Our family experience with Gigi's Bakery has not been pleasant since they opened. My first experience: Shortly after Gigi's opened for business I went to buy some guava and meat pastries, I commented to the young man who was waiting on me that the pastries were too puffy which made it difficult to bite into and to keep the flakes from falling all over the person. He replied that this was how they made them at this bakery and that if I didn't like their appearance perhaps I should go elsewhere. This was the reply from an employee of a business that had recently opened. Based on this, I stayed away for several years. My adult son and husband, their most recent experience: They started going to Gigi's for breakfast. Their eat-in section has ceiling fans that usually run all day directly above the tables, therefore promply cooling the food. Cold eggs are never pleasant. My elderly husband has asked on other occasions when there weren't many other patrons if the fans could be turned off, sometimes they were, other times the requests were ignored until a few weeks ago when the male employee replied that he absolutely would not turn off any of the fans. That was my husband's last visit to this business. My last experience: It was a couple of months ago after we left a medical appointment, I wasn't in the mood to cook dinner so I thought I'd buy a Cuban pork sandwich at Gigi's and split it with my husband. The printed menu stated $10.55 for the sandwich and I ordered it along with a couple of pastries, then I noticed that the register showed $15.99 for the sandwich. I pointed out the price discrepancy to the not-very-cordial, heavy-set Latin woman at the counter. She looked at the menu, said the new price was $15.99 and she wouldn't budge or correct the obvious outrageous error. I canceled the sandwich, took the pastries and left vowing to never, ever return. Increasing an already high price of $10.55 to $15.99 for this sandwich represents a 151.56% increase and is certainly uncalled for in this economy. It's obvious Gigi's doesn't give a hoot about customer service as evidenced by our family's experiences throughout the years. It's a shame that more Cuban bakery owners from Miami haven't yet opened branches in Naples, a city which is sorely lacking in high quality bake shops ...not that I am saying Gigi's is high quality. To us, it is not. But I yearn for high quality bakeries such as these found in Miami: Edda's Cake Designs, Karla Bakery, The French Bakery, Pinecrest Bakery and Sweet Art by Lucila. Vicky's Cuban Bakery opened a location at Ave Maria and, although, it'll be a 45 minute trip for us we will gladly make the trip so we can be treated like valued customers who are charged correct prices for what we expect to be high quality pastries, breads and made to order sandwiches. However, if Vicky's should also disappoint us, I will certainly post my review here, but I have high hopes for our upcoming visit to Vicky's. read more

Great little Cuban bakery in the heart of Naples. I got the guava cheese matcha and can honestly say this was the best matcha of my life! The guava jam is made fresh in house sooo delicious. Looked in and could see multiple workers and they looked at me as well without acknowledging me, or giving common courtesy and letting me know if they weren't opening or just running a bit behind, both are totally understandable but to watch me wait out front for over 10 minutes and offer no guidance is absolutely unacceptable. read more

I recently discovered Gigi's Bakery after seeing a video of their specialty Cuban meringue topping on lattes and matcha drinks. I knew I had to try it for myself, and I'm so glad I did. I ordered a pumpkin matcha with the meringue, and you could tell right away that everything was made fresh. The meringue had that slight sugar texture you'd expect, but it was still smooth, delicious, and paired perfectly with the drink. I also appreciated that they use ceremonial-grade matcha, it really makes a difference in flavor. For breakfast, we tried the steak and eggs along with a croissant filled with eggs and cheese. Everything was well-made, full of flavor, and very satisfying. The croissant in particular was decadent and buttery, easily one of the highlights of the meal. Before leaving, I grabbed a few desserts to go. Not everything was labeled, but the staff was incredibly friendly, happy to explain each item, and offered great recommendations. The prices were excellent for the quality and portion sizes. I would definitely recommend Gigi's Bakery to anyone looking for a cute and tasty spot in Naples, whether you're in the mood for a new breakfast place or just want to treat yourself to something sweet. read more

Absolutely love this bakery! The service is always very friendly and helpful! Juan is very helpful if you have any questions. I have tried their triple chocolate dessert 10/10, croqueta 10/10, Chicken and beef empanada, yuca treats and now sandwiches. All have been so delicious and for the price you cannot beat! This bakery is something we definitely needed in this area. I love that it's god based and they have a bible and bible verses on their wall. People can come here for breakfast, coffee or even lunch. Some tables outside and inside too! Plenty of parking available in the lot and clean gender neutral restrooms. We will definitely continue to come back! read more

The looks to the place is nice but we came in for coffee at 2:20 and they said the stopped serving coffee at 2. Received 2 Coke Zero cans and had to ask for ice for the drink it wasn't just a common courtesy. They advertise matcha but you can only get matcha on a specific day. We then sat to order food, food came out looking good but the meat on the inside was cold. Place looks nice but has a lot of things that need to be worked on. How are you going to advertise coffee and matcha everywhere including the website and then not let people know on said website hours coffee is sold and days matcha is made. Staff was sitting around when we walked in, and I say this because our server got up after our order was placed. Instead of having all the leisure time maybe management should start doing coffee till closing time. What's the point to advertising the coffee and serving HOT coffee but then not being able to make it iced? read more

I don't know why they only serve their Drinks on a specific days they should do it everyday because it's inconvenient, so I don't recommend and the workers there seemed to judge us of how we looked, didn't seem like they liked us. Went here for the first time and am proud to say this is the best latte i have ever had in all my years of drinking coffee. their espresso tastes so fresh and don't even get me started on their cold foam. it's so flavorful, adds the perfect amount of sweetness to the latte, and it just coagulates so well. the staff is incredibly sweet, and if you follow them on instagram their marketing is always on point; they are putting in so much effort to bring in new customers and rightfully so. I haven't had the chance to try any of their desserts or food items, but i must go back as it looks incredible in their display cases. This is my favorite Cuban place in Florida. Staff here is always so kind and helpful. The environment and atmosphere is flawless. From the music playing in background to the decor they have made it so welcoming. Any time I'm in the Naples area, I make a special trip here. I refuse to leave without a few dozen croquetas, papa rellena, Cuban sandwiches, and as many sweet treats that I can order. First time trying Gigi's and I got it delivered through DoorDash. I was really in the mood for a Cuban sandwich so I found Gigi's menu to be appealing and perfect for the occasion. They have a sandwich called the "midnight" sandwich which sounded like a good choice to me. I had never had a beef empanada before so I added that to my order, as well as their very tempting guava pastry and their coconut pastry. Everything came hot and it was packaged really well. THE SIZES!?!? Holy wow - their beef empanada was larger than my head and the Midnight sandwich was more than I could eat (yay leftovers!). I was fully 110% expecting the beef empanada to have ground beef in it like I've heard others have in them. I was very pleasantly surprised to bite into fresh, juicy shredded beef that was unlike anything I've ever had. Yes, a lot of it was breading but the breading was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside so no complaints here. 10/10 on the empanada. The "midnight sandwich" was delicious with the perfect ratio of meat/cheese and toppings/condiments. The ham was delicious and tasted really fresh. As for the pastries: both of them were good - I learned I'm not a fan of guava but the pastry overall was tasty. The coconut pastry was *chefs kiss*. I'll definitely be doing back to Gigi's to try their other sandwiches and to get 5 more of those AMAZING EMPANADAS!!!! read more

Very disappointed!! I used to go all the time to Gigis bakery to get the "famous" cortadito because nobody in Naples would do it like them. However, I don't know what happened that now they make the cortadito bitter and I don't know if the change the coffee beans, the milk or if they just put a little bit of it. I went again to give it another shot and they continue making that bitter coffee that just taste awful. read more

The food, service and ambience at Gigi's was magnificent. I had a desire for a Cafe con Leche and stopped at Gigi's. Once there I saw an array of great looking pastries and decided to try some croquetas and a fried potato beef roll. There was only one attendant - handling a number of customers and she was terrific. Her smile and acknowledgment of service was magnetic and I told her not to worry - I would wait. Once I received my order - the flavor of the food was Top Notch. Worth the wait. Wow outstanding customer service. I came in about 1 hrs before closing and they didn't have much left but they checked in the back and said they could fry up some papa rellena and croquettas for me. Of course I said so I made sure to get a good order. Well having me wait was the best because I tried a few things and before you know it $250 later I must have left with more than half the items they sold because everyone at home had to try what I had experienced and not one person was unsatisfied at home. read more

We used to visit often for desserts and coffee and did not mind spending $30 because the quality was so good. Not anymore, last three times we visited the quality has gone down and the prices up. Very sad! read more

Came from Miami Florida a year ago and thanks heaven I found a real authentic Cuban place !!!! This is a place just like back home that I could bring food home the days I don't want to cook and real authentic!!!!!! The Cuban tamales better then the ones I had in Miami and the pork well A+. The only down is they close at 4:00 and sometimes I can't make it on time after work to pick up food. Hopefully they consider one day to maybe stay open to 6:00 to make it easier to those that work. I don't know how I found this place, but I love their empanadas and papas rillenas! I've tried every kind, and they're all really good. That's pretty much the only reason I come here is to grab some of each for a snack or appetizer for dinner. I'm not a sweets person, but they have a good selection of pastries and desserts. The only thing I wouldn't order again is the Cuban pork tamale. It's too bad, bc the tamale itself is huge and tastes great, but there's barely any pork inside, and the meat to masa/corn dough ratio is off; way too much masa/corn dough. So, we tried the most tasty croquetas with meat and empanadas with picadillo, you could see right away it was fresh made. They also have the best café cortado I ever had. Gigi's is a family run Cuban bakery serving delicious sweet goods as well as a wide variety of Sandwiches on the best Cuban bread I have ever eaten. I had read that the portions are generous, so my friend and I split a steak sandwich as well as two of the mouth-watering pastries. The cakes looked amazing, too. The staff was so helpful which we greatly appreciated since that was our first visit to a Cuban bakery. The decor was open and inviting with plenty of room. Parking is easy.
