Read reviews about Monica so decided to try this place out- and of course Monica was busy - beautiful place, exceptionally clean, host was very welcoming. I chose the LA princess pedicure. Katelyn was my nail tech. She didn't greet me just pointed to the chair. I was disappointed with her service. I told her I wanted to keep my toe nail shape square and she rounded them. Every nail was a different length and had to point out the difference and on top of that she filed two nails to a slant. Didn't scrub the entire bottoms of my feet. it's almost like she wasn't present. The whole time she was looking around not paying attention caring more about conversations and people coming in vs being attentive and doing a good job. She never spoke during the pedicure would just nudge me to move my feet to a different direction. Finally at the end she asked if I wanted another coat of nail polish and that was the first I heard her voice. During the first 20 mins I wanted to just tell her to stop, pay for the services and leave. Getting a pedicure should be relaxing and she was just giving me an anxiety. Not the worst pedicure but definitely on the list. The girl sitting next to me was getting a great pedicure by Tammy - I was envious The "20 min massage" that comes with the La Princess pedicure was In fact, 7 minutes. Which doesn't make sense because she had a timer right next to her. The aesthetics of the place and the host get 5 stars. I would give Katelyn 1 star. Just some advice to La Posh don't assign Katelyn to first time customers and advise her to speak to her customers- chances are they will not be back! For a $85 pedicure you'd expect it to be at least decent. read more

She is always so welcoming and really makes you feel appreciated as a customer. My nail tech Cindy, does an amazing job every single time. She's incredibly talented and always comes up with creative ideas for different nail styles, which I love because it keeps things fun and unique. My nails always turn out beautiful. Another thing I really appreciate is how organized and professional the salon is. I've never had to wait for my appointment, everything is always clean, and the atmosphere feels very well run. Even when I've walked in without an appointment, they've been able to get me in within a reasonable time. You can tell they truly care about their business and their clients. I usually go to another salon in Otay Ranch but I decided to give this one a try because it's really close to my house. When I arrived I got seated right away and they started on my pedicure. I cannot recall the name of the lady that did my pedicure but she did great no complaints from that at all. When I went to get my nails done it took over an hour to get these which is crazy because at my other salon an hour would be for some crazy design and all I asked was for plain polish. My tech was Katelyn she was nice I just think that they were uneven and she looked annoyed when I asked her to correct certain things so I didn't bother to ask again anymore. I paid $109 total and while the pedicure was ok it seems a bit excessive for a work that is not quality I feel like these might fall very soon. Also when I was paying the guy at the front puts 3 different Venmo's because I had two technicians and one was for the pay so I proceed to Venmo him $109 and I tipped the lady that did my toes and he comes back to ask me if I had send to both of them????? Don't get me wrong I ALWAYS tip and I tip great when it is a service that is worth it but I found it rude he came and asked like it is mandatory! Might give them another try because the ambience is nice and now I have read reviews about other technicians but for future reference it is ok for clients to ask to change certain things and there should be no attitude given because then it just makes it feel like they are doing you a favor. 3/5 only because pedicure was good. read more

I called ahead to inquire about scheduling an eyebrow wax because I am aware that the salon can become very busy. The owner/gentleman at the front desk informed me that appointments are not accepted for waxing services. After work, I stopped by specifically for the eyebrow wax, only to be told by the owner/gentleman at the front desk that the technician was too busy and that the wait would be extensive. I explained that this was precisely why I had called earlier to request an appointment. Rather than addressing my concern professionally, the owner/gentleman at the front desk became argumentative and responded rudely, stating, "If you want to wait, then wait." Unfortunately, this experience was consistent with previous interactions I have had with him. Each encounter has been marked by a lack of professionalism and poor customer service. If appointments are not offered for waxing services, customers should at least be provided with accurate expectations regarding availability and wait times. Respectful communication and professionalism are essential in any business, and this experience fell well short of those standards. The 2nd and 3rd nail pics are gel btw. The front desk guy asked what type of nails I wanted. When I showed him a reference photo he asked 3 different nail techs if they could do what I asked, so I appreciated that. I'm a tricky customer because I prefer gel than acrylic so just wanting a design is a high order in any nail salon I go I guess. But anyways the tech that attended me was Steve (Steven? I'm like 90% sure his name was Steve) and he was very throughout, looked at his work, he kept referencing my nail reference photo to make sure he was doing what I wanted. Very attentive. My friend arrived on time, notifying them I would be 15 minutes late. They did not tell her they wouldn't have anyone to assist me. Do not waste your time on this fancy decorated place. Today was the worst I was ever treated ima supposedly stress relief service. The owner is rude the staff are even ruder and rough when you upset them and so on. What takes the cake they charged $146 for a mani and pedi for French tip acrylics as I repeated I did not want acrylics but even if I did this was part of the basic pedi not even the more prestige ones they have listed. They charged extra for every stroke. They wanted an additional $8 for another line to be simply painted onto the already approved design. I could have had a full spa treatment for what they charged. Much better options than this place. The nail tech seemed to intentionally be sloppy after my upset as well and make snarky jokes and laugh. Refreshments were nice to have but also bumps up the pricing. The guy on the front desk comes off a little rude. He won't even take their disposable flops from my hand he had to ask Monica to grab them. The lady that did my nails seemed like she was in a hurry so I'm attaching photos. She was nice but the service just did not cut it. Some nails are not fully coated with top coat and she was using rough side of the filer at the end which does not give a smooth shape.
