I reached out to the salon directly to let them know what happened so it could be addressed and other's wouldn't have the same experience. The management blamed me the first time, and after I posted the review, she texted my private number and stated again that it was all because of the length of the hair. As you can see in the article screenshot, bruising is caused by poor technique. I've also had dozens of waxes at this point so I am well aware of how my skin reacts. Unfortunately, the service took 40 minutes and was also the most painful waxing I have experienced. The wax seemed like it was very difficult for the esthetician to remove. At one point, the esthetician used hard wax to remove more hard wax. Multiple times the stick got unstuck and she had to place another one on, or she just pulled too early. While the esthetician herself was a truly lovely person and a pleasure to talk to, I strongly advise not getting this service.

The best waxing place I've ever been too…read more First, the results, I usually get my eyebrows, Brazilian, legs, and underarms done. In just 3-4 sessions I have seen a decrease in hair growth. I have gotten a lot of waxes and never in my life have they been this good and let me say they make sure to get every hair. They make my eyebrows look flawless. I would highly recommend the nose black head removal especially if you have an event you want to have perfect skin for. Second, the technicians, they are absolute sweethearts and will go above and beyond to make you happy and make sure you are satisfied with your service from the minute you walk in you feel welcome and they legitimately want to give you a good experience not take your money. All of the customers who went in and out during my four hours there had very friendly, neighborly conversations with all of the stylists. As for her work...OH MY GOODNESS is she talented! I told her that the purple to pink ombre I wanted on my dark hair would be the first time I've ever done a dramatic change, and it turned out absolutely beautiful. It took about an hour for the bleach to lighten my hair enough for dye, but Terra checked it frequently while kindly reassuring me the colors would still appear my desired shades. Turns out most of the ladies from Hair Benders are now at No. 7! On my friend's recommendation, I drove from Decatur to Champaign for a wax from Tracy - So worth it! Not only is the price amazing ($50 for a brazilian), but Tracy is a skilled waxer. It took about 20 minutes and was pretty painless for getting hair ripped out by its roots. I enjoyed chatting with her and learned some places to check out on future trips to town, which was great. I am definitely making the trip out to the U of I campus again! Some cons: I waited 5-10 mins. past my appointment time (but again, it was so very worth it!), and when I got home I noticed some hairs that had gotten missed (no big deal - I often find thalt a few spots will have a few stubborn hairs). Also the salon has a glass storefront letting all of the afternoon sun in, so it was kind of warm inside. None of these things are a big deal to me - but may be for others.
