Terrible absolutely terrible service, waited 10 minutes in line just to order food and waited another 15 minutes waiting for my food so I basically spent my entire break waiting in line. To top it all off the ladies who works there didn't acknowledge me, this is awful. The prepared food is extremely expensive at $29/lb. The bakery portion is more reasonably priced but there desserts are overly sweet, dry and old, not worth it at any price. The service is decent and the place looks clean. Other than that I can purchase my cuban food elsewhere for a lot less!!!! read more

World Bakery is by far the best cuban bakery in Naples. If you're just visiting, you must try some cuban pastries. Unfortunately for Naples people, they don't get the goodness of having many local cuban bakeries like Miami. I judge cuban bakeries by their pastry and their señoritas. I tried other bakeries in the area and their pastry tasted off and did not have the right flakiness. World Bakery is top notch for their pastry- really good pastelitos de guayaba y queso y carne. The señoritas are the best I've had in so long! The custard was perfect. The croquetas de jamón were also excelente. Not to the level of Islas Canarias but still very, very good. I also ordered a mamey shake here and it was delish. Overall, you're not going to find a better cuban bakery in Naples than World Bakery. I highly recommend their yummy pastries! read more

Visited here yesterday and already want to go back, They had a large food counter, with all kinds of different meats and vegetables and rice, beans etc., and it all looked wonderful, but I was more interested in the sweets I got the meringue cookie which was about the size of the palm of my hand, and it was everything I wanted it to be. Flaky sugar that crumbled in my hand and melted to sweet nothingness in my mouth. I also got a pastry, and I have no idea what the name of it is maybe a Seniorita?, or what it was even really made of, but it was something I would definitely eat again. It had several very flaky layers - it looked like graham crackers from afar, but it was definitely not a graham crackers, and there was custard in between. More, please. All of the desserts looked so incredibly delicious, but I just don't have enough time to eat more of them, as I am just visiting Naples for a few days, and I'm sad about that. The beef ribs and chicharrón were awful. They had no flavor, not even salt. The rice is good, a bit greasy, but still good. Customer service is not helpful and awkward. My order was $20 for essentially a decent bowl of rice. The ribs and $6 chicharrón I couldn't finish. read more

The food is good so are the pastries however they need to work on their social skills My husband & I were ignored when we wanted to order from the bakery section after they eventually came, they still had a bad attitude. True, they have a captive audience since there's no bakeries in Naples but their lack of interest makes me not want to go back On the other hand, they remodeled the place nicely.. New owners, food portions are about the same as before however, it doesn't have the same taste, like the ingredients are off with the spices. Still a good place for bakery and food to go! Great place for plantains beans and rice. Roast pork and oxtail still makes my mouth water. Less busy than before. This is one of those places I've been finding reading yelp on my travels...seeking good eats--local and cheap! The chicken special was simple and tasty. The pork, rice and peas had my girl wanting more. Ropa was a hit and the pork ribs, though a bit fatty went down nice. Did I mention that the flan was amazing? So I bought enough to feed the family. OMG this place is delicious!!! Huge portions at reasonable prices. The mojo pork is melt in your mouth amazing. The shredded beef was very flavorful and also melted in my mouth!!! Tried yellow rice and beans and dark rice and beans. Very different flavor profile. Not sure which I like better. The plantains were also wonderful. Ham croquettes were some of the best I've had. Up there with the homemade food my Cuban friends make. Also got some desserts to take home. Haven't tried them yet. Will definitely be back to try other menu items. They also have a case of lovely baked goods. I don't have much of a sweet tooth but certain things you just can't pass up, like flan and tres leches. Like I said, haven't tasted the dessert yet. Wow has this place gone downhill! Very sad! They used to make a fabulous Cuban sandwich but they have obviously let their standards down. The pork was extremely fatty and tasteless while the ham tasted rancid. Threw it in the trash and skipped lunch today! read more

I'm new to Cuban food, but I get the sense that this place is legit. It had a line out the door when I arrived, and the entire time we were eating there was a constant stream of people coming in. One of my good Cuban buddies told me that we HAD to go there for good Cuban food. Naturally, I let him order for me. Dark rice was really good, as were the plantains and the pork - tender and very flavorful. Yucca was tasty and prepared really uniquely, sort of mashed and not starchy. Grab some flan and tres leches before you go because the desserts and pastries were really the highlight at this place. For what it is, This place is super unassuming - it's a bit of a hole in the wall cafeteria type place - but it will not let you down for homemade style, really good comfort food. read more

Typical Cuban cafeteria style restaurant. There are steam trays loaded with several types of rice, meats, plantains and yucca. I had the chicken todays the end of the day. It was a little overcooked. It's much better around noon. But the rice, beans and plantains were more resilient. The pastry case looks delectable. I ordered a piece of Tunno de Mani (Cuban Peanut Butter Fudge). I cut of a piece and brought the rest. I'd like to come back for breakfast or a coffee break with pastry someday. read more

This place is delicious, authentic, and inexpensive Cuban food. Stopped in here for a cafe con leche based on ratings from fellow yelpers. Once I saw the line, I figured I should really give it a full-try! I ended up leaving with a whole meal, my coffee, and 2 desserts for $11! I don't eat meat so I attempted a vegetarian sampler platter. I got yellow rice, rice with beans, yucca, and plantains. I also got a couple desserts tres leches cake (the key to my heart) and flan, which I am saving for dinner time. :) The food was so good! The rice and beans was amazing, but after a few bites I quickly realized it wasn't vegetarian(Boo! Sometimes ignorance really is bliss! :) ). The yellow rice was really great as well. It had onions, peas, Lima beans, carrots, and other goodies mixed in, but still was not quite as flavorful as the black beans and rice. The plantains were AMAZING as they usually are at any good Latin American restaurant. Lastly, the yucca... What to say about the yucca? Well it was very interesting and more flavorful than the traditional yucca preparation I have had in the past. All the other places where I have tried yucca, they fry it and it usually ends up as a thick cut, relatively flavorless and dry French fry type thing. This preperation of yucca is much different since they seemed to have boiled or saluted the yucca in a way that didn't leave it dry or crispy at all. Instead, the it was really moist and actually slimy in texture, which wasn't my favorite, but it was far more flavorful so I wasn't too mad at it! :) I don't recommend it for anyone that has texture issues when it comes to food. Lastly the cafe con leche was delish and the sweeetest coffee I have ever had, but it was still so good! Would rate 5 stars for the authenticity, price, and popularity of the food, but I'm rating 4 because of the cafeteria style set up and seat yourself fast food like dining experience. read more

This bakery was between the neighborhood we stayed in and the golf course where the guys played, and you know I feel it's my responsiblility to try every bakery. I was also very curious about the word 'cafeteria' on the sign, so we stopped by for lunch one day. The "L" shaped display cases have bakery goods on one side and the cafeteria on the other side. There was a long line on the cafeteria side, which had Cuban food. I had to point and ask what different dishes were and the lady was very helpful. I ordered the shredded beef which came with either white rice or a dark rice with beans and either fried plantains or yucca. When I said 'neither' to the lady, she offered for me to try them, and I did try the yucca, but still passed. OMG, the beef was delicious and the rice was, too. The beef was cooked with onions and other veggies and was so tender and tasty. The rice and beans were the best I've ever had and I wish they would give, or sell, their recipe to The Cheesecake Factory in Naples, where we ate the night before and they bombed their rice. We also got a cookie and an eclair--they were fine--probably wouldn't buy pastries here again. The young cashier was on the phone making what sounded like New Year's plans and we had to wait for her to finish to ring up our food. After a few minutes, we wanted a Coke and again had to wait for her to get off the phone to ring us up....must be the owner's daughter.... :) read more

Food was really good, but the lines and wait time is terrible. Staff was very friendly and helpful, however some of the other patrons were rude as hell. One lady went to the front of the line to act like she was looking and the lady in front of us spoke up and said she was next, we did the same and she goes oh the line goes that way!?
