Wrap it up, wrap it in, let me begin by telling you I wish I had known about this place a long time ago. Once upon a time, this was a Pita Pit. And I love Pita Pit. I have many good college memories of late night Pita Pit outings, so it will always maintain a special place in my heart. When I saw that the space had converted from a Pita Pit to a Wrap it Up, I was under the impression that it was still Pita Pit, but maybe they had gone on a solo venture. I imagined that all of the pitas had slightly different names, and maybe they had considered changing the name to "Bread Hole". Nope, I had it all wrong. After a friend posted a falafel picture on Facebook, I had to come try it out. I was overwhelmed by the menu choices - everything looked delicious. The man working behind the counter said that they were best known for their chicken, and offered me a sample. I was hooked. Said man later told me that he's never lost a customer after offering them a sample of their chicken. I ended up getting the chicken plate, which had salad, hummus, pita bread, rice, and some other goodies. It was a large plate for about $10, and I admit I kept eating after I was already full. This is probably my new favorite Middle Eastern food place in Reno. The only downside (for me) was the lack of Coke products. All of my co-workers enjoyed this new find. Why oh why has it taken me so long to eat here....and would they mind if I just moved in and lived here? I know I was not born the Mediterranean BUT I am pretty sure I was Greek in another life and I am in love with their food. Honestly I never came in because I thought from the name they were just a sandwich place. I was craving Greek the other day and pulled out my YELP and low and behold Wrap It Up popped up. Thank you Yelp Gods....thank you Greek Gods....this place was fab!! The interior is kind of fast food like BUT the food is off the hook great! Friendly service and an even friendlier (manager/owner?) made the experience perfect. I ordered the Kefta Kabob which came with rice potatoes and hummus....so much I couldn't eat it all...at a very reasonable price. The food was fresh, hot and so tasty......how could you not love this restaurant? The joint was packed and now I know why. They have a pretty expansive menu and you get to watch them make your food....always interesting! They all made sure to thank us when we were leaving which always makes me feel appreciated. Delicious! I ordered the beef schwarma, which was generously sized. I'm not a fan of olives, so next time I'll ask them to leave them out. Very friendly staff who are interested to know if you like the food. My only minor complaint was that I wish the meat was served a tad bit hotter - it was lukewarm. The day the previous pita restaurant in this location closed, I must say I shed a tear...that was, until Wrap It Up came along, opening their glorious doors to save the day! As I walked in I was full of hope, hope that the wraps provided would be as delicious, if not more than the previous occupants... I was blown away by how flavorful their food is! First of all I must say, their Chicken Shawarma wraps are out of this world! The chicken is layered on a vertical spit roast and slow roasted this way, creating the most tender, juicy meat ever. The seasonings and spices they use to flavor their meats make for some of the best Shawarma around town. Watching them cut the meat off with their electric knife is quite entertaining for a boring afternoon! They add a garlic sauce and I ALWAYS ask for Tzatziki sauce too because well, who doesn't like a delicious cucumber yogurt sauce? Then I add all my must have toppings which for me are things like black olives, banana peppers, feta cheese, (their homemade cucumber relish is amazing by the way) so I get some of that too and I also always HAVE to get the pickled turnips! Funny Story: I recently went in and couldn't remember what they were called but just knew I wanted the pink pickled things!! One of the men was surprised that I knew this item was available, even though it wasn't on the line...(I am a regular...I know the goods!) he said, "Oh you know our items!" Then another man said, "If you can't remember just think...[as he pulled the turnips out of the cooler below and raised them up with a smile] TURN UP FOR WHAT!?" ...HA! My friend and I were laughing so hard I could barely remember what else I wanted on my wrap! Of course there is always Tahini sauce! I can't help it, all these sauces with this meat and their pickled creations make for one, out of this world, masterpiece of a wrap! Finally, while I have visited this place a few times now, I still hadn't tried their Baklava...and I am kicking myself in the rear now for not getting some EVERY time I go! If Baklava is a dessert you enjoy, you MUST try theirs, a rich, sweet pastry made of layers of Filo filled with chopped nuts, (I assume some pistachios involved based on the color of the nuts on top) sweetened and held together with some kind of syrup or honey...It is a perfect ending to a perfect Mediterranean, Greek style meal and I don't think I'll visit again without getting some of it! read more

A pit stop while running errands. I popped into this place because my tummy started grumbling and I knew that would end my errands if I didn't fill it up soon. I was excited for a traditional lamb gyro. I love tzatziki sauce and this one was perfection. I was excited to get various toppings from the fresh toppings bar until I saw what they actually looked like. The toppings were all mixed about and pieces of various toppings were in other bins. My OCD sees this and is immediately turned off. I said yes to tomatoes and lettuce because those were the only two bins not sullied by other toppings. This was disappointed and looked like it could all use a good clean up. The gyro was good but not outstanding. I would stop in here again if it was convenient but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. read more

I ran in here to do a quick take out order last week and was pleasantly surprised that the food was cooked to order and the portions were plentiful. I ordered a chicken kabob platter for myself and a mized schwarma for my BF. I didn't try his, but my order was delicious! The chicken was fresh and flavorful, served over a bed of rice with a few roasted potatoes on the side and a small cucumber and tomato salad. Yumm - and this is seriously THE BEST tsaziki sauce I have ever had in my life!!! OMG! Had I known it was so yummy I would have asked for extra. It's whipped and fluffy and amazing! Little Middle Eastern restaurant in a strip mall type area. Very generic no frills décor, but clean, and ample parking obviously. I've never seen it crowded, maybe because they don't advertise? I've been there 3 times, and I like it. The service is great and they are very gentle with "newbies" who come in thinking it's a Subway and it's not. I think the owner works there, I see the same guy every time I go. The menu extensive with a lot of choices for both carnivores, and vegetarians alike. I got the vegi platter the first time which I didn't love, but I came back and tried the vegi wrap and was hooked. Fresh ingredients, and made to order, you can even watch if you like. The wraps are $6 which is SO reasonable and a nice choice if you're on the go & in a hurry. The garlic sauce in the wrap makes it a bit messy, but oh-so-delicious! One of my favorite spots! Ali is the owner, so Ali makes the tastiest food in Reno, as does his brother who owns another Mediterranean restaurant. These guys know their stuff. My fist time here. I had a beef shawarma wrap. My wife had a falafel wrap. Both were delicious and tasted very fresh. The portions were huge and there was plenty of beef in mine. My wife loved the falafel and the sauce. The garlic sauce in the beef wrap was really good. The owners were very friendly and the food came out fairly quickly and you could smell it while it was being prepared. The restaurant was very clean and had a nice atmosphere. I really like eating at a locally owned restaurant where they really seem to care about the quality of their food. The owner came over to make sure we were enjoying our food and we chatted a little bit. You can tell he's proud of the food he prepares as he should be. Oh, we love this place so much! The Greek platter is always one of my favorites with dolmas, gyro meat, shawarma, rice, potatoes and salad. They include all the tahini and garlic sauce you need with some small pita slices on the side. My kids often get the lamb gyro wraps fully loaded with all the Greek salad fixings, feta, and tadziki(spelling??) sauce. They have homemade baklava and scenes from Turkey on the walls around the shop. They are alway friendly and happy to talk when it is is slow. I often order Felafel or dolmas on the side for extra snacks around the table. I could eat here every day. They have tons of regular wraps on the menu, but why not get the middle eastern dishes when you can. Anyone can make a basic wrap. They make amazing Mediterranean food right here in Reno! read more

Ordered and waited a long time for the food, then the customers who ordered after me got their food first and walked out happily. The lady cooking had a bad attitude and when she gave me my order she repeated it to me informing me the whole order was in the bag. I got my food so I was content and drove home 16min north. Upon coming home we noticed the foil was not a wrap we ordered. We had only gotten half of the order. I called the restaurant to see if there was a delivery option since I just drove back. And the owner said to me that the lady didn't know which order the wrap belonged too, and that I should have checked the order before leaving, as if it was my fault I didn't get my order correct. I asked for refund and he ignored my request. In times like these where most restaurants are offering delivery and curbside, this place doesn't care the least about making their customers happy. The food; it's a fast food type of mall joint, I didn't expect anything spectacular. Having grown up around real Greek food, I knew Wrap it Up would be like the McDonalds of good Greek food. However, I did not expect sub standard dry and tasteless meat, stale pita and soggy falafel "balls". Awful, non authentic Greek food. The biggest turn off is the people. I called to see if they were open, the owner (manager?) answered and was SO RUDE and unpleasant I almost didn't go. I did, to my dismay. This creep was so unpleasant and rude I almost walked out. I'm coming off surgery so it's hard for me to get around, hence I ordered to go. The few questions I had he was sooooo put out, with no one else waiting that he had to answer them. He told me to "just go sit down and your food will be ready", YOU CREEP! I wish this man could remember when he first opened and he was happy to have a business and serve delicious Greek food. I wish he could put himself of the position of people who spend their hard earned money and EXPECT a little dignity when they go into an establishment to spend it. He has lost his way. When my food came out, promptly, I asked the woman who gave it to me if she could make sure everything was inside, she grunted at me at walked away. I've ordered the gyro wrap, potatoes, and their pita with hummus! The gyro wrap was alright. I felt that it didn't have enough meat like it had before. I always get everything on it including feta cheese. The potatoes were alright as well. They were lacking a bit of depth in the flavor. The pita and hummus was sub par and lacked really any flavor. This is my favorite place to eat in Reno. It is a family business & the food reminds me of home. I came here on a bad day & the owner could tell I was feeling down, so he offered me the lamb shank platter that is not on the menu. I have been lucky to get it a few times. I understand that it's not an official item because it takes a few hours to roast a tray of them. I recommend the platters with fluffy yellow rice. Their toum "garlic sauce" is out of this world.
