I had a 2:00 PM appointment with Ryan and showed up early at 1:55 PM, but wasn't greeted or acknowledged like usual. I came in for a gel pedicure and a fill on my full set, Ryan was supposed to do my fill, and I wanted a simple French tip and leopard print on two nails. At 2:00, I was seated for my pedicure and patiently waited, assuming Ryan would join me once he finished. Then his 2:30 client arrived, and instead of having her wait, he skipped me and started working on her and her mother. The manager (or owner) came over to tell me that Ryan "couldn't" do my fill because he was booked, even though I clearly had a 2:00 appointment. I ended up with patchy French tips and leopard print that looks more like random polka dots. I paid $137 for my pedicure and fill, not including tips, and drove an hour to get here. I always pay cash and tip well, but apparently that doesn't matter. I was completely brushed aside for another client, and that's unacceptable. I came here to get a full set and pedicure. The technician who did my fill cut my nails so short that I literally had nothing left. These were my natural nails which I put acrylic over so they don't break. Before the technician started I showed her a picture which was exactly what I wanted. After she cut my nails to where there was no length left I told her to stop and leave my nails alone. No one came to make it right at all the staff didn't care. Why they chose to have inexperienced technicians service clients I don't know. I'm so upset on the verge of tears . I will never come back here again. I'm only giving one star because I have too. I'm very disappointed with this place. I've come here a few times before and honestly have had bad service, but I never left a review because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, today was the tip of the iceberg. I came in for a mani and pedi with French gel tips. I believe my nail tech was Tina (tall, skinny, bangs). This was actually the second time I've gotten her, and both times were very similar experiences. She was clearly rushing through the manicure, and when she asked if it was okay and I requested that she fix it, she got visibly upset. She actually pushed my hand into the UV light, tapped it, and told me "hurry up." She then quickly tried to backtrack and said, "sorry, it's because other people are waiting"... but there was nobody waiting. It just felt like she didn't want to admit the work wasn't being done well. Every time I asked her to smooth out the French tips, she looked annoyed and would start speaking in her language to the lady doing my toes. It got to the point where I stopped asking her to fix things because I felt embarrassed for even pointing out that the nails weren't right. At one point, she literally just scratched off the French from one nail and slapped on a new tip without fixing the base underneath. For how much we're paying, this kind of rushed, sloppy service is unacceptable. I didn't end up tipping because I felt so uncomfortable with her attitude and the quality of the work. To be fair, the woman who did my pedicure was wonderful--she took her time, was kind, and made sure each toe was smooth and clean. That level of care was the complete opposite of what I got from Tina. Overall, I left feeling disappointed and frustrated. Customers shouldn't feel like they're a burden for simply asking their nails to look neat, especially when we're paying good money for the service. read more

I have been going to World Nails for a few years now, but recently have had poor services. These pictures were taken a few days apart. Back story to this: I initially went in for a pedi and a fill in(existing nail finish was gel). The person(didn't get his name; looked unfamiliar so he may be a new hire; wears glasses) who worked on my mani did a horrible job and took double the time that it normally takes to complete a fill in. There were missed spots on the French tips and it was unevenly coated. Other nail techs could tell that it was a horrible job just by their body language and facial expressions. When he finally got done, I expressed to a tech that I was not happy with the outcome so another nail tech completely redone it in what felt like five minutes. She rushed the whole touch up(she was wearing a black hoodie with an actual teddy bear secured into the front pocket of the hoodie). It looked good immediately after, but literally by the end of the next day, it started chipping away! Mind you, I requested and paid for gel finish so it's not supposed to chip away this quickly, if at all! Needless to say, I do not recommend this shop and will not return here. I paid $86 plus a $20 tip for just my service(mani fill in + pedi) alone and this is what I get in return. This is bad business. They just lost a loyal customer! read more

This nail salon is beautifully decorated and clean. Upon arrival, you feel welcomed as you are greeted and acknowledged. While the refrigerators are usually stocked with water and wine, they seem to be down at the moment. Fortunately, the salon is conveniently located next to a Starbucks, so most customers come prepared. All of the staff do a wonderful job, but I can specifically vouch for my favorites, Ms. Paula and the owner, Ms. Tina. Paula is incredibly meticulous (although she only worked on my feet this time). She knows I'm quite picky, but my nails always look perfect. She's also very sweet and polite! Tina did my nails when I had tips, and she was not only efficient but also talented. Just show her a picture of anything you want, and she will replicate it perfectly. Whether it's coffin, square-round, or ballerina shapes, she never misses. I went this time without an appointment because I recently relocated, which I do NOT recommend. This salon is popular and tends to be packed, so unless you have time to spare, be sure to call ahead! I live in Memphis, and I pay $80 just for my toes, so trust me when I say that the prices here are great. I paid $59 and tipped $15 to my manicure girl and $15 to my pedicure girl. In total $89. I've waited three services before writing my review. After this last service I think more people need to be warned. My type of service is a manicure and pedicure with regular polish. I use to get gel and acrylics on the regular but switched over 2 years ago. It's understandable that regular polish only lasts so long, but it certainly should not chip after one day. I came back to the salon to show them the damage and and also to my toes. I think us girls know that the hands may chip faster but the toes usually last a very long time without chipping. The response I received was less than friendly. They began to talk in their native language and could understand they were blaming me and saying that regular polish only lasts one day. I stepped in and asked them to please not do that because I've had other polishes that simply don't do that. Polish doesn't last because it's either bad polish or they don't out the top coat on correctly over the entire nail. They started to give me attitude but I maintained my composure, kindly asked them to just take the polish off and if I could please speak with the owner because she was here the day I got serviced. One of the girls rolls her eyes at me and says "she's not here" so I ask okay when will she come in? The same girl says "she's not in today" and walked away. I said I understood and would like to know when she would be in. They ignored me. I asked this a total of 4 times and they all pretended I wasn't speaking but continued to talk to each other in their native language. I waited. The girls that were assisting me went to the back and never came back out. I waited longer. Finally I spoke to the room "so? When is she coming back?" One of the girls that was doing a pedicure was very kind and told me she would be back Friday around noon and that would be a good time. Once I walked out I stood by the door to start writing this review, I guess they couldn't see me nd began to laugh and talk poorly of me with the other clients that were there. It's not the workers problem if the quality of the polish is bad. The problem is the terrible customer service, the attitude, the disrespect and disregard for my questions or concerns, the belittlement, and the entitled attitude. In any other nail salon, they will know that it's the polish and do a quick fix. They decided to stick to their guns and act like the owner. I don't recommend this place. I'd rather continue to drive 25 minutes to another salon than to come to this one that's 5 minutes from my house. read more

It's taken me awhile to get around to writing this review, but my most recent visit definitely bothered me. This occurred a few months ago in June 2024. I decided to come in a few days before my birthday for a mani-pedi and my experience wasn't great. During my pedicure, the lady (I didn't catch her name, but I had never seen her before. She had a tattoo sleeve on one of her arms) scrubbed wayyyy too hard and broke skin on not one but both of my big toes and a bit on the soles of my feet. Upon realizing that she broke skin and I was bleeding she proceeded to press on the wounds multiple times despite me saying "that hurts" (I assume to try to stop the bleeding). She did eventually try to apologize, but what was done was done. She finished my pedicure and I went to get my manicure with no more issues. Before I left, I decided to show the owner and ask for a bandaid since it hurt quite a bit to walk and I didn't want to walk outside with an open wound. They DID NOT have any bandaids. To make matters even worse, they didn't really address what happened. After "looking" around for bandaids they obviously didn't have, they had me pay (full-price I might add) and I left. A few days later, I spent my birthday walking around Disneyland uncomfortable and in pain ): Not only that, it took over a month for the cuts to fully heal and that was with me cleaning and dressing them daily. To this day (now early October), I have scars and can see exactly where the cuts were on my toes. I'm not one to typically make a big fuss, but I was extremely disappointed. I'd been coming here for years and I didn't feel as though I was treated like a valued customer. I haven't been back since and I'm not sure if I ever will be. read more

Most of the time I have had pedicures here they have been decent. Today, as soon as I let her know I just wanted the Classic, which is the cheapest, I felt attitude. She rushed through everything and painted my nails terribly. When I asked her to redo it she just put on more polish. I asked again to just have them redone. She would not. $25 to have my nails painted without good cuticle or callus removed and a non existent massage was definitely not worth it. I will not be back. read more

Just got a pedi done here and it was my worst one so far. I get pedis often because I train for half-marathons and I always get black gel to hide the bruised nails. Not only did my nail tech cut way too close to where it was painful, she also didn't even cover my nails all the way with the gel! Today I went to this salon and was told the wait would be 30 minutes. However, I waited an hour. No problem. It was close to closing so myself and an older lady was left waiting. A man approached us and asked who was first. I replied I was. However, he told both of us to have a seat in the spa chairs and we sat right next to each other. The man told the nail tech doing our feet that I was first. In spite of this, she began to work on the older lady's feet and a different nail tech walked over and began working on her nails. Realizing my quiet frustration, the man spoke with them in their language and the pedicurist slid her chair over to me. She then gave me a card with the prices and services and asked which one I wanted. I chose the basic which was Classic and pointed to it on the card. The lady began to try to remove the price which was $23. Her co workers saw her and told her something in their language. She put the card back in her cart. She then gave me the exact same card but with higher prices and smiled. I looked at her in disbelief. I took my feet out of the water, thanked them and walked out. That was strike two. I could not believe that happened to me. I will never go there again and I will tell my coworkers that go there what happened in hopes they find another nail salon that doesn't discriminate! read more

My first experience getting my nails done at a salon and it was definitely interesting... I showed the lady the design I wanted (didn't catch her name since no one wears name tags or introduces themselves) which was from a post I saw on Instagram. At first, it seemed like she was following the design to a T, and then I noticed she got real careless of symmetry, evenness, and detail! If you look at the pictures I posted, the designs on one hand are extremely off from the other. My friend and I went together and she got her nails done from a different lady, but her nails were also very unsymmetrical. Unfortunately, we asked for a refund and unfortunately the business owner declined a refund but offered to re-do our nails.
