Best place in the uiuc area! I've only been here once but honestly it has been the best my nails have looked after getting them done. I got a full set of acrylics (with regular polish, it was $28) and they were able to help me right away without an appointment. They don't have a huge selection of colors other than the usual colors. I had Kim and she did an amazing job. I honestly don't have an complaints about my nails, which even with my regular salon back home I usually have at least one. She made them thin enough to where they look like my actual nails and spend a good amount of time while also being efficient to make sure they looked good. Would recommend!!

I received a gel manicure from Lovely Nails in mid-December. I came in on a weekday afternoon and had about a 15 minute wait - completely worth it for the quality service I received. All of the nail technicians were extremely friendly and did an exceptional job! My manicure took about 40-45 minutes and looked fantastic! My nail technician worked very quickly and cautiously. My nails were perfect! The salon was very clean and has a calm ambience. I used to go to Anna's Nails, but will definitely be switching to Lovely Nails as my regular salon!

For $15 bucks (pre-tip) you get a nice manicure ! I walked in around 12:30 on a Friday and got seated basically right away. My tech was quick and efficient, not a whole lot of chit chat-- but that's fine with me. She was nice and took care of my nails that were definitely ROUGH(lol!). Will be back. :)

Went on Saturday and my nails already chipped Tuesday. The salon was clean staff was nice but poor quality.

My nails although they had grown out a bit.

My nails were done fast, they were beautiful and they were done exactly as I asked. I will visit them again, definitely. With that being said, although they understood and spoke English, they spoke in their native tongue and laughed among themselves almost the entire time I was there and my daughter and I felt pretty uncomfortable. This is why I only gave 4 stars instead of the five.

The only salon I have been going to for the last two years! The staff is beyond friendly and the salon is always clean. Not only do you leave with a wonderful set of nails, you leave with a smile on your face. As for some of the negative reviews, I just wanted to clarify: a gel set still mixes gel powder, perhaps your were wanting dip pot or shellac. Anyways, to this day this is the only place I go to and will go to!

My nails looked AWFUL going in after over a month of not filling my acrylics. I came into Lovely Nails without an appointment hoping for the best, and I got it! They sat me down right away and were so so friendly and efficient. I used to be a regular at another place on Neil but after their kindness and doing such a good job I will definitely be returning here.

I'm Definitely coming back, wonderful service, and very friendly. Very relaxing and you have to try the color change polish.

I was wrong in my check in. Basic pedi is 25. Kids 20. This is to make up for that. The chairs are weak still.

I visited this nail shop for the second time ever yesterday. My daughter lives in Champaign and the…read morelast time we came was in February of this year to get pedicures for her birthday. We both thought they did a great job and our pedicures lasted a long time. Unfortunately when I came by myself yesterday, I had a very different experience. I called ahead to reserve an appointment at 4pm just to be safe. The gentleman who worked there answered my call and just agreed to my appointment time and was about to hang up, I said don't you want my name? He said what's your name? I told him, and he said ok see you at 4. When I arrived at the nail shop the man who answered the phone was at the first nail desk closest to the door working on a customer. There were two other women nail techs working on customers who just looked at me as I walked in. No greeting. The man didn't look up and said "can I help you?" I responded saying I have a 4pm pedicure appointment. He said "ok pick your color" never looking at me once. I picked my color and took a seat. I did not wait long before one of the ladies came to get me. I do not have much to comment on related to her pedicure on my feet. She didn't ask me if I wanted my toenails cut which usually is common practice, but other than that, the pedicure was pretty standard. She made some errors with paint on my skin but cleaned it up and the finished product is fine. She made no conversation whatsoever, though I cannot confirm or deny whether or not that was due to her limited English because I only heard her speak another language. The disturbing part of this visit was the conversation between a white woman and one of the nail techs right next to me. That nail tech was definitely trying to keep up conversation with the white woman and at at one point the white woman mentioned that she didn't realize she had this coming Thursday off. (Due to Juneteenth) The nail tech, who is an Asian woman, asked what's the holiday, the white woman fumbled for an answer and ultimately googled to find out what the holiday was and what it represented. The Asian woman asked "are you getting paid for the holiday?" The white woman said yes. And the nail tech responded "well as long as you're getting paid who cares that's great enjoy yourself!" As a Black woman who is literally sitting in the chair right next to them as they had this conversation- and NO ONE had the self awareness to recognize how deeply offensive that exchange was!! #1 for both of these women, one of whom is of a marginalized identity, to be oblivious to WHAT Juneteenth is, is disgraceful. #2 after they both "learned" that the holiday was about the eradication of the enslavement of Black people, and then to say "who cares as long as you're getting paid" is the most disrespectful and disgusting thing a fellow woman of color could possibly say. And to say it in front of a Black woman. Her deep need for white acceptance made her oblivious to how terribly ignorant she looks. I hope she reads this review and I hope she understands she has betrayed herself and her sister in this world. I do not recommend this business to anyone, but especially not for any people of color as they clearly have no respect or desire for our patronage. There are plenty of other options and I hope this business reaps the karma it is sowing.

I have been here before and they did a good job but with the disrespect, I do not plan on going back. I do not understand why they can not do stripes, and if they can't, there was no need to laugh in my face.

Because the pain was so intense I went to Christie Clinic and saw Dr Okyne who ordered tests. By Saturday July 12 my whole foot was swollen and red and hot so I went to Christie Convenient Care where I saw Dr Johnston who told me I had a serious infection called Cellulitis. He prescribed a ten day antibiotic (Augmentin). I am convinced that the source of this infection is the pedicure at Angel Nails in the Meijer store on North Prospect. Also, they did a terrible mani/pedi on my husband. The tech cut his toe nails so short that they bled when he took his walk the morning after.

I was seated for my pedi and I felt like the process was rushed. When I asked about the pricing, she talked to me in a rude way like I was asking too many questions. She barely put on the polish right to my satisfaction. When it was time to for my mani, I ended up getting the full set because regular mani was $45 and gel was $50. The guy that did my hands seemed to be rushing as well and cut my skin using the file board He did't ask if I wanted my actual nails cut and it was too late before I could say anything. I was not too happy with this visit.
