Fantastic store, one of my fave chains and this location was great. Clean, organized, stocked and friendly staff. I come to this chain every holiday season for Christmas crackers, a tradition over Christmas dinner every year. Also tons of candy, chocolate, specialty food items, gift boxes, home decor and small toys for gifts and stocking stuffers. I have a friend that is hard to shop for as they grew up in a wealthy family, but I can find something here for them almost always. This year it's a 9 pack of beer from around the world for $20. read more

I have always enjoyed my time at any of these stores. They carry things from all over the world like the name explains. Some items (comings from HI) are definitely overpriced but if you can't locate them where ur from, come here. I like that I can pick up food items to try and it wont break the bank. They also have cute kitchen items. There's a nice assortment of beers and wines. The cat series riesling, always brings me back to add to my collection. read more

Visited World Market and it has a lot of very cool and stylish looking merchandise, but it's all cheaply made and overpriced. The furniture, mostly repros of old designs, are way overpriced considering the flimsy materials. Try to pull out a drawer on any of the desks/cabinets, and they don't slide smoothly. The clocks and lights are cheap thin metal. While I was noticing all this, there was a bird trapped in the building, likely starving to death, while staff stood around making small talk. It's kind of hard to shop for whatever they might have that ISN'T overpriced, when there's trapped birds in the building. read more

Visited World Market because I already had my eye on a very pretty flamingo chair for two years. But I didn't have the money to buy it until I saw it advertise online for 40% off so I order it. I thought they would call me right away so I drove to the store to pick it up myself. I live an hour away from Keiser mind you. I get there I get the chair I explain about the order that I want to cancel my online order and just take the chair since I'm there. I speak to "the manager" Vanessa she refuses to cancel my order and because it was my first time buying from them I sign up for their "members rewards" which is a JOKE I should have gotten 15% off the first time buying but SHE REFUSES to honor it. When I placed my online order they gave me a 10% off curbside and Vanessa did not want to give that either she kept asking if I had a coupon? She doesn't have a coupon there's nothing she can do for me. I felt so humiliated having to beg her and for her to be on a high power trip because she said SHE was the store manager and there wasn't anything she couldn't do for me except be horribly rude and disrespectful. I love World Market. I don't understand why you wouldn't. Ok, so the quality is a bit lacking. But the prices are great and the employees are very friendly and helpful. The price offsets the foreign, Walmart type products. I also get the feeling its Pier One's little brother. It's not that hard to find a great deal either. Their furniture collection looked to be pretty decent for the money. I can barely remember going to the Washington Square WM way back in the day. However, I do remember higher quality standards then. I was next in line at the register when I saw a man logging in to the next register. The young lady at my register said, "he can help you over there, Im closing my til". The people behind me went over to him and got in line. He started helping them. Then there is me, next in line, but now last in line. I looked at the young teller and she said, "he can help you over there." I went to that line but was not happy with the horrible customer service so I put my stuff on the shelf next to my line and I walked out. I went to Bed Bath & Beyond and bought my stuff. The name is exciting--suggesting that customers will find treasures from far away lands that they could only have previously imagined in their dreams. But that's where the excitement ends. "World" Market brings in goods from other lands, yes--but those lands are China (!) and Thailand, mostly, with a little Germany or Brittan thrown in to convince customers that this is more than an over priced Wal Mart. The latter countries, however, appear in the form of food, not goods, and are not so unusual that you could not find them elsewhere. In fact, much of the food can be found at your local Winco. This "market" is not a complete loss; the beer and wine selection is good, so long as you are unaware of a little place called Capitol Market. Overall, the place fails to be well rounded or "worldly" in any sense of the word. read more

On 12/30/2016, my husband and I purchased the black Verona table and two benches during their 50% off furniture sale. At the time, they had the benches in stock but needed to order the table. We agreed that we would wait for the table to come in and buy/pick-up everything at once. I called in February (2 months later) to ask if the table had come yet and what the holdup was. They said it hadn't come yet but the benches were still in back with our name on them. A month later in March, I called back. This time, the benches had been sold out from under us and still no table. By now, the benches (in black) were no longer available so Euclide and Andy did their best to negotiate with other stores to trade for their stock - no such luck. Long story short, Euclide and Andy turned this bad experience into the best customer service experience I've ever had! TAKE NOTE OTHER BUSINESSES; THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT CUSTOMERS... 1. They offered for me to find another set I liked online and they would price match the deal. I opted to stick with the Verona style but switch colors from black to mahogany. 2. When I called in February, they were having a 60% off furniture sale and said they would honor that for my inconvenience (an extra 10% off)! 3. They honored a 15% off coupon we were planning to use but had expired by the time the dust settled. This was in addition to #2 above! 4. They saw that I was eyeballing some tufted dining chairs to put at the ends of the table so they offered me 2 at practically cost!!! Not only did they make it right, they went well above and beyond to make us happy! Throughout the predicament, I was treated with kindness and respect! I know right, who does that anymore?! I am also happy to report that we've had the set for 2 months now and we couldn't be happier with the quality. Very solid, sturdy, and was easy to put together. Thank you World Market, especially Andy and Euclide, for your exemplary customer service and quality products! We are customers for life! read more

Everyone here is always so friendly and helpful. They also have some super random stuff, so I love that about the store as well. They have all sorts of cooking and serving items, and their wine selection is one of the best I have ever seen. who doesn't like this place? it's like you're walking into another world, filled of crap and food you don't need. i like to imagine this place as the Walmart of foreign crap. sure it's fun and good crap, but it's crap nevertheless. the furniture is cheap and is sometimes even scratched/broken in store! the food and wine selection is HUGE though, and this is where this place earns its 4 stars. checkout lines can be long and tedious. last time in there, hubby and I waited behind some doughnut for a man buying a year's supply of wine and pasta sauce. one checker. so i had to watch them scan, wrap, and bag each frickin' wine and pasta item. This is a nice little place to run to on a quick work break for me. I would like to see a better variety of goods from european countries, not just food. I LOVE the beer and wine section, especially on tasting days when i am off work in time. Prices can bee a little steep compares to other stores that carry the same product. read more
