Negative stars! I was happy with this salon for several years until they started cutting corners with a drimmel and heavy sandpaper like buffing and filing. I asked my doctor why collagen and biotin weren't helping my nails, and she said she could see where a drimmel was used without me even mentioning it. None of these tools should ever be used on natural nails. Now it will take many months for my nails to grow strong enough to stop chipping and breaking, providing my nail beds aren't permanently damaged. Very upset. read more

I have been going to Lin (maybe Lin) for gel shellac for several years. Until recently, she did my manicure well, for which I always gave her a 20% tip. However, Lin gave me shorter and shorter gel shellac treatments. And instead of the allotted hour for a gel manicure, she began doing it in 25 minutes. The last gel shellac she did started peeling off on the 6th day after the manicure. 07/02/24, when I went to Lin for a manicure and showed her this message in Vietnamese: "The last manicure was very different from the previous ones. I noticed it right away. The edges of the nails started peeling on the 6th day. I had to trim a lot of the chipped nails. This has never happened before." I showed this message to the receptionist as well. As you can see, there were no insults in the message. Then I politely asked her to do the gel manicure in the allotted time. Lynn jumped up, muttered something about her clients and me, then hissed angrily and went into the back room. Incredible rudeness towards a client. I'm 63 years old, never had any problems. And here I am, receiving such rudeness from an impudent hysteric. How is this possible? And then I saw that another client was already waiting for her. So she was going to do my shellac again in 20-25 minutes, squeezing me in between other clients. And when I asked her to do my manicure during the allotted time for a gel manicure, she realized that this time it wouldn't work and put on this performance of an offended hysteric. This is outrageous behavior. read more

Got a classic mani/pedi today from Selena. I've been happy with everyone who has served me here, but today I got one of the best mani/pedis I've ever gotten. She took her time and trimmed my cuticles really well. Good paint job too. I will be back, will request her, and will tip well for the same great service. read more

I was disappointed with my visit. I had been there before and received much better service. The older gentleman who did my pedicure first filled the tub up with cold water. I put my feet in and told him it was cold. He turned away without saying anything and came back and poured a coffee pot of hot water in it. I said it was still cold and he did nothing. He spent 5 secs getting the dead skin off. That is why I went. He seemed very unenthusiastic to be doing my pedicure. I feel bad he has to this but this is a service and I very much felt like I was a chore. I asked if there hot water was off and he grunted. It was not off because other customers were getting hot water. The massage was not very good. Bummed out. read more

Mother's Day gift while I was visiting my parents from Cali. Very good attention to detail, checked and verified my nails were how I wanted them and adjusted accordingly. This would have been a 5 star review had some random woman (employee) whom I had not been working with , not commented that my preference of clear polish would still cost the full amount. I don't choose clear because I want or expect a discount- Would recommend coming here overall minus that particular woman's rudeness. ** also Pay in cash if you can, so you can get the %10 discount. I had a deluxe pedi which was fine but I asked for a gel mani and that's where it all went wrong. I saw another review so maybe this is a common problem here, but the tech was not very careful when trimming my cuticles and made me bleed. She continued to rub alcohol on it and it burned like crazy. She was using the alcohol to try to remove the blood from my nails but it just caused my nails to bleed more (while I screamed internally). 24 hours has past and my nails still burn. The paint job was also sloppy and there are bubbles caught in the coat (she said the bubbles will be gone after adding top coat. The top coat removed some bubbles but not all). Honestly their gel nail is not worth the money. I really just want it removed and want my money back, but my skin needs to heal before doing the acetone soak to remove the gel. read more

I was among this nail salon's first customers when it opened in Monticello almost five years ago. I always made a point of going to Diva Nails every time I visited my mom. She and I have decided to follow them to Champaign, and the new place is great! First, the new salon is prettier and more spa-like than your typical nail place. The technicians are diligent about cleanliness and never do a rush job even when the salon is busy. I was very pleased with my mani and pedi, and my mom was pleased with her manicure and eyebrow wax. Prices are reasonable, esp. given that the owners have made strong efforts to create a luxurious environment. read more

My stepmom and I went into Diva nails one afternoon before a wedding I was attending that weekend. The salon was empty when we arrived, but quickly filled as people started getting off work. The pedicure tubs were given new liners and all the tools were taken out of sterilized bags before use. A+ for cleanliness! Our pedicures were very thorough, with massage, lotions, scrubs and cuticle trimming. The staff was very friendly and spent a lot of time. The woman who did my pedicure also spent a lot of time on my hands, even though I had only asked for a polish change. If I could, I might take away half a star for uncomfortable pedicure chairs, but he rest of the experience was so positive, that they deserve the 5 stars. It's 5 days later, and my polish has just started to chip. Overall, a great experience. read more

This salon is great. The techs are very friendly, the salon is super clean (including the bathroom) and the service is always top notch. However, there is one problem that keeps occurring, hence the four stars instead of five. On three different occasions I had an appointment scheduled and when I showed up, I had to wait 15+ minutes past my appointment time for my tech to finish with another client. Please fix this! You should respect appointment times and not allow a tech to take a client if it will cause them to run late for a client with an appointment. read more

The signature pedicure with hot wax was outstanding! However, the tech cut my cuticles overzealously on my manicure and caused me to bleed. The polish was sloppy and wasn't cleaned off the edges of my fingers by Anna the manicurist. I'm going back to Elegant where they are more meticulous. read more

I have been to 95% of the nail salons here in Champaign Urbana and they all stink. I took a poll on Facebook to see which nail salon others liked. By a landslide, this place was voted for. I went in at 11am on a Saturday and was greeted with smiles and a pleasant atmosphere. I'm going back for fills and a spa pedicure! read more

I have previously gotten my nails done here and it was great! Great service, nice atmosphere... However, today I came in with my mother as a Mother's Day treat and didn't have an appointment. As such, we understood that it might be a bit of a wait. They told me that they could fit us in 40 minutes later, so we suggested that we would make an appointment for an hour later- so that they could accommodate us. We showed up an hour later and wait 10 minutes after our appointment (and after someone that had come in after us had complained and she then got seated for a pedicure). We were told that they were waiting for hot water, but yet couldn't we have just gotten a manicure? After 30 minutes of waiting around with little communication, we decided to leave. While this place is very close to my house, I will NOT be back due to their excuses and lack of communication overall... The crossing should get a new nail place. read more
