I wish I could give this negative stars. I went here today to get a dip nail manicure, which my technician said he has done for a long time. When I went there none of their dip products have been used, the protective seal was in tact on every color. He started the manicure off fine, dipping my nail into the product which is so unsanitary, luckily I was the first use, and then when we got to the top coat it all went down hill from there. The top coat was not drying as it should. So he took the drill and filed all the nails down and started the top coat process again. This went on 5 more additional times. He clearly did not know how to use the product. He even used a different kit and it was not done correctly. Each time it was done, more and more product built up, creating a mass glueing my nails to my finger tips. The skin around my nails also took a beating considering I now have two cuts and a rip in my cuticle that was bleeding because of the drill. 2.5 hours into this process I told him to soak the product off and I left with tore up, sore nails. The pictures attached are what they looked like after I had peeled off most of the product that was still on my fingers. You can see the product on the pinkie finger. Do not come her for a dip nail manicure I have never had such a bad experience. I got a "sorry" but no explanation for as to why he had no clue what he was doing. read more

This salon deserves more credit that they have been given. I went there yesterday (Sunday) because my regular salon is closed on Sundays. I was a little weary after reading the reviews but went anyway. They were not busy and this was probably the best time to go. The salon was the cleanest I have ever seen. I got a whole new full set and the man took his sweet time and did the BEST job on my nails. They aren't too thick, like other salons do. He really did take his time to make them look as natural as possible. I love it! read more

Worst nail experience I've ever had. A friend and I went in today to get a full set of acrylics, and the lady didn't seem to have a clue what she was doing! She forgot my friend was waiting for a set, so it took twice as long as it should have. We would not have minded, but there were THREE employee sitting around doing nothing. The woman who I thought to be the manager sat at one of the pedicure stations on her phone the entire time. Not to mention my nails look terrible AND they overcharged us! She used way too much powder and didn't grind them down to compensate. To say the least I'm extremely disappointed that I have to go home and fix something that I paid for. read more

Horrible....asked for a pink and white fill. Every finger has a different shape and my fill doesn't even come close to my cuticle. I've been getting nails done for 20+ years and have never seen work as bad as this. I've been going to the saloon over the last 5 months after trying many like this one in Champaign I find this one to be the best. They are clean and do a good job. I this salon. I have been going to this salon since they opened. They have had a few staff changes but are still the best in town. This salon is the cleanest, hands down. Best for pink and whites (not many nail techs can do them well). I have taken several friends over the years and most left their salon to make this there preferred salon. read more

One of the guys there is way too rough. He filed the acrylic nail down so far to where he started cutting my real nail. My nail is cut and stinging now from my skin being exposed. When I'm trying to explain to him what he did he just keep saying "He's doing good for me". I'll never go there again & would not recommend. read more

This is my 2nd time at this salon, and I should have learned the first time. I could not communicate with my technician. Each time I asked her a question, she had to get up and get someone to translate for me. I was horrified when she pulled the cheese grater out of someone's bottom drawer, used it on my feet, rinsed it off and put it back in the drawer. She then proceeded to use a dirty nail file on my nails. Not only was it used, but it was old and tattered. I brought my own polish for my toes. When she was finished painting my toes, the polish did not reach the sides of the nails, nor did she clip the dead skin away from my cuticles. I told the woman at the cash register I was not happy with my manicure or pedicure and she shrugged her shoulders and walked away. Not the kind of place I want to support. read more

My mom and I went on a Saturday, late morning, there was one other lady in the salon and only 2 employees. The salon was clean and there are a lot of stations, not sure why, there's not enough employees to fill them. We were getting manicures and pedicures. While the man was working on my feet he kept calling people to get some extra help. It was annoying. The lady that came in to work on my mom was the same lady that always did an awful job at top nails. The pedicure looked ok. Once it was time for my mani he didn't even move me to a different station. My butt was numb by the end of it all. There was a woman waiting for acrylics so he had to rush thru my mani to cater to her...he didn't even do anything but paint on my right hand. And barely tended my cuticles on my left hand. The coats were so thick and done so sloppily and fast I had so many bubbles. When he was done he had turned on the chair that I had turned off, said thank you and literally ran away. I hate the massage chairs. My moms mani was just as bad. She kept telling the lady that there was polish on her skin and she is nothing about it. Both of our nails were incredibly uneven. The woman that got the acrylics gave the man a hug when he was done with her so they must be alright with those. We were there for about 2 hours...it was so expensive and awful I debated stealing the polish to redo my nails at home. Every time I looked at my nails it pissed me off so bad I redid them that day as payed my mom back lol read more

Today was my first visit, it is the third salon i have tried. The best by far. It is labour day which might explain how quiet and relaxing it was although i am hoping that it is generally like that. I was greeted by an abrupt woman to see what i required, she told me to choose my gel colour. After that i was seen by a quiet gentleman who was very professional and attentive. He dealt with hard skin areas and cuticles, he had to work with my horribly short nails, he did a great job. I was very happy and relaxed when i left. Time will tell if the gel and manicure i had will withstand my daily routine. I paid $30 for the service and feel it was well worth it because of all the work he did. read more

Went in with a very distinct nail shape (very pointy stiletto nails). Showed the nail tech to make sure that she was able to recreate this shape and she lied and told me yes. When my nails were done they were not pointy AT ALL. I didn't even have the energy to correct her.. because she obviously knew what I wanted from the beginning and chose to ignore me. The pedicure was mediocre and is already chipping. The atmosphere was awkward with there only being one other customer. Not a great selection of polish either. Will never be returning. read more

The first time I went here I got a shellac manicure done. It was done by a women, I'm not sure what her name was, she was pleasant but didn't really talk. When she was done I felt like the manicure was kind of sloppy, I noticed when I left it didn't cover some of my nails fully on the edges. Then after one week two nails were chipping which was very disappointing. I went back to have it removed and decided this time just to get a regular manicure. This time it was done by a man who was nice enough but he rushed through it, again it was sloppy and my nails were filed uneven and crooked. Could have done a much better job myself, this does not look professional. I will not make the mistake of going back again. read more

I think this salon is excellent. It is a little hidden in the Robeson Plaza between the Jimmy Johns and Carle so many people miss it when they go by. This is by far the cleanest nail salon that I have ever been in. The staff is very kind and explain everything. They also offer waxing, and do an excellent job, I often go there just for waxing. If you are curious you should stop in and give them a try. read more
