You've gotta stop in to this beautiful store! I'm a super crafty chick so I took a resin art class on my trip. Eric and Robert are so fun and friendly, very no-BS guys who tell it to you straight. They made the class super fun and we were always laughing. Given the time of year, there were only 3 of us in class so it was nearly 1-on-1 instruction. I learned so much! I came back the next day to pick up my mirror and was stunned at how beautiful it came out! Y'all got me into a new hobby! Thank you for such an awesome class! read more

Bottom Line: Large store full of locally made arts and crafts with some vintage items and other good finds sprinkled throughout. I stumbled upon Absolutely Outer Banks a handful of years ago and I was impressed with the selection of locally made arts and crafts. Ever since, this is my go to spot for legitimate and tasteful Outer Banks souvenirs. In addition to locally made items they also have some vintage items and even some new items for sale. One item that this store specializes in is really cool resin windows that are unique and exude happiness. Absolutely Outer Banks has artwork in all mediums and in all price points. They have jewelry, wood signs, candles, prints, glass work, textiles, metal work, etc.  On my most recent visit I enjoyed looking at a vintage pin ball machine and eyeing up the beautiful array of Fiestaware. There is plenty of opportunity for ooohhhing and ahhhing.  The owner is super friendly so that adds to the overall great experience. We come down to the Outer Banks NC every year, and every year, we can't wait to stop in a see Robert at the Absolutely Outer Banks. We just love the selection of local art and trinkets we find to bring home for ourselves and as gifts for friends and family. Also at the top of the list are the classes taught by Robert himself. He is full of personality and really makes it fun for everyone. I have attached some of our projects from the class we took on Thursday night when he taught us to make waves with resin. I was so scared that this place was closed as we drove up. We had the WORST weather imaginable for a first trip to the outer banks! It was cold, dark and rainy the whole frikkin week! So you can imagine why I wanted it to be open! It was open thankfully and it is a humongous space. The gentleman who runs it was the only other person in there. He is also the artist who did the resin work in there! He also has classes one day a month, I remember it was a Thursday but don't remember which! There are so many beautiful things here! We got a beautiful frosted glass bottle lamp, a night light with shells and a wreath made with oyster shells! I highly recommend stopping here and please be responsible and wear a mask! read more

I went to this local art shop and purchased several gifts. I went back because a crystal was broken. It wasn't broken when I put it on the counter. An elderly lady approached me. I explained what happened. She opened her eyes wide, shrugged her shoulders and asked. "WHAT DO U WANT ME TO DO". I'm local. I will NEVER recommend Absolutely Outer Banks. read more

This place has some truly pretty pieces. However the owners were not friendly at all. As I browsed they never acknowledged that I was in the store. I was going to purchase a glass window piece of art. (79.00). My daughter needed to use the restroom. They would not allow her to use theirs. So I feel like if your too good to let my child use your toilet I'm too good to spend my hard earned cash at your store. I feel like they snub tourist. read more

An artists collective shop. Many artists, many styles, many types of art from the practical to the purely decorative Nd every price point. If you like to bring home a souvenir, buy a thank you gift, bring a bit of your trip back or simply like to collect there is absolutely something for every pocketbook, taste and style. The gentleman behind the desk the morning I was there was so sweet and so informative about the art, artists and what they do. My only regret in going to Absolutely Outerbanks is not buying one of the walled glass pieces. read more

We were just in Nags Head for a vacation and wanted to pick up a thank you present for the lady who invited us for being so hospitable to us all. We stopped in here because we liked the looks of the place from the outside and were so happy we went in. The items for sale are handcrafted by artists and so beautiful! Everything was unique and special, well laid out, and the prices were fair for the quality offered. The young woman manning the store was very warm and friendly. We found a beautiful hand-blown glass octopus wine-stopper and it was just perfect. Fabulous store and great experience. Honestly, I had to keep control of myself so I didn't buy 10 things for me too. We will be back for sure! read more

Absolutely amazing owners and shop! Deb (which can usually be found in Nags Head) and her husband (who can usually be found in Duck) are outstanding! We have purchased many signs and artwork while visiting our home in duck and have even gotten items shipped home when not there for gifts! Deb's husband has already contacted her at the Nags Head store and had her text him pics while we were at the Duck Store and Deb has already texted and emailed me pics of new products when they come in when I am not in the OBX! An absolute must stop when visiting the OBX, not just for their smiling faces and wonderful personalized service, but one of a kind gifts make it an even better experience! read more

Such a fantastic store! Stocked with works from local artisans ranging from basic items to truly unique finds. Each time you go in (even if it's 2 days apart) you will see something new!
