I'm in London. read more
