Their proposed fix was to patch it with a cheap velvet that didn't match. I said no, a mismatched patch would only make an already damaged, one of a kind piece look worse. I even tried sourcing matching fabric myself but couldn't find any. The issue was never resolved. They later claimed I "didn't want their help," which isn't true. I wanted it fixed properly, not fixed poorly. My Dad's jacket: During an alteration, their tailor cut away far too much fabric, making the jacket unwearable. I waited over two months for a resolution before having to ask for a refund on the nearly $200 alteration, since they couldn't fix what they had done. After all of this, I asked them to reimburse me for my Mom's jacket, given my five years of loyalty and the fact that nearly a year had passed without the issue ever being resolved. They refused, saying too much time had gone by. It's never too late to do the right thing. What frustrates me most is the pattern: they keep entrusting delicate, vintage, and sentimental garments to people who are not equipped to handle them, then leave customers to absorb the consequences. I was patient, I tried to help find a solution, and I gave them every opportunity to make it right. I'm left with two family heirlooms that were damaged while in their care. If you have vintage or irreplaceable pieces, take them elsewhere.
