Great Chinese Takeout!…read more Ordered the black pepper beef, General Tso's chicken, fried rice, and spicy wontons, and everything looked delicious! The black pepper beef came with plenty of onions and green onions, coated in a savory, peppery sauce. The General Tso's chicken had a rich, glossy sauce that looked sweet and flavorful, with dried red chilies adding a nice touch. The fried rice was loaded with peas, carrots, egg, and bits of meat, making it a great side to go with the entrees. The spicy wontons with chili oil, sesame seeds, and green onions were another nice addition. Overall, a satisfying takeout spread with a good variety of flavors. Everything was nicely packed and made for a great meal. Would definitely consider ordering again!

The truffle wagyu fried rice was a standout, with savory wagyu beef and a rich truffle aroma. The beef noodle soup had a flavorful, spicy broth with tender beef and fresh greens. The colorful soup dumplings were another highlight, with a variety of eye-catching colors and flavors. The dining experience was enjoyable, and the staff helped make the visit pleasant. The meal was a great opportunity to try several different dishes and share them at the table. The restaurant has a cozy, casual atmosphere with warm wooden tables and traditional bamboo steamers that add charm to the dining experience. The presentation of the dishes makes the meal feel even more special. Overall, a great spot for Chinese comfort food, flavorful noodles, and creative dumplings. I'd definitely come back to explore more of the menu!

More affordable option than A+ Hong Kong Kitchen, not sure if they're related, but quality seems to…read morebe similar. So value wise this place earned the full stars from me, as I liked my past experiences in the Kitchen, but the Restaurant comes out ahead with pricing. I have been craving baked pork chop with rice over tomato sauce and cheese, and this place delivers. Definitely not cheap as I paid north of $20 for it, almost double what I usually pay outside of Seattle, but there's barely any good HK cafes out here so this will do. For the baked pork chop rice here, I liked the baked cheese that adds additional flavor, and the pork has no fat so I can just easily consume all the pieces. The rice is okay, but texture is good. The tomato sauce is apparent and helps with the overall flavors of the dish. I liked that for takeout, they put it in a foil bowl to keep most of the food warm.

Chicken wings have no taste. The milk tea may be ok and the western toast is normal because that…read morerequires no skills. The satay beef noodle and preserved mustard green shredded pork noodles are bad. The satay one is 100% not Hong Kong style. The preserved mustard green shredded pork one is blant. Food comes out slow. The decoration is ok to trick you into believing they are Hong Kong style. But they are not. It's only the chef's own style.

This is Seattle's oldest Chinese restaurant, opening in 1935 and being the place that Bruce Lee…read morefrequented at and Anthony Bourdain visited. You can feel that once you walk in; everything's very old-school with celebrity photos on the walls, newspaper articles displayed around the walls of the waiting room, Chinese currency plastered near the front of an area that looks like a bar, and numerous run-down four-tops and booths in a semi-brightly lit dining area that take you back in time. I got here with my foodie friend around 5:20pm after an extremely Seattle-centric Seahawks win against the Los Angles Chargers, and were quoted a 25-minute wait as every seat was filled and potential patrons sat in the waiting area. As if you couldn't get any more Seattle-based here, you can find some Seahawks logos from back then in the waiting area. Noise levels here are generally a little loud but sound doesn't reverberate much. Staff were all around the place getting orders in, bussing tables and seating patrons as tables cleared up, so it took a little for us to get our order in. Menu consists of many items organized by protein and type of carb. I have already been here once before doing Yelp reviews and ordered both their fried chicken wings/thighs - literally the best in Chinatown - and longevity noodles (e-noodles back then 2 years ago when I had it). For this visit, my foodie friend and I split the following: - Beef chow fun (乾炒牛河): this is a very easy dish to mess up despite the simple ingredients. You can't stir the noodles for too long or they'll come apart, the beef can't be cooked for too long or else it'll be too hard to chew, and you can't add too much oil or it's gonna be very uncomfortable eating it and the ingredients might stick together. Thankfully, the dish here was cooked perfectly in all three aspects. They use beansprouts here, and use only the white part of the scallions for this dish. - Crab meat fried rice (蟹肉炒飯): pretty simple fried rice with crab meat, green onions, egg and beansprouts. Rice was a little dry and hard but that's probably just day-old rice like the best fried rice should be using. It's clean and filling, though I wish there was more crab meat. i had a really nice meal here! We ended up not getting their fried chicken since we weren't overly hungry, but I highly recommend getting it on your first or even non-first visit here along with any other dishes that sound appetizing. The interior is definitely more cramped compared to similar restaurants in Chinatown, but it holds a lot of history and charm to pass on!

I went here after seeing Kenji Lopez-Alt talk about it here: https://youtu.be/DUGgSpdo2TU. He…read morementioned that the chow fun in particular is great. That it's hard to do chow fun well and this place does, getting the wok hei right and everything. I didn't find that to be the case though. The chow fun actually seemed bland to me. I didn't notice that smoky wok hei flavor, I felt that it was underseasoned, and I would have appreciated more chewiness and crispy bits on the noodles. As for the oyster beef, it's supposedly a customer favorite but yeah, I wasn't really a fan. Very "goopy" and starchy. Underseasoned. Not much "punch" in terms of flavor. The beef was meh.
