Recently I came in to replace the rear brake pads because my Mini Cooper gave an automatic warning to replace them based on mileage. I brought it to Auto 7 Tech; rather than simply replacing the pads they inspected it and actually told me that the pad thickness was fine and that I didn't need to replace them yet - the prioritized being honest over getting me to pay for potentially unnecessary service. However when I went to pick my car up, they let me know that they had inspected more closely and found that the inner surface on the left pad was indeed worn down. I appreciate this attention to detail and transparency. I also asked them if I needed to replace the rotors, and they told me that they had driven the car around and concluded that the rotors didn't need replacement (in contrast two other shops insisted on bundling the pad replacement and the rotor replacement). In my experience Auto 7 also gives very fair pricing compared to other shops. At Auto7 they will inspect your car carefully and thoroughly before recommending service, and they will not try to upsell you or take advantage of you.

I've never been this impressed with this sort of stuff before but that's because I've never come across some as downright thorough as this gentleman. To top it off he's reasonably priced and does the work in a very timely fashion according to the level of damage he's having to fix. I had people tell me it would be impossible to fix the hole in my bumper without painting the entire front end of my vehicle claiming that the paint wouldn't blend or look good if they didn't do all that work which would have cost a couple thousand , low and behold Touch Up Masters did it no problem-- you can't even tell where the work was done and the paint was blended. Im so glad I had patience and found this shop because I was losing hope I'd ever fix this issue for a reasonable price. From the very beginning, they treated me like a person instead of just another insurance claim or dumb girl walking into a car shop. One thing that immediately stood out was that they actually asked me, "How perfect do you want this to look?" That might sound like a small question, but it wasn't. They took the time to explain my options instead of automatically pushing the most expensive repair possible, which I really appreciated. I have a 2015 and so it doesn't need to look fresh off the lot. Their estimate also came in **significantly** lower than another shop I visited, but at no point did it feel like they were cutting corners. The repair quality was excellent, and my Mazda looks fantastic again. What really earned this review, though, was the top notch customer service. When they noticed my Mazda emblem had cracked, they replaced it for me. During the conversation I jokingly mentioned making it pink... and they actually custom did it. It's such a fun little personal touch that makes me smile every time I walk up to my car. Most body shops fix your vehicle and send you on your way. Nova managed to fix my car and make the experience pain free and memorable. Nobody wants to spend $$$ on body work, but if you have to, it's nice knowing you're working with people who are honest, communicate well, and genuinely care about their customers. I went against my better judgment and brought it to Autocraft Bodywerks instead of the Tesla Collision Center; the former had a shorter wait time. The San Marcos shop had my car for *four months* before returning it to me with a slew of problems, mainly an audibly loud wind noise coming from the passenger side, and both right side doors and the trunk not closing without being slammed. The South Austin location then attempted to remedy their sister shop's work (they did manage to repair some of the interior damage that was caused by the San Marcos shop - thank you for that, Tammie), but they did not fix the wind noise or the doors, and in fact there are now two additional external problems - one being the frunk/hood not being properly aligned and the other involving the trunk. It appears that they do not know what they are doing. I don't know how else to summarize my experience. Unfortunately, my insurance paid them upfront and now I'm left with a vehicle that doesn't function properly. I do not recommend bringing your Tesla to them. Drove and saw him for a free estimate which he got to me that evening. I asked him when I was at his shop doing the estimate about how long he thought it would take. He said a week or less. I told him I wanted to be in San Antonio on the following Wednesday. He informed me he would have space for me the next day, Thursday. I checked the estimate and brought the car back to him on Thursday after work. Matt was waiting for me. He was communicative, prompt, affable, funny and smart. I could tell from the minute I started talking with him I liked him. On his day off, Sunday, he called me and told me that he thought he could definitely make that happen and he did. Mind you he just had a baby girl so sleep was abviously an issue. He delivered and he delivered more than what he assured me that he would do and promised that he would do. The work that I received coupled with the transparency and honesty that he gave me regarding what I thought was possibly a bent axle or hub which was actually only a control arm which he diagnosed replaced and fixed when he could have told me it was more. Fixing the wheel and then color matching my very detailed Pearl paint. Wow! When I was picking up my car, I walked into his office and told him it looked better than when I bought it. Matt told me he does things like he would do them for himself. I'm the same way and respected the hell out of that. I went to fill up my car and realized he had not cut any corners when I noticed the inside of my fuel well door had been painted with the same care as the visible parts.
