ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE, me and my friends went here to enjoy a spa day with the girls, made an appointment at 5:30, we were waiting until 6:30, when I asked how much longer they said 10 minutes. When ten minutes had passed the said five more minutes, when I told them it was not ok to be letting us wait this long two workers started talking very loudly about us. I came in as a walk in with my friend and they told us to leave and come back an hour later. So we did. When we came back in we waited another 10-15 minutes before we were sat. The store was pretty busy so I'm not bothered by that. When we were finally sat, the guy doing my nails started doing his thing. I asked for gel extensions ( which they say they have on their website ) and he gave me acrylics. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to upset anyone and I wasn't going to have these nails on for long. I just needed them for a trip I was going on. He was very aggressive with the drill. My nail beds are sore from the aggressiveness. I showed him a picture of what I want and he gave me french tips in white with a blooming gel flower. They're cute but not at all what I asked for and they're a little uneven. My friend was stuck with the tech that was running around doing 4 people's nails. As soon as I was done after an hour of getting my nails done she only had her tips on. She also wanted gel extensions but got acrylic. He was doing the beads very fast and sloppily. Her nails ended up being very cute and she's very hot with hers. While she was getting her nails done he was answering phone calls on speaker and hanging up on people. He seemed very irritated. Our nails cost about $80-$85 each. When we came in before we were seated we were waiting in the chairs and a lady who had been there for an hour already even though she had scheduled an appointment had not been seated yet. She ended up being seated after my friend and I. They do not care about appointment whatsoever. I will most likely never come back here. The only reason this place is rated 5 stars is because he forces people to rate it 5. He took my phone from my hand and put in a review with 5 stars on TWO of my emails. He was going thru my phone basically. It was actually insane and I was very uncomfortable. My friends phone died so he used mine for both of ours. I deleted all the reviews he put up. I would not recommend this nail salon. I asked for Gel-X and they had insisted on giving me acrylic. After having to change the design. The paint job was very bad, leaving me with a hair in the paint and incomplete on the sides. After returning to "fix" it looked almost completely the same. It looked nothing like my reference photo and would have appreciated them being transparent with me if they could not do it. They did give me a refund but I am very disappointed having to visit three times. $78 is crazy. read more

I had asked on the phone how much it would cost for medium size nails acrylic with French tip and had told me " $55 for you." If I can give this salon zero stars I would, the owner or whoever he is is very rude doesn't know how to talk to kids let alone grown adults service was poor went in for a fill in and pedi and he tell me he couldn't take me because he was the only one there and to go elsewhere (which was rude)but took another lady that walked in after me. horrible experience here. I picked Top Nails because I saw all of the 5 star reviews on Google and needed to get my dip powder taken off. The first thing that I was greeted with was yelling from a male employee (I assume the manager) and general chaos. I talked to some other girls while I waited who had been there for hours despite only needed a one hour max service. The salon was dirty and messy, with cups of random drinks everywhere. When I finally got seated I waited until the male employee came and aggressively tapped/hit my shoulder while talking to another employee. I was then moved to his station where he aggressively filed off the top coat of dip. I sat with my hands in a dirty plastic bag of acetone for 45 minutes. The workers were running back and worth while still taking more appointments. My nails are destroyed due to the aggressive filing, leaving my nails paper thin (see photos). My hands were covered in dip residue, and I had to request more acetone to get it off, which I didn't get. I left with residue all over my hands. There was dust everywhere and the whole place was unhygienic. I ended up leaving after my dip was removed (when I planned on getting a full manicure). I wouldn't recommend anyone go to this salon despite the many 5 star google reviews. Listen to the 1 stars on Yelp and save yourself the headache! read more

$118 for a pedicure and French tip nails... outrageous! Especially when the experience was awful and my nails aren't even or shaped the same. Some are lopsided! $118! Not to mention this is for my wedding! Despite telling them numerous times about the nails not being evenly shaped, they are still uneven! And the hot stones (which I didn't say I wanted, I said I wanted a deluxe pedicure), happened so quickly that it almost created a panic attack. I've been getting manicures and pedicures for a LONGGGGG time, there's never been a hot stone anything happen that quickly. It's supposed to be relaxing. It wasn't. I would never get my nails at this place ever again the first girl messed up my toenails. It was very streaky so Brian came over to fix my toes. My toes looked amazing. But my fingernails I told him I just wanted to dip because I'm not allowed to have acrylic nails and he said do you want short or long? I told him long and he put on acrylics. I thought OK I'm going on vacation for a week. I'll just cut them off when I get back, but then he did not do the design. I asked him to do. He dipped all my nails gray and then tried to cover up the gray dip with the white nail polish . All of this cost me $120. And the guy asked if I wanted to tip when I was paying I told him $20 and he said OK 25 and then charged my card. So it cost me a total of $145 for these terrible nails. Also, when I got my pedicure, I told her I wanted the basic pedicure, but then she started using the hot rocks on my legs. I feel like they use the language barrier as a way to misunderstand and charge more money. read more

My daughter and I were treated very poorly by Top Nails. We had a 1:00 appt, and once we arrived we asked if we could sit together and they said yes. next thing we know, they've hauled my daughter to the back, leaving me sitting at my station while waiting 15 minutes for service. neither one of our techs shaped our nails properly; they were uneven and looked awful. my daughter asked for a no chip and the tech put pink acrylic powder on the nails and only added a top coat, not painting them at all. my tech was rough with my hands and tried filing gel polish off my skin, only stopping when i told him to. Worst service we've ever had in a nail salon, and we won't be back. read more

I arrived Sunday morning about an hour after open and asked if there was time for two walk in basic mani pedis. Knowing it can get busy on Sunday, I expected a wait but we were told to pick a color and gave us spa seat numbers. 40 minutes and exceptionally cold water later, they were able to start a pedicure but the second wasn't able to be started until the first was almost done an hour after we arrived. I certainly understood Sunday could be busy but they should have asked us to come back in an hour if this were the case. The girls did do a good job on the pedicure, even while seeming to be rushed by the guy who seemed "in charge". I had a gut feeling to cancel the manicures, and I should have because what a shame. This guy rushed so quickly through both of our simple manicures. The cuticles were totally neglected and the filing was bare minimum on mine. He almost seemed bothered I asked to shape 3 a bit better because they were sharp. Our other manicure was just a buff out without polish and he literally refused to buff them after taking the automatic nail dremel to it. I was blown away. Her nails were worse off after the experience than before. The cuticles were not cut. The nails were only filed in the front and not the sides making them sharp and the dremel left sharp scratches and dents in the nails. We honestly should have refused payment for that manicure but we were just in shock. Long story short I DO NOT recommend this salon, or at the very least not while they're busy. I feel offended after having waited so long just to be rushed through an insufficient service. read more

I did not have a great experience like so many others on here. I got golden colored dip job with no tips. The technician was fairly new and messy with the glitters. She did not get the corners covered on multiple nails before dipping them. I kept telling her to get the corners and she kept telling me she knows, don't worry. The dipping powder was not non chip, just a cup of glitter. They were not strong, so my nails started chipping at the tips. By the next day 3 of my nails chipped away along the sides due to lack of coverage. I tried filling my nails down to prevent the glitters from chipping but that didn't work. Day 3, two more nails cracked. So frustrated, 4 days later I got them removed and re-done at a salon in Chicago by a better nail tech. I paid $50 including tips for a job that didn't last 5 days. This occurred 5/11/23 and removed them 5/15. I will never go back. Those high ratings on google for this shop were so misleading. That was the only reason I gave them a try. read more

To be fair, we were a group of 6 (wedding party), which is going to stretch any salon. We did have an appointment, so they should have been ready for it. They didn't have enough technicians to do everyone at once, but I figure you have to cut everyone slack regarding staffing these days. They have signs on the door outlining Covid-prevention protocols, which I expected, but they didn't perform or enforce them. As a business owner in the personal services sector myself, I know that most of us are fanatically sanitizing between clients. They have bottles of hand sanitizer sitting around, but didn't use them or sanitize any surfaces between clients. All staff were wearing masks though. As for the nails, the service was OK. I think most of us were in pretty rough shape, not having had any nail care for the past several months. But they weren't too consistent in what steps they followed. I felt like my cuticles didn't get very good attention; my sister felt her feet were short-changed. And honestly I can get a mani-pedi cheaper in the San Francisco area that is higher quality. read more

I went in and asked for a gel set refill (different from acrylic set if you're unfamiliar). I told the man what I wanted and he said okay. I waited for about 25 minutes for him to finish up someone else (which was totally fine, just wish he would've said how long it would be). He starts doing my nails and starts filling them in with acrylic, not gel as requested. I was charged for a gel refill ($25 on their website), but got acrylic (only $15 on their website). Then, one day later they all popped off. If they didn't do gel nails (not referring to polish), I wish he would've said it from the start and I would've gone elsewhere. However, it says on their website that they do UV gel full sets and refills. Overall, beyond dissatisfied with my experience (especially since I paid $40 for all the nails to pop off within 24 hours) and I do not recommend them. read more

Had an apt and was put in a pedicure chair right away- they did not start pedicure til 45 min. later-Attempted to use dirty cuticle cutter from previous manicure and I had to ask for a clean one. I downgraded from a no chip mani to a Basic to get out of there ASAP! Nails were uneven and everything was rushed. EVERYTIME I come here I'm left waiting with my feet in the water for atleast an hour before I'm serviced, only for mediocre work. The last three times this has been the case; most recently I noticed I was skipped and decided we'd leave. Considering I come in when it's not busy this makes no sense to me. They don't communicate you'll be waiting and didn't even care to try and get me to stay...even only offered me a clearly dirty unfolded towel that was on a chair to use to dry my feet. Had A very bad 1st experience coming here , the man that worked on my nails was rushing through my nails and was not very gentle was actually a bit rough and not careful when using nail drill . I told him to be a little more careful and he responded to me saying "you complain a lot " I felt uncomfortable at that point . i came in for a simple nail fill in I didn't think it was much to ask for they where not busy at all I was the only customer in there on Sunday . I've came here about 4 times and I've never really had any bad experiences, which is why I kept coming back. I called the day before to make an appointment for a Saturday at 9am for shellac hands and a pedi with a polish change. I showed up on time. There was 1 employee and another customer had just walked in. The guy put us side by side and went back and forth working on both of us. Because he was going back and forth, he was doing a rather fast and sloppy job. I had to tell him a few times that my nails he filed looked very uneven. I picked out a color which was a dark maroon. The color he applied was a bright, glittery red. I told him it wasn't the color I chose. He number matched the sample nail color to the number on the bottle and it was the correct number, but I told him numerous times it wasn't the right color and wanted a different one. I so happened to flip over the nail sample and saw a different number. I told him maybe it was this number and he said No. He began to say he would do 3 coats to make it darker. So I said fine. After he was done, I got my pedi done. My feet soaked for 15 minutes while he finished on the walk-in customer. During that time 2 more workers came in and started on 2 more walk-ins. I bit my tongue and just waited. Finally after one of the workers was done with her client, she started on mine. I got a basic pedicure, which is exactly that. BASIC. Definitely not worth the $25. During it, I kept looking at my nails and I wasn't satisfied so I told her I'd like to look at the sample nail compared to mine. She kept telling me it was the same color and brought the guy who did my nails to see it. They continuously kept trying to tell me it was the same and didn't see a problem with the color. The guy eventually said he'd do another coat but I said no and wanted an exact color of the one I originally chose. They ended up finding the number I told them about and sure enough.. it was the right one. They ended up painting OVER the 3 layers of shellac nail they had applied. Then they did my feet and I made sure to pick out the color. Overall, extremely disappointed. I've never had a bad experience here, until now. They wouldn't just admit it was 2 totally different colors and made me feel dumb for saying something about it. The fact I had an appointment and left AFTER all the walk ins is another reason I will not be back.
