There's a bit more space on the main floor, though maybe it's my own imagination. There's nothing downstairs, it used to be for all the 50% off goods but it sounds like they're going to rent that out for players to run tabletop games and such. (There is a space in front facing the street displaying 50% off books, of course just those with the sticker.) The guy running the place seems nice, it's still bright and vibey, and it's worth going to. Oh, don't remember if it was there before but there's definitely an old-school arcade game in the corner to play. (X-Men? Wolverine? Avengers? I forget.) Wish I had more time to look around but I was on the clock, but I managed to get some things. This is more for newer comics and action figures, etc., which is fine. They have plenty of comic compilation softcovers as well. Admittedly I'm more a casual comic book person but I enjoyed going there and it's really close to Safeway, restaurants, and the like.

This large store is filled with antique tables and chairs, inviting you to sit down and play one of their hundreds of testable board games. An upstairs area with an even grander table is ideal for hosting D&D sessions. Any time you come to Omnihedral, expect to hear the sounds of rolling dice and cheering players. Omnihedral's large walls are littered with every board game under the sun, including rarer kickstarter games that might not even be available for public commercial purchase. They sell games and accessories, plushies and wearables, little gifts and large pieces of decoration you can take home. They also sell a variety of 3D printed goods. Last year, I purchased a christmas tree ornament of a mimic that I still cherish. If you're looking for something interesting and rare, ask one of the employees and they'll point you to something unique, like a christmas tree dice holder that doubles as a dice tower. Prices are higher than what you'd expect at a brand store such as Walmart or Target, but you get so much more variety to choose from with games and other items you cannot find anywhere else. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable-- my friend and I spent a few hours there and we were made to feel quite welcome in doing so. You may bring your own doll into the store to try on wigs and clothes. The staff have been in the doll business for quite some time, so they know their stuff! In addition to the shop, they host regular trunk shows and contests as well-- just sign up for the event invites with your email. Layaway and online ordering are also offered, which are huge pluses. We drove quite a way to get to Fabric Friends and Dolls, and I'd go back in a heartbeat. My new happy place!

It was a bit of a drive, but a beautiful one driving through some picturesque scenery and some farmland. The shop itself is located in a small shopping center, with a 7-11 and other small businesses. Our GPS directed us slightly furhter down the road, overshooting the store location, so please watch out for that if you are driving there with GPS. At first it seemed like the shop staff were watching us closely, but I can't blame them. Their store has some expensive wares, and dolls that are literally works of art. But once my friend took her dolls out of the case, the shop owners were extremely helpful and kind, making conversation with us and telling us what was around the shop. They have pretty much anything you can think of for asian ball-jointed dolls: full sets of the dolls themselves, clothing, wigs, shoes, furniture, accessories, tools for maintenance, everything! And they carry all sorts of popular brands that are big in the BJD community, including Dollzone, Luts, Ringdoll and Soul Doll to name a few. They carry many popular, well-known clothing and wig brands as well, including Dollheart and Leeke. One of the owners told me that occasionally, they host meet-ups in the store with scavenger hunts and contests, so doll enthusiasts were encouraged to attend. If you visit the store and give the owners your e-mail address, they will notify you of upcoming events. It was certainly very tempting being in this store. It reminded me of how great the BJD community is, and the creativity and passion that go into these beautiful dolls. I love small businesses too, so I only wish them the best and want to give them my full support!

I recently visited Arcana's Video Games Store after driving a considerable distance through heavy…read moretraffic because of the positive reviews I had read and the information on their website indicating that they accept trade-ins and support multiple video game platforms. The website even displays logos for the major gaming companies, which gave me confidence that my items would be considered. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. I brought two Xbox systems to trade in: an Xbox One X White Special Edition and an Xbox One S with a 1TB hard drive. After arriving, the employee informed me that they were no longer accepting Xbox trade-ins because Xbox products were "not selling well." He also mentioned that I should have called ahead first. This was surprising, as there was no indication of this policy change on their website, which clearly indicate that trade-ins are accepted and it was the main reasons I made the long trip to the store. During the interaction, I also noticed an Xbox One console for sale in the store. When I mentioned this, the employee explained that it was a special edition. I responded that, given the price it was listed at, it might be difficult to sell. Additionally, after briefly inspecting my systems, the employee incorrectly stated that my Xbox One X was a digital edition. I had to point out that it clearly has a disc drive and is in fact the white special edition model. Overall, the experience felt dismissive and unprofessional, especially after explaining that I had driven a long distance specifically because the store advertised trade-ins. If the store has changed its trade-in policies, it would be very helpful to update that information online so customers do not waste their time making unnecessary trips. This was my first experience with Arcana's, and unfortunately it will likely be my last.
