It's lined with many types of businesses, clothing stores, beach souvenir shops, sit-down restaurants, and of course Duck Donuts. There's no limit on what you can do while on the boardwalk. The wildlife around is really cool to see - I saw three turtles perched on logs in just one short walk. The Ampitheater is clean and a fun place to enjoy shows hosted there. The boardwalk is a really great feature of the town that you have to take in when you're in OBX.

They go over and beyond to keep it a safe and enjoyable experience. They have a no feet on backs of chairs policy (which is a blessing. I have back and neck problems so having someone behind me kicking the seat is very painful) they also do walk throughs while the movie is going to respectfully tell the noisy disrespectful groups to be quiet and respectful. I still went there before the new changes, it's a friendly environment and the people who work there are fantastic humans!! I was so so scared when the new theater came to town that RCE would go out of business.

Fun with Goats came to McDonalds Garden Center in Virginia Beach. It was $10 to be able to play…read morewith the baby goats, and we had the best time! They give you a number and you get to go into the visiting area when your number group is called. Everyone was able to get a fair amount of time with the babies without it being too crowded this way. We only got to spend about 15 minutes with the goats but it was the highlight of my day! They are too cute! We also enjoyed learning about the goats and they are cared for from the staff. The staff were extremely nice! I am super excited to visit the actual farm in Moyock where u can play with the baby goats as well as sheep and assist with feeding them!

"Farmer Jen" is absolutely wonderful and makes everything so fun. The yoga classes are more goat than yoga and great for all ages. Everyone gets a chance with the baby goats and there are lots of photo ops. I have not yet visited their farm but it is on my list. No worries about the goats because the goats are treated very well.

Despite my short time today, I was amazed by the depth of the exhibits, which cover centuries of local history, from colonial colonization and Indigenous cultures to maritime heritage and contemporary municipal development. The museum's layout is expansive, with high ceilings and spacious galleries that invite deeper exploration. The museum has a ramp or stairs in the front to get to the entrance. The museum is large and is on two levels and covers all 13 of the Albemarle counties. (Northampton; Hertford; Dare; Bertie; Gates; Perquimans; Chowan; Pasquotank; Camden; Currituck; Washington; Tyrell; and Hyde), pretty much all of the northeast corner of the state. You can take the stairs up to the second level for a better look at the shad boat and quilts or use the elevator. Restrooms are located on both levels. The first floor had some traveling exhibits and the gift shop. The second floor had the permanent exhibits with the history of the area. I liked that the museum covered so many topics from the beginning to different periods of time from when Native Americans were in the region to the slavery and the Underground Railroad, Railroads; Automobiles; Firefighting; Farming; the World Wars and the Civil War; Civil Rights; the Vietnam War; the Coast Guard; different industries and tourism. The museum has many artifacts and information boards to read. The waterfowl exhibit with the bird decoys was great and showed the details of the carvings. The floating theatre inspired Show Boat. Hannah Crafts was inspiring. This museum showcases the importance of the Albemarle Sound and the region and they did a great job of preserving history and stories for future generations. I highly recommend visiting this wonderful museum.
