Great little cafe tucked away in Haltom city with sweet coffee drinks, smoothies, sandwiches...and shipping! Why go to Starbucks #3942 on any street corner when you can try a one-off local coffee and sandwich shop like World Blend? The interior is cozy and welcoming, though one corner is taken up with the shipping business, complete with empty containers on the wall. Not typical coffee shop decor, but in this case somehow added to the "mom-and-pop" small business feel, which I found charming. The study room is also a nice touch. I ordered a brewed Brazilian blend coffee, which was rich and smooth. My friend ordered an iced cold press, and had good things to say about it. The counter was tended by a single worker with an accent. He had a stoic sensibility, with kind eyes, and was very helpful. I've read mixed reactions to the customer service here. And, not to invalidate the experiences of others to which I was not a witness, but my impression is that he is reserved, which some have misinterpreted as distant or standoffish. I recommend World Blend and look forward to future visits. read more

I ordered the nitro coffee and a brisket empanadas. The empanada was packed with brisket and potato and was very flavorful. I then ordered a sausage breakfast sandwich. It was a mild-tasting patty and the croissant was fluffy flaky. I will have to stop by here more often when on this side of town. read more

I've always passed by this location for quite some time on Basswood, yet after reading the previous Yelp reviews, I made a commitment to myself that today would be the day to see why folks like World Blend so much. First off, on Fridays, this location is rockin'!!! Considerable traffic for mailing items, plus getting a bite to eat or hot beverage. The owner (Val) is unbelievably considerate and nice. The coffee, as well as specialty drinks such as lattes, expressos, etc, are very fresh. I wound up purchasing a triple expresso along with chicken salad sandwich and was quite pleased with the freshness of the sandwich plus quantity size of the triple expresso (double that of Starbuck's version). The confines of this venue are relaxing, with local art placed on the walls as well as an active community board. Along with your expected snacks of fruit, brownies, cupcakes, etc, World Blend even serves ice cream (whaaaaaaaaat???). What's not to love about that? One noticeable thing is that Val appears to work by himself. In spite of the busy activity on both the beverage side on the left and mailing service on the right, he runs a busy operation that could use one extra employee. Nonetheless, with a little patience, he makes it work and doesn't appear to get flustered. Well worth waiting for, even if for a few minutes. I'll certainly be back. read more

I have lived in the area for awhile now, but this is my first time trying World Blend. The decor is typical coffee shop looking, and the baristas were kinda unfriendly. They have a dedicated area to ship packages, which is an interesting edge for a coffee shop. We tried the pumpkin spice cold brew, iced green tea, and chocolate croissant. I was looking for a refreshing tea yesterday so I went to my handy yelp app and discovered World Blend. I walked in and was greeted by the friendly gentleman working. I told him what I was looking for and he pointed me in the right direction. He had quit a selection of teas to choose from. I was looking for a caffeine pick me and something refreshing, maybe fruity. I ended up getting an organic green tea with citrus and ginkgo and mmmm .... it was perfect! As I waited for my tea I browsed around for a bit. This coffee shop reminded me a little bit of the Central Perk off the Friends ... kinda. It had that cozy feel that I watched for years on the show. There were some traditional tables and chairs and more comfortable furniture as well. They also have a shipping area so you can stop in here and get your coffee and complete all your mail stuff in one stop! One of my favorite things here was also the study room in back. If I was still living in the area and going to school I would totally utilize this place for studying or meeting up with friends, or working on projects. The study room has a whole wall that is a chalk board. The guy working told me that the room was a work in progress but he hopes to have it completely repainted and done in a few months. So if you have been passing by this place and haven't stopped in - DO IT! He has tons of coffee drinks, pastries, cakes, cookies and smoothies. I am baffled by this place. It's a coffee shop/postal center where you can ship off UPS FEDEX or USPS products. The baked goods look as if the owner went to Costco or Sam's Club and bulk bought to put on display for sale. The coffee is subpar. From a place called World Blend, my expectations for coffee is much higher than what I would expect from a McDonalds Mcafe or a Starbucks Frap. Instead its pricey and I put it a 2 notches below a McDonalds coffee. The problem here? The guy seems to work by himself and a little help might go a ways to help improve service and possibly the quality. He charges a premium over what I could send off a package for if I printed my own label which I wouldn't mind if he was more helpful and less defensive of his pricing. I only use this place to mail off a package if I'm in a hurry otherwise I would rather drive to Mark IV and go the USPS Kiosk. At least the kiosk doesnt talk back to me defending the pricing. I use the Tarrant Parkway FedEx kinko's or the UPS postal store by Walmart for my Amazon return needs and I avoid this place at almost all costs. Other than that, the ambiance and atmosphere in the store seems right as I see people studying here occasionally. Still I would rather find a nice noisy corner inside a Starbucks. read more

I am a total coffee snob and I was unimpressed with this establishment. The coffee was just average and I'm not quite sure they know the difference between a dark roast and an arabiac coffee. Definitely left a lot to be desired for me when all I wanted was an average cup of joe. I did the three stars because their prices were okay unless you order a specialty coffee and it's still just okay. The service wasn't on par that day either. It seemed as if only part of the staff knew what they were doing and one person was too busy on their cell phone to realize people were waiting and how busy they were. Not a good place if they are busy and you are on your way to work. I will give it a try again, but at a later time. Hopefully by then they will have it a little more together. read more

Came in on a Sunday afternoon. Very nice and intimate place, very good for studying. Ordered a Mangonada and a CUBAN sandwich, both were very good. The sandwich had a nice amount of pork and ham, crispy bread and an interesting flavor of pickles with no overbearingess... if that makes sense! The mangos in the mangonada were delicious and sweet. My fiancé and I are on a mission to find the best coffee in FW and this is DEFINITELY a contender. We visited for the first time and the barista was so friendly and explained several different signature flavors to us and was patient while we tried to decide. After deciding, our drinks were made incredible quick. We both got flavored iced coffee. We got the Azteca and the Texas. Both were a little sweet and thick for me but I wanted to venture out and try something new. Regardless of my preference the coffee quality and flavor profiles were unique and intricate.
