Came away with two sets of earring, a beautiful satchel handbag and a fabulous mens shirt. If we had the time, we would have certainly purchased more! The woman behind the counter was lovely as well! A true find!

It's set up very nicely with lots of great items everywhere in all sorts of nooks and crannies displayed on interesting wonderful items. It's also pretty big so you can take your time to walk around and see everything. It's a fun boutique all in all. My friend and I walked in and the girl behind the counter was on her phone the whole time looking down and did not look up once. Ok, that's fine we don't always need a greeting when walking into a shop. However, there are lots of delicate items and I would think you would want to check in to see if the customer has any questions or want to see any of the items that are placed inside the display cases that have to be opened. There was silence until my friend asked if one of the items were vermeil gold or gold plated. She had no idea and was a bit taken aback by the question but then got up and went behind to look at some sort of book. So we figured she must be looking it up. We walk around some more and about a good 20 mins later we come back and ask her did you find out and her response was, "what?" This time I asked the same question and she responds that she doesn't know and she was just looking up prices. We never asked about prices. It was just so weird and obviously apparent she did not care and was not the owner. All I kept thinking was only if the owner knew how she was handling their store. We did end up purchasing items because like I said earlier they have some wonderful items but the customer service, rather lack thereof was just ridiculous.

They carry mostly women's clothing from the 60's-80's, and have a lovely range of stonewashed denim jackets that would make Madonna proud to cute and quirky minidresses that would look at home on the Mary Tyler Moore Show (okay, I sound old!) Admittedly, Rock Candy Vintage isn't the Goodwill or Savers, and you'll be paying quite a bit for the garments sold here. However, the quality is very good, especially for the items from the 60's and 70's, considering how old the pieces are. Feel free to splurge - it's super worth it, especially when you think about what other vintage stores that sell clothing from the same eras are like, quality wise. If you're ballin' on a budget, check out the affordable selection of unique enamel pins, iron on patches, and feminist-friendly tote bags, all which come in at less that $20, but are equally as fabulous as their pricier cousins across the racks. I can't wait to come back for a dress when I have more money! I guess I'll have to settle for coveting the enamel pin with the TV Dinner on it (I told you, I'm old!) for now!

The person I dealt with was rude and unprofessional. STRONGLY ADVISE that you DO NOT shop here. I purchased a dress for an event at their store, which required tailoring. I didn't have any trouble when I bought the dress, with the exception of the employee almost losing my credit card and telling me I didn't give her my card when it was in full sight on the cash register. When I returned later for tailoring, the person that was "helping me" (the same person that almost lost my credit card) did not listen to my request; she had her own agenda regarding what she would do to alter my dress and then proceeded to tell me that I was "confused, didn't know what I was talking about, taking up too much of her time and in her store too long"; I said "I can't believe this is how you treat your customers"; her response was: "I just sold someone a $1000 dress today". I was originally quoted a price for tailoring that she said the employee who quoted me that "gave me the wrong information"; she was asking 1 1/2 times that price. Obviously, I left without leaving the dress there. After reading the other reviews, it looks like I dodged a bullet. Who knows how they would have butchered my dress and I doubt I would have received it back in time for the event. You are able to find the same type of dresses that are better quality at "Stacees" online. Stacees not only will get you the same dress, but it is half the price of what Chic Boutique charges and fitted to your specific measurements, therefore no need for additional money spent on tailoring... plus, the customer service at Stacees is stellar and accommodating. I ended up finding Stacees afterwards, to purchase a dress for my daughter, and they made sure the dress was perfectly sized and arrived with time to spare. I had the dress I bought at Chic Boutique, altered at "Tailorland" (who I would give 5 stars to!) in Newburgh, NY and they did amazing work! I told them exactly what I wanted and they pinned the dress all in a matter of 5 minutes. They did exactly what I requested with no questions asked for even less than the original (lowest) price. Moral of the story.. run from Chic Boutique.
