What I wanted
Jennifer M.

Didn't listen to the shape I wanted. I didn't want them pointed. The color isn't even close. I was trying to tell the lady what I wanted and she just interrupted me and said "okay, okay, okay" my nails and not level as my natural nail would be.. the tips are on crooked. They are angled upwards and they are so gunky under all of my nails. Lastly, I got cut.

I had a terrible experience here . The lady was rushing the whole time and my nails look terrible. They look very unprofessional and messy and the acrylic is so thick it looks disgusting . I do not recommend at all.

Owner basically yelled at me for showing up without an appointment. Walk-in on door and ads.

NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN. We waited for an hour with out feet in cold water and no one came over to us. The floors were dirty and soaked.

Anna's Nail Salon - Nails I asked for

I visited this nail shop for the second time ever yesterday. My daughter lives in Champaign and the…read morelast time we came was in February of this year to get pedicures for her birthday. We both thought they did a great job and our pedicures lasted a long time. Unfortunately when I came by myself yesterday, I had a very different experience. I called ahead to reserve an appointment at 4pm just to be safe. The gentleman who worked there answered my call and just agreed to my appointment time and was about to hang up, I said don't you want my name? He said what's your name? I told him, and he said ok see you at 4. When I arrived at the nail shop the man who answered the phone was at the first nail desk closest to the door working on a customer. There were two other women nail techs working on customers who just looked at me as I walked in. No greeting. The man didn't look up and said "can I help you?" I responded saying I have a 4pm pedicure appointment. He said "ok pick your color" never looking at me once. I picked my color and took a seat. I did not wait long before one of the ladies came to get me. I do not have much to comment on related to her pedicure on my feet. She didn't ask me if I wanted my toenails cut which usually is common practice, but other than that, the pedicure was pretty standard. She made some errors with paint on my skin but cleaned it up and the finished product is fine. She made no conversation whatsoever, though I cannot confirm or deny whether or not that was due to her limited English because I only heard her speak another language. The disturbing part of this visit was the conversation between a white woman and one of the nail techs right next to me. That nail tech was definitely trying to keep up conversation with the white woman and at at one point the white woman mentioned that she didn't realize she had this coming Thursday off. (Due to Juneteenth) The nail tech, who is an Asian woman, asked what's the holiday, the white woman fumbled for an answer and ultimately googled to find out what the holiday was and what it represented. The Asian woman asked "are you getting paid for the holiday?" The white woman said yes. And the nail tech responded "well as long as you're getting paid who cares that's great enjoy yourself!" As a Black woman who is literally sitting in the chair right next to them as they had this conversation- and NO ONE had the self awareness to recognize how deeply offensive that exchange was!! #1 for both of these women, one of whom is of a marginalized identity, to be oblivious to WHAT Juneteenth is, is disgraceful. #2 after they both "learned" that the holiday was about the eradication of the enslavement of Black people, and then to say "who cares as long as you're getting paid" is the most disrespectful and disgusting thing a fellow woman of color could possibly say. And to say it in front of a Black woman. Her deep need for white acceptance made her oblivious to how terribly ignorant she looks. I hope she reads this review and I hope she understands she has betrayed herself and her sister in this world. I do not recommend this business to anyone, but especially not for any people of color as they clearly have no respect or desire for our patronage. There are plenty of other options and I hope this business reaps the karma it is sowing.

I asked for a plain colored nail with stripes and when I showed the guy the inspiration picture…read more(below) he laughed in my face. I have been here before and they did a good job but with the disrespect, I do not plan on going back. I do not understand why they can not do stripes, and if they can't, there was no need to laugh in my face.

I had a pedicure at Angel Nails on the afternoon of July 8, 2025. I began to experience foot pain…read morearound my big toe the morning of July 9 which increased through the day. Because the pain was so intense I went to Christie Clinic and saw Dr Okyne who ordered tests. By Saturday July 12 my whole foot was swollen and red and hot so I went to Christie Convenient Care where I saw Dr Johnston who told me I had a serious infection called Cellulitis. He prescribed a ten day antibiotic (Augmentin). I am convinced that the source of this infection is the pedicure at Angel Nails in the Meijer store on North Prospect. Also, they did a terrible mani/pedi on my husband. The tech cut his toe nails so short that they bled when he took his walk the morning after.

I 've been here before but this recent visit, I was disappointed. I came on a Sunday for just a…read morepedi and mani. It was only 3 customers there. I was seated for my pedi and I felt like the process was rushed. When I asked about the pricing, she talked to me in a rude way like I was asking too many questions. She barely put on the polish right to my satisfaction. When it was time to for my mani, I ended up getting the full set because regular mani was $45 and gel was $50. The guy that did my hands seemed to be rushing as well and cut my skin using the file board He did't ask if I wanted my actual nails cut and it was too late before I could say anything. I was not too happy with this visit.
