For me, it's a great place for buying made-in-Oregon food products to send to out-of-state friends or give to friends who are visiting and want to take something small back with them that can fit in a suitcase. To wit, I've purchased made in Oregon cookies (the shortbread cookies are excellent), seasonings, seasoned nuts, chocolate-covered nuts and berries, local honey, and some other fun items as gifts for friends. Everyone who received them said they were very tasty and enjoyed these items. This store also has a nice selection of wine from local Oregon vineyards, including a super-sweet dessert port, prosecco, red and white varietals, etc. Lastly, every time I have been in this store, the salespersons have been uniformly friendly, attentive and helpful.

Physically, it is highly improbable for two distinct raw varietals from separate microclimates to exhibit identical physical behavior. Unless the bees from both regions coordinated their production metrics, this uniform thickness strongly points to a shared commercial base syrup. In addition, both shared a medicinal "cough syrup" background flavor and caused an immediate blood sugar spike in a sugar-sensitive family member who routinely consumes genuine raw honey safely. My family eats raw honey straight and unmixed daily - and I have consumed mostly dark crystallized varietals like buckwheat for over 40 years - making us highly attuned to atypical textures and glycemic profiles. I appreciate that the seller promptly accepted a return and processed a full refund, although I covered return shipping. To summarize: a responsive, knowledgeable seller - yet the product didn't meet my criteria for raw unadulterated honey.

A young-ish tall woman was the only salesperson on duty. She barely greeted us when we entered, paced around the floor with a pissed-off bored look on her face, fiddled with some stuff behind the counter, paced around impatiently some more, and did a stellar job of vibing us right out the door. There were a few other shoppers in the store and I noted they didn't stay long either. Totally baffling because my friend and I are your target demographic. We very likely would have done some serious shopping. Congrats on hiring someone who will make sure your store is empty, and safe from all those pesky and bothersome shoppers! Was it an ageism issue? Was she just having an off day? Who knows; who cares. I first became aware of this business when a work colleague brought bags of their popcorn to work…read more I was impressed with the popcorn and so it went on my list! The store is packed with decorative tins you can select to contain your popcorn if you are giving it as a gift. Also there was a bunch of unusual candies on offer, as well as fudge. But I was here for the popcorn. The selection is huge! Sweet, savory, spicy, tangy, it's all represented here. Service was super relaxed and friendly. They were patient with me while I perused the extensive menu. If you aren't getting a tin for the popcorn, they sell it in bags. There are a bunch of different size bags, and I liked that there are smaller (but still generous) sized bags that enable you to try a variety of different flavors. I went with white cheddar, Chicago mix (caramel and cheese), spicy pickle, Jalapeno ranch, peanut butter chocolate, and Oreo. All were so delicious! Every kernel was packed with flavor. The popcorn itself was fresh and with zero unpopped kernels. The seasonings were all just right, not too much or too little, and evenly adhered to the popcorn. So addictive! The service was super nice, and the prices not too bad. I think they deliver too. I grabbed a menu because I will definitely be back! Such a great place to have here in Salem.
