All the extra charges they like to charge. Dine in surcharge, card processing fee, BYOB fee.

When we walked in it smelled like cat pee... it was a Saturday night and no one was there eating. I seen lots of pictures of the food and it looked so good so we had to try it. The food was good but not for the money. 2 meals, summer roll and spring rolls $70?!?! They charge for BYOB, dine in surcharge, card fee, THEY EVER CHARGE 30 cents for a lemon wedge. Only 1 other person came in to dine while we were there. Between the 4 of us (went with another couple we dropped $140 at this place.) And the lady walks over and says 5 minutes before closing "okay we close now" while the other people were still eating beside us. Basically telling us to get out. Really sad because the food was good but not good enough to go back and deal with that again!

We have been eating here at least once a week for the past two years. We travel 20 miles one way. This is one of the best Thai vegan friendly restaurants around. The quality and freshness of the food is always excellent. Everything is homemade. It's a small independent owned business. It's always service with a smile. From outside looks like a small hole in the wall restaurant. When you eat their food you'll be glad you did.

Stopped in after a long day of hiking in the area to get some vegan food and we were immediately taken back by all the "rules". There was a 20% tip automatically added to your bill but if it wasn't at least $3 then they'd charge you that. Plus, if you wanted them to wrap it up at the end, it was an additional $1.25. They also had a strict no outside food or beverages rule where they'd charge you TWENTY dollars if you brought in your own food (see a previous review where someone brought their young daughter a PB&J and got charged for having her sit there). We were so thirsty and were nervous they might charge for tap water too, so we ended up ordering takeout instead. Overall, the food we ended up getting was good and the sauces were nice, but it would've been nice now that York was in the green phase to eat inside.

This is not authentic Thai street food. Tofu needs to be reworked. Service needs to improve.

I ordered the pad kee mao, which was also named drunken noodles on the website. When I got the dish, it was flavorless, with a brownish gray cornstarch slurry type of sauce. We called the restaurant, since this was a takeout dish. Upon talking to someone working there, she started arguing and explaining that the restaurant was open 10 years and the recipe was fine and that we should have specified Bangkok noodles instead. Every single thai restaurant I have ever been to, from the east coast to the west coast, makes a reddish colored drunken noodle dish they call pad see mao. I have never received anything that looks like it is made with a cornstarch and soy sauce slurry or tastes this bland, even ordered with their normal spice level. We were met with hostility during this call. Not once were we asked if we would be able to come in and have our dish remade. Instead, the woman insisted we were wrong and implied our palates were off. I would never go back here and wouldn't recommend any of my friends go here either. The food itself would have gotten 2 stars, but this interaction is what is driving the 1 star review. Edit: looking at pictures posted by people of their pad see mao, mine looks completely different and clearly wasn't made correctly. I guess whoever picked up the phone was so convinced that they gave the right dish that they didn't care to listen to our complaints.

I recently stopped by Sawasdee Thai Cuisine and had a great experience overall…read more To start, I ordered a Thai tea and their wonton soup. The soup came with Thai pork, vegetables, and scallions. It was very flavorful and came out nice and hot so good that I didn't feel the need to add anything extra to it. For my main dish, I ordered my go-to Thai meal: chicken and basil. It was super delicious. The chicken was well-seasoned, cooked perfectly, and the dish came out hot and fresh just like the soup. Parking was easy since they have their own dedicated parking lot. It's not huge, but I had no trouble finding a spot. The restaurant itself is family-friendly, and they had music playing in the background that added to the atmosphere without being too loud or distracting. Service was a little slower than usual today it took about 15 minutes for someone to come over and take my food and drink order, but once the order was placed, the food came out quickly. The staff was still very kind and welcoming, and things happen sometimes, so it wasn't enough for me to take away from the overall experience. They also have bathrooms available, which is always helpful for families stopping in. Seating options are tables, booths, and table and booth combination, If you enjoy Thai cuisine, this is definitely a spot worth checking out!

My wife and I tried a bit of everything with the foreknowledge that we'd be taking a to go box for what we couldn't finish. We both eat vegan so it was the vegetable spring rolls to begin with. I'm not usually one to brag on spring rolls but they were really delicious. I personally enjoyed the vegan soup with clear broth, veggies and tofu. Next up was the Pad Thai without peanuts due to my nut allergies and fried tofu. Man it was flavorful. Powerful but not overwhelming. My wife and I shared a bit of vegetable fried rice without eggs or meat. Definitely better than most places I've had fried rice at. 11 out of 10. But wait; there's more. My wife had some kind of flat noodle with brown sauce and veggies. The texture was soft with a mild flavor. Not too strong or off putting. Just simple. There was only one server but the service was pleasant and kindly. If you enjoy less people around then this would be a great ambiance for you. Oh almost forgot! My iced Thai tea was fantastic. Very sweet though like a dessert so I had to sip it in stages but enjoyable.
