I got to Top Nails at 6:25pm, knowing that they close at 7pm (I was desperate! lol). I had been wanting to try them out but hadn't gotten a chance to go yet. They were very nice and several employees said hi to me. Pedicure: I got a basic pedicure. The pedicurist was nice, the pedicure was average. I feel like the pedicurist didn't seal my polish by going across the top of the nail. I probably could've used another coat of polish on my toes also. Full Set: I had nails on already which were old. A guy named Tony took my other nails off (painfully using another nail, but I got through it). He said the place I had gone too before must've filed too hard. Sigh. Anyway, he did my full set and a design. I liked his work, except he could've started a bit closer to the nail base. He mentioned that he doesn't start so close because that's how peoples' nails get damaged. Fair enough, but I would've liked it a bit closer since the fill ins grow out so quickly. I should have told him to make my nails thin. I chose matte black polish this time, and I usually get my nails in oval shape, so when he was done, my nails looked like eagle claws (thick and black). Yuck! Mistake to get matte polish, or mistake to not tell him to make my nails thinner! I felt bad for coming in so late, so I wasn't about to ask him to thin them out or change the polish. He did a nice design on my nail. When he finished it was about 7:40pm. Overall, nice work. I would go back, but I'd be more specific the next time. And maybe get a different person for my pedicure. The other thing, I could've used an actual manicure or cuticle trimming but I won't fault Top Nails for this - maybe this is also something I should've asked for. read more

I highly recommend you do NOT go to Top Nails. They did an awful job. I'm sitting here at home trying to re-manicure to salvage...I have nail glue all over my fingers, they didn't even clean or trim down my real nails, the filing is all uneven and my cuticles are a mess. I had set an appointment and the person who did the set split his time between me and another customer (without washing his hands or changing gloves in between!). Just went for a full set Sunday as a Mother's Day treat and the acrylic gel is already lifting!! Highly disappointed, especially after waiting two hours. The tech scheduled my appointment but did not mention prior to my arrival that he would be doing 5-6 full sets at once. No covid restrictions in place other than wearing a mask. No social distancing. They do an absolutely amazing and detail-oriented job here! I got a pedicure, and for $25, you get your feet rubbed, a hot stone massage on your calves and feet, and an amazing pedicure. WOW! I've been coming to Top Nails for nearly 2 years now. I fell out of love with my previous salon and found Tony at Top Nails. He is so fast and does a fantastic job on my French shellac manicure every time. The price is a little higher than some other salons but he is totally worth it. I've had pedicures here as well and they are great also! Highly recommend. They care about their clients and will take care of you. Be aware they are a busy place because everyone loves them. It's too bad that I have to give them any stars at all; the do not deserve it. I have given them two opportunities and both times I was incredibly underwhelmed. They are unprofessional, provide terrible service and are downright rude. Their only concern is getting you in and out as quickly as possible. The guy that did my nails both times was very rude and and inattentive. He glued my nails on then bounced between 5 others and myself, not giving any of the customers adequate attention. My nails turned out crooked, uneven and he didn't even apply the protein or bonding liquid before applying the acrylic, causing them to detach at the cuticle after only a couple days. The nails are thick, rough and were left improperly filed down. While I was waiting for my nails to dry during my last visit, he approached me and rudely told me that I was finished and had to leave. I was appalled by the service and unprofessionalism I experienced both times I went. I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody, not even as a last resort. Save yourself the money and hassle of needing them fixed and choose somewhere else. read more

The most important i ever care about is how the owner take care of their shop, and if all their tools are all sanitized and when it comes to my hands and feet im extremely picky . Therefore, not so many nail shops welcome me as regular customer . Believe me , im not picky about the design , color or either how long the massage takes, but everything here seems to satisfy me very very well . i had my nails done here for the first time and im glad to say this will be my spot from now on , when i want to have a lil spa time to my self. I'm from out of town this place has 4 stars came in for a pedi sat in the chair for almost 2 hours to get my pedi they had to replace my water because it got cold. I had to go to work they told me to come back the next day because I got a clear coat and they made me pay for a full pedi. Thinking I was going to get the rest of my pedi all he did was paint my nails. So I paid $25 to soak my feet for 2 hrs clip my nails and paint them. I could've done that at home for free. Went there on Friday Dec 23rd. they were swamped, so busy. I got a mani pedi. First, they said we could get right in then say there with our feet in water for 30 minutes. The guy who finally came over to do my pedi did a great job. THEN, my manicure. I said wanted gel with a little bit of light sparkle ombred on my nails. She put its all over my nails. BEFORE we put the sparkle in the light i said yeah i dont like that at all can we take it off, she says no to late. THEN she didnt even leave my n ails under the light for more than 20 seconds and i KNEW they weren't going to be dry so i asked her to leave them in longer she said no its fine. Next morning, allllll my nails were bubbling up peeling off. I went in to the salon on christmas eve to show them my nail (WHICH i also have pictures of) she accused me of picking them off because i didnt like them! i said yes i did pick some of them off because theyre bubbling off because you wouldnt let them dry and i told you i didnt like them yesterday and you told me to bad. So the manager made her redo them and didnt charge me. But he wanted to charge me again and i said NO! theyre SO rude and disrespectful. NO organization. i will NEVER ever go back. Dont even get me started on how unsanitary it all is. They use the same pedicure manicure sets on every patient, they pretend to put it in a sterilizer but they only leave it in there for 10-15 minutes. it takes a good hour to properly sterilize those utensils. They did a horrible job on my no chip manicure, absolutely did not look professional at all. The nails didn't look clean and it was clear that he rushed them. He (owner?) was working between me and another client at the same time! I told him I wasn't satisfied with my no chip and decided to have him remove the polish and asked for a regular manicure. He did not refund me my money for the no chip so they ended up charging me double the price + tip for my regular manicure. There's plenty of nail salons around this area, DO NOT COME HERE. read more

Literally the worst French manicure of my life. Everything was crooked then when I mentioned it, he said it was because my nails were crooked. They're not. He shaped them oval and almond AND almost square. DO NOT GO HERE. Walmart in Savoy will do such a better job for $20. I was reluctant to write this review only because I thought it was a hidden treasure and wanted to keep it all to myself. I later realized that was too selfish. As a traveler I rely on yelp to help me find the right places to go. I had tried a few other nail places in town and was highly disappointed. Insert Top Nails. I have been multiple times now and they are meticulous every time. If there is no one there everyone is working on you, if there is a wait, they are honest about the time and DONT RUSH you once your in the chair. I get a mani pedi every time. A Mani is 12 dollars, a spa mani is 20. Pedi is 23,spa pedi is 30. The first time they offered the spa pedi I thought why not. They say 7 "dolla mor" , I say "ok". Thirty minutes later after the greatest massage and foot treatment I have ever had, I was thinking 7 dollars, thats it!? It was worth sooooo much more. HIGHLY Recommend it. read more

This is my new favorite place. I love the magnetic polish. This is one of those salons where everybody recognizes you, and some of them even remember your name, what you do for a living, and your children's names. Most of the time they are very speedy, but occasionally they can take longer than normal. They are very affordable, and have good sales on pedicure and manicure combos. Lately, With the bad weather, I've been getting the paraffin treatment on my hands, and it is magnificent. They can get very busy on a Friday night, so if you're a walk in on a Friday night, expect to wait. Otherwise, I usually give them an hour or two heads up and I can get in and out very quickly. I have been to other nail salons where The nail technician does not speak very good English, so you sit there in silence the whole time. This is not the case here. The Decour is very nice and appropriate, the equipment appears very new and clean, but they could use some work in the bathroom, and I believe they are in the process of making it better. I know they do waxing here, but I have never used that service before. I do the shellac on the nails and the regular Pedicure and then I sometimes get paraffin. read more

I was extremely disappointed in the service here. My friend and I entered the salon at 3:45 pm on a Sunday, as they were due to close at 5 pm. I typically go to a different salon, but it was closed on Sunday so we decided to stop in here. I was getting a no-chip manicure and my friend was getting a regular manicure in advance of a bachelorette party trip. It was very evident that we were unwelcome and that they were irritated that we came in over an hour before their closing time - we were not greeted and were rushed along. The woman who did my nails did not say a single word the entire time and was blatantly unfriendly. Our manicures were finished in under 40 minutes, and they locked the door behind us as we exited at 4:30 pm. Two days later, my no-chip manicure chipped (likely due to the rushed job that was done), so I went back in to have them fix it. Once I told him I was there for a repair, the man's demeanor shifted and he did not apologize or say a single word to me the entire time. Once he was finished, all he said was, "you can leave now". The store itself did not seem clean; the women was looking in bags for clean tools and there was dust everywhere.
